Author’s POV.....

After spending the day roaming the city, both Arjun and Arpana returned to their room. Arpana picked her towel up and clothes to go and freshen up but just as she was going to enter the washroom, Arjun barged in and closed the door giving a cheeky grin. Arpana sighed in frustration. She went and sat on the bed, "you can go in now" Arjun announced as he came out of the washroom. Once they were both done, the question was how they would sleep because they did not have a couch in this room. There wasn't an extra bed either. Both of them were standing on either side of the bed displaying a confused expression. "You can take the bed, I'll take the floor" said Arjun. 

"It's extremely cold on the floor Arjun" She said worriedly.

"It is fine. I will just use the extra blanket" said Arjun and turned the lights off but no matter how many blankets he used, he was still shivering due to the cold air. Understanding he was feeling cold, Arpana turned the lights on and asked Arjun to take the bed "you can take one side, I will take the other" Arpana told him. He didn't want to sleep on the floor as it was very cold. Therefore, Arjun nodded and took up the other side of the bed. Arpana turned the lights off and turned around so her back was facing him. 

After sometime, Arpana woke up feeling very chilly. She barely had any blanket as Arjun was using it all up. Arpana tried to pull it but she couldn't pull it out of Arjun's strong grip. So she moved closer to him in search of warmth still maintaining an appropriate distance between them and eventually she dozed off after staying awake for a little bit. 

The next morning, Arpana woke up hearing the sound of the alarm. It was something she hated the most. Arpana opened her eyes and adjusted to the bright light shining through the window. She tried sitting up to turn the alarm off but she struggled as an arm tightened around her waist. Arpana looked down only to see Arjun leaning his head on Arpana's chest, holding her tightly around her belly. And top it all, their legs were tangled up making it impossible for her to get up. Arpana suddenly felt nervous thinking what would happen when Arjun woke up because the last time when this happened, he lost his control. 

As Arpana was deep in her thoughts, Arjun stirred lightly and pressed closer to Arpana's chest. Arpana then slowly untangled herself from him and stood up to quickly freshen up as it was Deepak’s wedding day. When she entered the washroom, she suddenly remembered what happened 5 years ago on this same day...

She didn't even get to see him properly that day to say a final goodbye...  

 Automatically, some tears started rolling down her eyes. Arpana briskly wiped the tears away from her eyes. 

She then woke Arjun up. Arjun lazily opened his eyes and rubbed it with his knuckles "what is it, Arpana?" 

"Get up Arjun. We need to be ready for Deepak's wedding today" she said drying her hair with the towel.

Arjun groaned in frustration and sat up on his bed and all of a sudden, reality hit him. It marks 5 years since Anjali has left him. Arjun slammed his fists on the bed but regretted it as Arpana stood next to him. He didn't want to ruin her mood as well so looked at her apologetically and rushed to the washroom. 

Arpana decided to change while Arjun was using the washroom. She picked the simple, red dress which was gifted to her by Neria yesterday; it was designed by the bride herself for her soon-to-be co sister (Arpana). 

Arpana changed into it hesitantly, she couldn't believe she was going to enjoy the day she lost the love of her life five years ago.

 But she controlled herself. She didn't want to ruin the day for anyone. Arpana looked at the mirror; she looked different in it...

To finish the look, Arpana curled the ends of her and applied some make up. Arjun came out of the washroom with red and puffy eyes as if he had just cried. His eyes instantly caught Arpana's. She was looking very pretty and graceful in that dress.

"This dress suits you. You should wear dresses often" Arjun complimented her. 

"Thank you" Arpana replied, trying to hide her blush. "Your suit is on the bed. Change into it quickly" Arpana said. 

"I can't change when someone is watching me," Arjun replied. 

"Oh err yes. I will wait outside" she said as she picked up her purse. 

Neria's cousin, who came out to fetch something, saw Arpana standing outside the room. They took her to Neria's room. Neria was looking stunning in her beautiful white gown. "You look so pretty" she complimented her. "Thank you so much, Arpana" Neria thanked Arpana and hugged her. "You’re looking gorgeous in this dress as well. I was right when I designed this" Neria complimented her soon to be co-sister. Arpana then killed time by helping Neria get ready. Over the last two days Neria and Arpana have bonded so much.

It was now time for the wedding ceremony at the beach.

Deepak's hands were getting clammy from nervousness as it was a new chapter in his life. At least a hundred butterflies would have settled in his stomach since morning. He was sweating as well. He was nervous, scared and excited, all at the same time. Arjun tried his best to comfort him. 

"Calm down Deepak" Arjun chanted. Deepak sighed heavily looking at the sea trying to calm down. The time was passing slowly. Eventually it was time for the wedding. Deepak walked down the aisle with his mother and father at his sides. Deepak's parents were extremely happy today. Finally their second born was going to get married as well to a beautiful girl just like their first daughter-in-law Arpana. 

Then Arjun and Arpana walked down the aisle looping their hands. As they walked down they heard the sound of people clapping just like how they did when Deepak walked down the aisle. Soon, Neria's parents followed and finally it was time for the bride to make her entry. The wedding music began playing in the background. Soon Neria made her entry with both her parents looking like an angel. Deepak's eyes had started watering by this time. The moment he had dreamt of pretty much all his life, was actually happening now. Neria too stared at Deepak without breaking her gaze. 

Finally they reached in front of the altar, the parents kissed her forehead and gave her hand to Deepak and then they sat at their designated seats. "You look out of this world" Deepak complimented her for which Neria smiled at him. As the wedding ceremony progressed, Arjun's hands crept up to hold Arpana's hands. Holding their hands together, they watched the ceremony. 

It was now time for the vows. 

Both of them said their vows holding the holy bible 

“I...Deepak....Take you Neria, to be my wife, to have and to hold, from this forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us apart, according to God's holy law” He repeated after the Father and Put the wedding ring on her finger without taking his eyes off of her.

“I.... Neria...Take you Deepak, to be my husband, to have and to hold, from this forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us apart, according to God's holy law” she repeated after the Father and Put the wedding ring on his finger, her eyes glistening with happy tears.

“And this is my solemn Vow” they both repeated together.

“You may now kiss the bride” The Father said to the happy couple who obliged happily.

They both shared a kiss with each sealing their eternity with love in front of their loved ones and everyone clapped in joy.

As the vows were being said, Arpana's eyes had brimmed with tears. She reflected on how holy marriage is....

Noticing the tears were escaping Arpana's eyes like a river, Arjun held her closer and wrapped his hands around her arms. “Everything's gonna be alright" he muttered in her ears and rubbed her shoulders. Arpana smiled hopefully and focused on what was happening in front of her. 

Soon when the ceremony came to an end, everyone joined the couples to click pictures. Even Arpana and Arjun joined. 

Soon Arpana joined the rest and Arjun observed Arpana in the crowd. The way she blinked her eyes from time to time made his heart beat faster. Like it happened in a slow motion. He couldn't help but smile, looking at his wife smiling at the people around her. She has definitely made this day much better for him....
