Hello, readers! I am PurehearttheNeko! If you don't know me, I'm the writer of "Spite Without Shame", "Searching Without Shame", and this story's prequel, "We'll Be Counting Stars"! I felt the need to put an actual Author's Note here instead of putting one in the media or hogging up the chapters' word counts.

First off, I would like to thank all of you for opening "When I See You Again"! Most people probably won't read this until a few days after it is published, since I decided to publish this the same day Pokemon Sun and Moon were released. I myself will be avoiding the media until I complete Pokemon Moon so I can avoid spoilers, so to the very few people who are reading this, that means I won't be too quick to respond to comments and such for a few days.

If you are reading this, that means I decided to finally publish my idea of "We'll Be Counting Stars" sequel. This author's note was written about two months after "We'll Be Counting Stars" publication and entry into the Pokemon Watty Awards.

This story, or sequel, was inspired by "See You Again", a song written and performed by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. It is a song that is from the Fast and Furious 7 (I don't know what the real title is, it's different every time I check =~=) soundtrack, and was dedicated to actor Paul Walker, who was killed in a terrible accident. I first heard this song in a mashup, and out of interest, I listened to the entire song.

This song was very moving and emotional. I had only been moved like this by one other song: OneRepublic's Counting Stars, which had also inspired me into writing my Pokemon Short Story "We'll Be Counting Stars".

"See You Again" motivated me into writing a continuation of the tale of performer Stella Knight and guitarist Astro Gomez. One of my friends described the first story as a smooth flowing book and once was compared to a stream. After writing this, I can tell you that it won't be the same.

So far I've decided that the story won't be entered in the Pokemon Watty Awards, but my decision may change when this is published. You don't necessarily have to read "We'll Be Counting Stars" to read this book, but it is recommended. Without further ado, I leave you.
