I couldn't believe my eyes, Rose was sitting by a tree crying." What should we do?" Marisa asked me in a nervous voice and to be honest I had no idea what we should do, part of me wanted to make a break for it hoping she wouldn't notice but curiosity got the best of me." Rose!" I yell.

Rose turn around to Face me." Anna? Marisa? What are you too doing here?" Asked Rose sounding surprised." You shouldn't be the ones questioning us, after all it was you who killed Kris!" I retort sounding angrier by the second.

" What? Are you insane ?! Why would I want to murder my own brother?" Asked Rose sounding hurt ." Because you were jealous of all the attention he was getting from your parents. Your whole life it's been all about Kris and you just couldn't take it anymore!" I said walking up to her so we were face to face.

" What? I didn't kill Kris! Yes I was jealous but I would never kill my own brother! I know how bad this looks but I swear I would never murder Kris. This is all just some huge misunderstanding!" Explained Rose looking back and forth between Marisa and I as if silently pleading with us to believe her.

" Well if you didn't Kill him then who did?" I asked. " That would be me." A voice chimes in from behind Us, we all spin around to be met face to face with Rose's Mom.

" Mom? What do you mean it's you? What are you doing here?!" Asked Rose sounding shocked. " Well why don't I start from the beginning. Rose do you remember about two years ago we had new neighbours move in but they left a year later?"

Rose looked scared " yeah." " Well the truth is I was having an affair with the next door neighbour and Kris found out. He threatened to tell your father. But being the naive person he was I convinced him not to tell. That was about the same year our neighbours moved out. I told our neighbour his name was Tom that you weren't going to tell anyone but he wasn't quite convinced. So he made up some silly exude to move and he and his family left town forever. I was the only one who new the truth about why he left." Explains Roses mom.

I was really shocked by what I was hearing. I never would have guessed it would be her. I felt really bad I hadn't believed Rose when she told us she wasn't the killer. She was telling the truth.

" So anyway" Rose's mom continues. "About a week ago Kris finally realized he had to tell your father about what happened between our neighbour and I. I begged him not to tell but he was going to do it and I couldn't let that happen. So I told him to meet me in the woods behind the school to discuss something, he agreed so he ditched school that day to come and talk to me. That's when he ran into you Marisa."

The look Marisa had in her eyes showed that she finally understood what went down that night." He told me he didn't want to see me anymore. He wanted to see someone else. I can't believe I didn't see this before. The girl he liked was you Anna."  Said Marisa looking at me with a soft smile." Me?" I said not really believing her I mean he had just met me." Yes it was you! Don't you see? That's why he didn't want to be with me because he loved someone else. He loved you Anna."

" Moving on now.Kris and I met up in the woods he told me no matter what I said he was going to tell dad no matter what. I was desperate so I took the cigarette lighter I had in my purse, lit it and threw it. Right at Kris. I killed Kris and now I'm going to kill you." Said Rose's mom as she pulled a gun out of her coat pocket and pointed it at us. We all ducked screaming." What are you doing!" Yelled  Marisa in fear." What does it look like I'm doing?" Asked Rose's mom sounding obvious." Guys run!" Rose yells as we all started bolting in the other direction.

But it was too late we heard the gunshot fire as the bullet flew and plunged straight through my heart.
