Lalitha's eyes widened seeing her daughter standing at the entrance, in absolute agony. Tears were flowing from Arpana's eyes. What more can a person go through in life? In this young age, Arpana has gone through more than anyone could imagine. When will life give her happiness?

On the other hand, Arjun was angry with Arpana's biological parents and the people who adopted her. His breathing was rapid as his rage increased. 'Why are these people making this poor girl's life so difficult? What did Arpana do to deserve all this' Arjun thought. But he remained calm as he did not want to create a scene here. Arjun gently placed his hands on Arpana's shoulders and supported her. He asked himself mentally that when there will be a full stop to the pain and hurdles they are going through in life. Nikhil glanced at Arjun and Arpana's direction and prepared himself to arrest Indrajith. But before Nikhil could Handcuff up Indrajith's hands, Arpana stopped him.

"Sir, don't!!" She said, shocking everyone.

"Arpana, we have to arrest him. He was behind your murder attempt. And he was indirectly a part of Anjali's death as well" Nikhil said feeling partially annoyed. Who would react this way?

"Arpana, I don't think you're in the right frame of mind. Come let's go home, let the officer do his duty" Arjun suggested. But Arpana protested, "Arjun, I am in the right frame of mind!! I am forgiving someone who's not even sorry. That's STRENGTH!! That's strength!! It's not me being weak..." Arpana said as she cried. Arjun hugged her tightly because he knew very well that Arpana needed the hug right now.

Arjun shot a death glare at Indrajith making him look down immediately. Indrajith couldn't bear to face neither Arjun nor Arpana. "You should bow down and worship this girl who called you dad genuinely till now. Even now she doesn't want you to be arrested even after realising how disgusting your actions were" Arjun scolded Indrajith. The guilt was killing Indrajith from the inside. In this moment, he regretted everything he did!!

"Arpana, you can forgive or do whatever but I can't forgive this man. NEVER WILL I BE ABLE TO FORGIVE HIM" Devi interfered as she came closer to Nikhil. She then said "I can't forgive him for trying to kill my sister after pretending to love her like his own daughter. For the agony my sister is going through after hearing all these revelations and for domestic violence! YES you heard it right!! He has been physically attacking my mother and I, ever since Arpana married Arjun out of frustration. We didn't know the reason till now but now we understand why this man has been acting like an idiot all this time. Sir I don't care whether he's my father or not. I want him behind the bars. I'm ready to give my statement against him" Devi screamed. Arpana couldn't believe what her little sister was saying. Not once has she mentioned domestic violence, even after Arpana questioned her about some marks on her body that she saw a few months back when Devi visited to take care of her after the accident. No matter what the world says, Devi was Arpana's little sister, their bond will remain the same and no one will be able to change that.

Arpana didn't say anything because after hearing what Devi had to say, Arpana thought that he actually deserves to go behind the bars.

While everyone was watching, Nikhil handcuffs Indrajith's hands and arrests Indrajith. As the sound of the police car faded, Lalitha approached Arpana with tears streaming down her eyes. She gently placed her hands on Arpana's and looked at her eyes. "You are always my daughter... I have never seen you less than my Devi" and cried her heart out. Arpana was devastated seeing her mother cry like this however, Arpana was not in the correct state of mind to calm her mother down and say it was all okay.

"I know" Arpana said and she ran out of the house, opened the car door, sat down and cried releasing all her emotions she was trying to suppress till now. Arjun glanced at his mother-in-law and sister-in-law helplessly and followed Arpana towards the car. He opened the door to his side and glanced at a fully broken Arpana. He decided to leave her alone till she composed herself and drove back home.

Due to crying, Arpana had fallen asleep. Therefore, she did not realise it when they reached home. Arjun looked at her direction and wiped away the remaining tears that were left. Arpana immediately opened her eyes. Arjun smiled a little and informed her that they had reached home. Arpana nodded and slowly got out of the car. She straightaway went to her room and locked it. Arjun was annoyed with how Arpana locked herself in her room but he was able to understand her feelings at this moment of time.

Soon time flew and it was night time, till now Arpana has not come out of her bedroom and didn't eat anything and it was starting to worry Arjun a lot.

'Shit! I should have checked up on her.

Hope she's okay. Are you daft Arjun? How can she be okay after all this!!

I wanted to leave her alone for some time. That's why I did not bother her.'

After mentally battling with his mind, Arjun went downstairs to the kitchen, filled the plate with some food and poured some water in a glass and went upstairs towards Arpana's room. Arjun had to knock quite a few times for Arpana to open the door.

They both looked at each other awkwardly. But Arjun's mind got distracted when he saw Arpana's state. She looked pale, like a lifeless body. Her eyes were puffy and red and her hair was messy. She still hadn't changed from the clothes she was wearing earlier.

"Arpana? What is this?" Arjun asked her. He couldn't bear seeing Arpana like this. This was the first time Arjun saw her, so much broken.
However, Arpana did not answer him. She took a few steps back and went and sat on her bed.

Arjun placed the plate and glass on the bedside table and went and sat next to her. He cupped her face using his rough palms and gently placed a kiss on it. Unfortunately, the little action of Arjun triggered Arpana, making her cry again. Arjun made her place her head on his chest and allowed her to cry. Soon after, Arjun started caressing Arpana's hair and said "Arpana, this should be the last time that I'm seeing you cry!!"

"Why is life so cruel to me Arjun? Why?" Arpana asked as she grabbed Arjun's collar. "I don't know, Arpana!! Honestly I don't know. The only thing I can say now is that somewhere it was destined for us to go through all of this. Hopefully this will be temporary. Happiness will soon come searching for us" Arjun said emotionally. Arpana wiped the lone tear that just passed by and went to the balcony and stared at the stars and the sky which looked as if it would rain any second.

Arjun followed her and stood beside his wife. After a brief pause, Arpana quietly said "everyone either betrayed me or used me for their own gain. I'm fed up with this. I just want to end my life... no one loves me. I have no one" Arpana said as she tightened the hold on the ends of her dupatta.

Arjun was fed up with this, so without thinking he said the truth "Who said you have no one Arpana. Who? You have me and I love you more than anyone in this world". Arpana immediately turned towards Arjun's direction and stared at him in shock.

She could not believe what she just heard...

Even though those words came out of Arjun's mouth accidentally, he did not regret it one bit. It may have not been the right time or circumstance but it was the truth and only that mattered.
Arpana did not know how to process this. She too loved Arjun deep inside her but she wasn't sure if she was ready to accept this fact in front of him...
Arpana stood speechless for a few seconds because she did not know how to react ...
Arpana's cold reaction made Arjun upset. He was no longer able to stand beside Arpana... so he turned around to leave.

However, without wasting time Arpana quickly caught Arjun's hands and stared at him. And slowly she said "it is easy for anyone to say they love you, I don't want a perfect man. All I want is someone I can trust and someone who won't be cheating on me physically or emotionally behind my back. I only want a man who will love me immensely and will never play games with my heart. And last but not the least I want a man who is willing to stay with me happily for the rest of my life. Can you be all this?" Arpana asked Arjun, all prepped to break down once again.

Arjun let go of Arpana's hands from his and stared into her eyes, increasing her heartbeat. "I am a human being with many flaws, however I promise to treat my lady in the way she deserves to be treated. I love you Arpana" Arjun said and kissed Arpana's forehead sending a shiver down Arpana's body.

"Arjun, after everything we went through, I'm finding it scary to find someone who loves me. Believe me you always tend to make me the happiest girl. Nowadays, I'm starting to give you all my attention because you're making me forget all the negatives in my life. Nowadays, you're the first person I want to see in the morning and the last one to see before I sleep just so I can start and end my day with a smile. When I'm talking about it now, it all sounds nice to have that someone but at the same time, it's making me scared Arjun. When I think about how easily you could leave and take that happiness away when you go. Promise me you will never leave me by myself. Because I don't know if I will survive another betrayal in life" Arpana said as she sobbed.

"I can totally understand your feelings, Arpana. Being cheated and betrayed is the worst feeling ever. However, today at this moment, I am welcoming you into my life to be my permanent lifeline and not temporary person. The foundation of this relationship will be trust and mutual respect and understanding. After what I went through in my previous relationship, trust is something I will need to work on. But I promise, I will never betray you or cheat on you. You will be my last in everything. I love you Arpana and I will try to be the best husband for you" Arjun said with determination.

"I love you" Arpana replied, making Arjun's heart dance in joy. He was the happiest man in the world. Somehow Arjun's assurance calmed Arpana's heart and she was now going to give love a second chance.
Arjun never wished to express his love like this to Arpana but if he did not confess now, he may never have the courage to confess ever again.
To seal the love they both have for each other, Arpana and Arjun hugged each other tightly. Suddenly a thunderstorm hit as if mother earth was happy for them as well. They both exchanged a smile as the thunderstorm hit and together they went inside to start a new beginning of their Life.
