Fifteen - Love is all You Need

Love is all You Need

"Give me your phone," Yash told her, holding his hand out.

Without asking him anything, she placed her phone in his hand. He opened her phone and removed the battery.

"They won't be able to reach you now," he explained, sliding the back on the phone again.

Ishita smiled at him. They were sitting on his couch, Ishita still in her bridal wear. The dupatta of her lengha had fallen from her hair and rested on her shoulders. Yash lightly brushed the skin of her shoulder as he adjusted it, letting it fall on one shoulder.

She looked at him, desire evident on her face. "I'm so lucky to have you Yash," she whispered, cupping his cheeks with her hands.

"No," he replied, removing one hand from his cheek and squeezing it tightly. "Why are you separating yourself from me Ishita? There's no you or me in this relationship, there's only us."

Bringing her hand to his lips, he kissed it lightly. Ishita let the hand that was still on his face drop to his shoulder. She moved closer to him, bringing her other hand up to his shoulder. Yash could feel his breathing quicken as she approached.

He had wanted this for years and when it was finally coming, he didn't know how to react. He closed his eyes, his heart beating as fast as it had when Ishita told him she loved him. He could feel her shaking nervously as she brought her soft lips to his.

The kiss was short, but it told a story to him. It told him that Princess Ishita had reunited with her Prince and she was not willing to let him go at any cost.

He kissed her forehead and let her relax her head on his shoulder.

"They probably know I ran away by now," Ishita whispered.

"Don't think about them. We're in a different world," he consoled her, stroking her hair.

She removed her head from his shoulder and looked him in the eyes, her eyes holding only trust and admiration for him... the same could be reflected in his own eyes.

He lowered his lips to hers once again. She pulled back, her eyes filled with tears, as if she could not believe that all of this was happening right now.

"I wanted to kiss you for a long time," she confessed.

Yash chuckled, stroking her cheek with his thumb. "I know... you told me you wanted to kiss me more that night."

He was referring to the night that Ishita had fallen asleep in his arms, drunk.

He watched her blush and look away, but Yash turned her face around again.

"Oh come on Ishita," he teased, "It isn't anything new. Girls would die to kiss me."

He watched as her mouth dropped open with annoyance. "Fine! You can kiss them then since you seem to think about them," she told him, shifting her body away from his on the couch.

He moved right beside her and wrapped his arm around her, a big smile on his face. He dropped his lips to her ear, his nose nuzzling her hair. "I would die to kiss one girl and one girl only though," he whispered into her ear.

He could feel her body tense up. He loved having this effect on her.

She turned her face slowly, her parted lips only an inch away from his. He closed the gap between their lips and pushed her back on the couch. Her arms circled his neck immediately, her lips responding to his with equal enthusiasm.

Once they pulled apart to breathe, he held her tightly against him, inhaling her scent, in another world completely.

He had his life in his arms tonight, and he wouldn't let it go at any cost. He loved his life's happiness too much to let it die again.
