Chapter 3
A/N I am sorry for the typos in the last chapter. I was half asleep when I was writing it. And sorry if it was bad.
Mr.Richardson was the best teacher Eliza had ever met. Well, after he introduced her to the whole class.
"Class, this is a new student named Eliza. She moved here from a small town. Please welcome her kindly." After that, she hurried to sit in the desk next to Casey.
"Hey, Casey. What's the new girl doing sitting by you?" Whispered the boy sitting behind Casey. He was one of the kids with a weird accent and strange clothes. "She's my friend," he snapped back quietly. "Oh. She's kind of cute, isn't she?"
"Mr. Qualch. Stop talking during class!" Mr.Richardson scolded. "I'll talk to you later at a better time," Casey hissed at the boy. He glanced at Eliza quickly and then looked to the front of the room. She realized she was blushing and looked away from him, too.
It turned out, homeroom was useless. There was no point to it. All it is for is for announcements, the pledge of allegiance and attendance. For the students, it was for embarrassing new people, or that's what it seemed for to Eliza. The kids kept whispering about her and either Casey didn't care, or he ignored it like Eliza was trying to do.
Right when the bell rang for the end of homeroom, she fast walked out of the room, to her locker. She grabbed her stuff for math and walked there quickly. Or so she thought.
She didn't know where it was and she couldn't ask Casey for help because he was at his class already. She thought she should hust keep walking but then she decided to go back to her locker. The bell rang and she was mad that she didn't get to it on time. When she got to her locker, she realozed someone was lean in against the locker next to hers. It was Casey.
"Why aren't you in class?" Eliza asked softly. "I was waiting for you, my friend." Answered Casey. "I knew you need my help finding your next class, so I thought I would wait. So, what is it?"
"Math."
"Ah. I see. Since that is your first real class, that must mean you at in advanced math. Am I right?" She shook her head yes. "Well, I am too. It's so funny that I am in your classes so far. Should we go now?" She shook her head yes again and Casey heals out his hand. With a deep breath, Eliza took it.
It turns out, she was going in the right direction, and when she got to the class with Casey, she recognized the door. She had passed it when she was wondering through the halls. "Well. We're here. Should we go in?" They did. Eliza found out that Casey was smart. Smarter than her, and she was the smartest kid at her old school. He answered most of the questions before she could solve them, and when they worked on homework, everyone wanted his help.
Eliza want to try and help them, but they just glared at her. She decided to try to be in the shadows for everyone except Casey.
The rest of the day went fast, especially when Eliza learned that Casey was in all of her classes. They sat by each other at lunch with some of Casey's friends. Near the end, they wanted to go outside, but Eliza didn't. So Casey went with his friends, leaving her alone. All she did was think. And when they came in, his friends woyldn't stop looking st her. Did she do something? She didn't know.
When she got home, she had to rush to the bus and get her brother and sister. But when she got there, her sister wasn't on the bus. Where was she?
