He is there everyday.

Always riding his midnight black horse out of the village. Never revealing his face under the dark, forest green cloak he apparently never takes off according to children here. They always say he has a giant scar across his face for reasons we do not know, and he hates to show it.

The weird thing is, he never gets in trouble by other knights. Whenever the others see him, the just act like he is not there and move on with their day.

 I can never get him off my mind, I just want to exit the village and go find more about him.

"Here you are Hinata, you're patrol today. Very strange..." Asahi walks out with a small scroll and places it in a small bag on my horses saddle, " Oh! King Daichi told me to send you to the dining hall at the castle before you start patrol!" Asahi smiles to himself, proud that he had remembered.

"Alright! Thank you!" I kiss at my brown horse and start heading to the castle at a trot. The village is the most social in the empire. The Karasuno kingdom is one of many, but it is definitely not forgettable. We have the best trade in all of the empire, and our king is very stern but sweet.

The village is very open to everyone, but they are careful who they take in for the night. There is no hate in this village either, everyone gets along. If there is a small conflict, that's where the council comes in and gets it all smoothed out again.

"Oh, Hi Hinata!" Yachi grins from ear to ear as she holds the end of the leather reins on my horse.

"Lady Yachi! Are you alright? I spaced out.." I say in suprise, I must have almost ran into her while I was thinking.

"I'm okay! I'm guessing you're here to see the king?" She says in an almost serious tone, Yachi can't be serious until it means life or death. I hope off my horse swiftly and laugh a bit,

"Yeah! Usually I never get to speak with the king, I'm a bit nervous because I may be in trouble." I almost shiver at the thought of getting yelled at by King Daichi, It must be terrifying.

"As one of his helpers, I can only tell you you're not getting yelled at. You may actually find it interesting." As she's talking, she leads my horse into a stable and takes off the saddle.

"Oh yeah? How so?"

"I can't tell you, silly!" Yachi laughs and rolls her eyes, putting the saddle on a platform.

Yachi and I are best friends. When we were little, we always used to climb trees and act like Robin Hood. Our dream job was to be a knight. Hopefully Yachi will be one soon, she would be an amazing knight with her intelligence.

"Sir Hinata. The king wishes to see you if you haven't already heard." Ennoshita jogs in, out of breath. Yachi scrambles over to a table and hands Ennoshita a cup full of well water. He nods his head in thanks and drinks it all.

"Asahi told me after I got my job for the day, I will be there soon." I bow as Ennoshita runs back to his job for the day.

"Well, sounds like it's urgent. Better get going Hinata!" Yachi steps away from my horse and gestures towards the stone castle.

"Thanks for everything Yachi!" I wave as I run off to the palace. I'm nervous and excited, I get to see the kings of Karasuno, but I don't know why.

After a short amount of time, I am standing at the palace gate waiting for the approval to come inside. The giant gate comes to reveal King Sugawara, Daichi's husband. He is smiling and gesturing me to come in.

"Good Morning!" I say, jogging towards Sugawara and bowing. He gestures me to stand up again and smiles even more.

"Wonderful Morning! Do come in!" We both start walking inside, The outdoors soon become walls made of wood, lined in silver and gold, "I hope you aren't very hungry, we didn't schedule a meal... But if you are we can have our cooks make something!"

Trying to be enthusiastic, he looks at me then down at the ground.

It's awkward when you have known one of the kings all your life and you have to call them a different name.

Suga must feel bad that he doesn't have a meal prepared. In all honesty, I  am not that hungry, which means I can give the cooks a break.

"Well, here we are! Just through those two doors. I have to go and check up on some people, I will see you later!" We both bow to eachother, and Suga runs off.

I take a deep breath, ruffling my hair to make it presentable enough for a king. I put my hand on the knob and open the door.

A small wave of cold air comes to my face, making all the sweat disappear somehow.

"Ah, Sir Hinata. Do sit down." A deep voice booms through the dining hall, King Daichi stands up and gestures towards a seat taller than me.

I look around while walking towards the seat and notice someone directly across from me.

No. It couldn't be...

The man had a dark green cloak, covering his face.

"Hinata, I would like you to meet Tobio Kageyama. An old friend of mine."

Im back at it again!

I have been planning this fanfic for a while and I'm super excited to write it!
