“You want me to lie to Angie?”

After what just happened I can never look at her in the eyes. I feel like I’m betraying her but I can’t resist this.

“It’s the only way.”

“What if she finds out about this before it’s time to tell her ? She will never forgive me.”

“We have to do this. We have no other way but to hide and hope we don’t get caught.”

“And what about J.D?”

“You can’t tell him either. This thing will stay between us.”

“Okay.” I sighed in defeat. “I’ll keep this as a secret.”

I just hope Angie and J.D will forgive me for doing this to them.

I sat in class listening to the teacher and taking notes when the door open. Steven got in and sat on the first bench not breaking single eye contact with me. So he is back in school too. Just my luck.

I looked down at my notebook trying not to look in that direction again.

I played with my pencil. Just resist it. He probably looked at you because he knows you. Nothing else. He is probably not looking anymore.

I raised my look slowly at him and starred at his back. Oh thanks god. I guess I was right. Just a coincidence. And then he turned again and looked straight into my eyes.

I turned away my look and started writing something on my notebook. I was feeling really nervous and the moment I heard the bell ring I got my stuff and fly away from the classroom. I ran to my locker and once I was out of sight I calmed down and my heart was back in its place. That was so weird. I closed the locker and I jumped a step backwards. Steven was there.

“Hey.” He smiled widely.

“Hi.” I said with a trembling voice.

“You okay?”

“Yap.” I tried to get my breath. “Just in a hurry.”

With that I walked passed him and started walking faster. He caught up with me.

“So what’s your next class?”

Crap.

“English.”

“What a coincidence, me too.”

“Great.” I smiled as politely as I could and continued walking.

“How’s J.D doing?”

“Great, we are dating.” I tried to put that in his head.

“So I’ve heard.” He smiled and grabbed my hand gently pulling me towards him.

“Look, I know that J.D told you everything. But don’t worry. I don’t feel the same way now.”

I smiled again. “Aha. Okay. If you say so.” I pulled my hand out.

“Are you scared of me?”
He asked smirking politely.

“Me? No. Why? Should I be?”

“No.” He grinned.

“Great then. Goodbye now.” I grinned back and made sure to go fast as I could not turning back.

I made it to the other classroom and made sure I had kids sitting next to me from all the sides.

At lunch brake I made my way to the cafeteria. Everyone was sitting there including Johnny. Oh man. I walked and sat next to J.D. He kissed my cheek and put my hair from my neck to my back. I relaxed and grabbed his hand.

Everyone made small talk but Johnny and me were quiet. I just couldn’t talk in front of him. I just couldn’t dare to say anything because every word was a step closer to revealing everything.

“Baby you’re too quiet.” Angie kissed Johnny and smiled at him.

“Yeah..I..am…I didn’t get enough sleep last night. Played video games.”

“I told you they are bad for you.” She leaned her head on his shoulder. Johnny sent me a look and then turned away.

“You too Julie.” J.D smiled at me. “You are pretty quiet too.”
”Oh I …well you see…I saw Steven.” Oh, a good one.

“So he is back in school?”

“Yeah. I saw him too today. And there he is now.” Chris pointed with his head. We all looked at Steven as he sat on a table with two other guys that were in the football team with him.

He turned towards us and waved. I am specifically sure he waved at me but I kept quiet.

“Hey let’s take a walk.” I suggested to J.D and we both stood up leaving the cafeteria making me very happy.

“Julie…”

“Oh no not Julie.” I sighed because I knew something was wrong.

“What are you hiding from me?”

J.D was looking at me sincerely.

“What do you mean?”

“Come on. Just admit it.”

I gulped. He can’t know. How could he know about mine and Johnny’s secret.

“You are scared of Steven aren’t you?”

I breathed out. It wasn’t that. But it was still another thing I didn’t want him to know.

“It’s just that…”

“He freaks you out?”

“Yes. I mean no. I mean yeah..” I put my hands on my head massaging my temples.

“I have such a headache.”

J.D put me on a bench outside and walked behind me slowly massaging my temples.

“You are to tense my love.”

“Yes, I know.” I said quietly closing my eyes and enjoying the massage.

“And you should relax more.”

“I..know..”

He brought his lips to my ear whispering slowly.

“Do you know what is the best way to relax?”

“What?” I whispered back opening my eyes slowly and turning back to look at him. His lips were so close. And so kissable. If I could just go little closer..

“Telling me things that stress you out and not keeping them a secret.” He smiled and stood up putting his hands on my shoulders. Damn it. I hate it when he teases me.

He was right.

“You are mad I don’t tell you things but some things I can’t tell you.”

“I want you to tell me everything. Trust is everything to me.” His thumbs worked so well on my back.

“But I can’t.”

“Tell me the reason why you think Steven isn’t changed.”

“It’s not that I don’t want to I just can’t explain it.”

“Try me.”

He sat next to me.

“I..I can’t.”

“Then I guess you can’t kiss me anymore.”

“What?” I looked at him worried.

“Oh yes, you heard what.” He came closer and his lips were inches away.

“I won’t kiss you until you tell me.”

I leaned but he pulled away smirking.

“Nice try.”

“J.D.” I whined.

“No…” He pulled me off the bench and put an arm around me.

“Let’s see how long you last.”

“You think I can’t resist kissing you.” I raised a brow now insulted.

“I bet you can.”

“Okay bet is on. Let’s see who will be the loser.”

“Fine.”

“Fine.”

“Fine.”

“Fineeee.”I finished glaring into his eyes and smirking,

“I can’t wait for you not to win.”

“Keep on waiting then.” He winked and we both walked back to the inside of the school/

It has been three days. Three long days and I have been a brave soldier. Me and J.D haven’t kissed until the bet and once I told Angie she said I will lose definitely. It made me even more determent to win this bet. So here I am in the school hallways leaned on my locker.

 “Julie..Julie.” I turned to see J.D heading towards me.

“J.D?” I looked at him.

“I’m so sorry I thought you can’t resist kissing me. I guess I was the one to lose. Please let me kiss you babe.”

“J.D..I’m so glad you admit it.”

“Yes Julie. You are the best thing that happened in my life. Now can I kiss you?”

“Yes.” He pushed me on the lockers and kissed me. Everyone started clapping me for my win.

“Oh Julie.” He said.

“Julie!!!” I blinked twice to see Angie talking to me.

“Didn’t you hear a word I say?”

”About what?”

I looked around but there was no one clapping and I wasn’t kissing J.D. Oh dear god. I’m starting to hallucinate.

“I said Johnny is acting really weird. I think something is wrong. Do you think he doesn’t love me any more?”

My heart stopped in an instant.

“Nonsense. He loves you. I’m sure he does.”

“I think he is cheating on me.”

I panicked. “Don’t jump to conclusions. There is nothing wrong with your relationship. But you should still keep an eye on him”

“I’m sure your right. I’m just panicking as always. Thanks Julie. You are such a good friend.” She kissed my cheek and walked away.

I’m doomed.

I need some air.

I walked out of the school and tried to look for J.D. Just because I didn’t kiss him doesn’t mean I don’t want to see him and I don’t need him.

Suddenly I was pulled aside in a corner.

“What do you want? We can’t risk being seen together.”

I fussed when I saw Johnny.

“I had to see you.”

“No, you could have just called me.”

“I can’t risk anyone seeing your number.”

“We coudld get caught and everyone could find out about our little..thing.”

“I know but I just…I don’t think I can lie to Angie anymore. It’s harder then I thought it would be.”

“I know. It’s the same thing with J.D. Just….this is for their own good. Like you said.”

“Okay. Thanks for the talk.” He smiled and hugged me whispering something in my ear.

After we split up I quit searching for J.D. I started walking looking down when I hit somebody.

“Hello.”

I raised my look to see Steven

“You look bad. Are you okay?”

“Yeah.” I smiled coldly because I really wanted to get away from everyone. Especially him.

“You don’t seem okay.”

“Just leave me alone, alright?” I pushed him away but he pulled me back.

“I don’t want you to run away from me. Tell me how to make you trust me.”

“For starters just give me a break because I’m not in the mood to talk and stop acting like everything is alright because it’s not.” I yelled out of control.

“Okay. I’m sorry.”

He sighed. “I know I shouldn’t be forgiven and I know you try and it’s hard. But thank you.”

I sighed. I am never this cruel. He started speaking again.

“I’m so sorry. Look. How about we just go and talk somewhere after school.”

“I can deal with that.” I sighed and went back in. This day is making me sick.

“Hey beautiful.” J.D showed and made me smile instantly. My good mood was back after few classes.

“Hey handsome.” I walked with him to my locker and put the books aside. School was over and the hall was clearing.

“So did you missed me today?”

“Yes. Very much.”

“Enough to die to kiss me?”

“What J.D can’t you keep up?”

I smirked at him and played with his shirt.

“Is it to hard to resist me?” I played with him.

“Oh sugar…I think it’s the other way around.”

“Now what would make you think that?” I pulled his shirt and his body was glued to mine. He breathed in hard.

“Do you have something to say? Like please kiss me Julie.”

I whispered over his lips. And just when I thought he would give it in he smirked.

“It’s not going to be that easy sugar. I’ve played this kind of games so many times. I am a pro.”

“Oh really. Prove it.”

“Well first you have to set the mood. Silence could be useful.”

I noticed there was no one in the hall but us.

“And then you know the exact little gestures to do.” He starred into my eyes and then he lowered them to my lips and licked his slowly. Then he slowly put one lock of my hair behind my ear exposing my neck. I tried to keep up with the normal breathing but it was hard.

“Then you have to be gentle…” He went with his thumb over my mouth.

“But sometimes rough.” In a speed loud move he had his hands on both side of my head and I was trapped underneath him making me jump a little.

“And then you have to come really close…” He leaned over my face and brushed his lips of mine.

“Come on sugar. Say it. Say you want me to kiss you.” I wanted to say something but I couldn’t get my looks off his lips. Just a little millimetre more…

“I….”

“You…”

“Julie.” A loud yelling interrupted us. I turned around and looked at Steven. Oh right. I was supposed to meet him after school.

“We are going or not?” He asked.

“Where are you going?” J.D asked confused.

“I need Steven to talk to me and convince me to trust him so I said what the heck.” I said so only J.D could hear.

“I don’t want you alone with him.”

“It’s fine. I will make sure we are in public all of the time.”

“Julie.”

“I said it’s fine.” I looked at him and kissed his cheek.

“Nice going by the way. You almost had me.” I giggled and left him smiling.

I convinced Steven to come in the coffee shop with me so I made sure it was crowded enough for people to see me.

“So…” I started. “You wanted to talk.”

He ran his fingers though his hair and looked at me.

“Yeah well…I don’t know where to start from.”

“I suggest the begging.”

“I don’t know where there is.”

I looked at him and waited for him to start.

“Okay. I guess J.D told you his side of the story so let me tell you mine in couple of words. I liked you, hell I loved you and he kept on pushing me aside so I kind of lost confidence to come and tell you anything. Then Craw decided J.D it’s so much better then me in everything and I was left aside. The moment J.D started blabbing about leaving I had enough. We always did what he wanted to do and I lost it. We had a fight and after I found out he had “something” with you I was pissed off and wanted revenge.”

“Is that’s why you attacked me that day at the lockers?”

“Yeah. I guess I was out of line there. And then Craw told me to convince J.D to come back and you will be mad at him and I will be there to comfort you so..”

I was pissed off.

“And what about Jake.”

“I couldn’t do it my self. I needed to know what was happening and I needed a man on the inside so I blackmailed Jake.”

“And you thought you can have me just like that?”

“I admit I am not that smart but I liked the easy way that was promised.”

He stated and looked me in the eyes. “I’m sorry Julie. I really am.”

I could see that he was sorry. He looked so sincere I believe him. I actually believed him.

“So what now?”

“I just want to fix things. That’s all I want. And if I can’t be anything more to you then just a friend. Please.”

I bit my lip. What should I do?

“I think…..we can try to be friends.”

He smiled.

“But I’m not promising anything.”

“Okay.” He looked really happy.

“Now I have to go home but see you in school.” I pulled out the money but he stopped me. “I’ll pay.”

“You don’t need to..”

“I want to.”

“Okay.” I smiled at him. “See you.”

“Bye.”

I walked home and once I was close enough I was cut of by someone.

“Okay what’s going on?”

I turned around to see angry Jake starring at me.

“What do you mean?”

“Don’t play with me..”

“Look if it’s about Steven…:”

“I saw you and Johnny talking alone and then you two hugged. Is there anything between you two?”

He asked coming closer.

“No of course not.”

“Don’t lie to me Jules..”

“I’m not…I swear..i’m not”

“You don’t seem sure…”

“Jake please don’t ask me…”

He starred into my eyes making me crack. I guess I will have to turn to him for an advice and a punishment.

(J.D’s p.o.v)

I keep on having a feeling I am forgetting something. I guess I have so much on my mind I can’t focus on anything. I walked in school and saw Julie and Angie talking. I crept behind Julie and put my hands on her eyes.

“Guess who?” I whispered in her ear.

“God?” She giggled and I put my hands down to her waist hugging her from behind kissing her neck.

“J.D…”

“What?”

I asked when I saw her blushing.

“Am I bothering you love birds?” Angie teased us.

“No. But you can join.” I winked.

“Ugh you boys are so grouse.” She made a face and Julie elbowed me in the stomach.

“So how about me and you after school go on a little date..”

“I’m sorry…I have this thing…With my mom.” Juloe looked worried and her voice sounded weird.

“Can't you cancel??”

“I can’t sorry.”

“Okay.” I pulled away when I saw she was no longer in the mood.

“I have to go..see you..”

She walked away just like that. There is something wrong with her these days and I’m going to find out what.

Johnny came and kissed Angie then he greeted me.

“So babe how about we go for some coffee after school?” She asked him.

“Sorry..I can.’t I have this thing with my….dad..”

“But you promised..”

“Sorry.” He acted really coldly and I was confused. I noticed he never made eye contact with me. After he was gone I turned towards Angie.

“I guess we were both dumped for the day.”

“J.D I know there is some bro code in existence but I need to ask you something.”

“Okay.” I came closer.

“Do you think or know if Johnny is cheating on me?”

“I don’t think so..why do you think that…”

“Because he’s been distant lately and he’s acting really cold. He’s almost busy everyday after school.”

“So is Julie but I don’t think she is cheating on me. Even though she’s been distant too lately. But I think it’s because of Steven.”

“Would you tell me if you find out?” She begged.

“I wouldn’t. But I would make Johnny tell you.”

“Okay.” She smiled politely and walked away.

What a strange conversation. Julie…cheating on me.. never going to happen.

After classes I went to find Julie at her locker but she wasn’t there. I saw Jake and called him.

“Hey, have you seen Julie?”

“Or Johnny?” Angie yelled from the back and came closer. “He’s been avoiding me and my calls.

“Ugh…” Jake scratched his head. “I think I just saw them together.”

“Where?” Me and Angie both asked.

“I don’t know. I just know they met after school and she got into his car. But it’s not the first time I see them together. What was with the hug before?”

“What hug?” I asked worried.

“Well they were talking and it looked serious…and then he leaned closer and they hugged. It was a really long hug. Is something wrong?”

Me and Angie panicked. I could see it in her eyes. They were already wet.

“When did you saw them?”

“About five minutes go on the parking.”

“Come on Angie.” I pulled her hand and ran towards the parking. We got in the car and i drove towards the street when I saw Johnny’s car turning left. I followed them until we reached the destination they stopped. I parked a little further and we observed. They both came out  and they walked in the building smiling.

“I can’t believe this is happening. Tell me what I saw it’s wrong.”

Angie burst crying.

“Come on. This isn’t over.”

Mad we walked out of the car and followed them.

Okay who is confused?? I know i am ;)

It's a crappy chapter i know but i just had to do it. I always wanted a big mistery in my story and i just wanted to try  and write it.. What do you think the secret is? Is Julie cheeting on J.D? Can she really do that? Am i that evil to ruin a love story....Muahahahahah ;)
