Chapter 1: The Sea-Born
Klyamone stood at the surface, a pillar of water supporting her. Her flowing brown hair was whipped by the wind, and her eyes fixed their gaze upon the island ahead.
Her silvery dress shone like silver netting. Being a goddess, her features were graceful, peaceful, beautiful. The perks of being a goddess.
"Land," she whispered. "Why don't you let me go there, Father?"
A hand appeared on her shoulder, startling her. "It's not safe, Klyamone," said the god of the sea. "You know about the feud."
"But Father," she replied. "You know that I am a grown goddess. And you know that you did it too."
Ymion, the sea god, had indeed went to the land. But all that had filled him since then was regret, as the goddess he had fallen for was a betrayer. "I know, Klyamone. But I got no benefits from the union except you."
Being the goddess of islands meant that she was born of two elements, Water and Earth. But her father was telling her that they hardly mixed, even though they don't seem to harm each other. Truth was, all elements were turned against each other, each only allying with the neutral gods.
"Come now. We need to go back," said Ymion. He descended into the deep blue.
A sigh escaped her mouth, along with another longing look at the land. With that, she descended into the waves.

Waverin Palace was grand, with its pearly walls and golden accents. Pillars supported each of its 30 floors. Around the palace, spires jutted out from the ground, with windows carved into them.
Sirens swam in and out of each window, and schools of fish passed them with an air of reverene.
They entered the palace, and Ymion sat in one of the twelve thrones. Twelve thrones, twelve main Water Elemental gods.
Klyamone went to one of the palace's towers. A library of writing tablets awaited her. She floated up to one of the shelves, then took out a stone tablet. Its inscriptions can be read by her just fine. Though mortals could not interpret it, gods and sirens could.
The inscriptions morphed into a carving of the land. With floral motifs, animal carvings, and the works of man, Klyamone was interested, engrossed.
If she could stay in there forever, she probably could. Staring at the land from the safe distance of the ocean and seeing them in stone tablets was the closest she'd ever get to seeing the land.
Her mind was filled with the green images of Terra's rolling hills and rocky mountains.
