They arrive at the tourist inn after a two-hour trip. The mountainside looks enchanting and the fresh air feels nostalgic. Taehyung is totally absorbed in its beauty.

“Waa!! Finally! I’ve been waiting to come here!”

He instantly lays on the ground, his back flat on the fallen leaves. Taehyung spreads out his limbs like a scarecrow, brushing his arms and legs on the ground, making an angel outline. It’s funny because you don’t do this on fall. It’s usually done in winter, with all the snow around. But this time, there are only leaves under him.

“That looks painful,” she comments as she stands beside Jeonghan a few meters away from him. “This guy’s really an idiot.”

“Just let him do what he wants. He doesn’t bother you,” Jeonghan replies.

“He does because he’s with us! Agh… I can’t take the sight of him. If anyone asks, I don’t know that guy,” she retorts and walks away.

“Come on, Seunghee-ya. Give the guy a break,” he talks her into it, following behind. “Come on Tae!”

But Taehyung continues to lay there looking at the sky. He doesn’t really care what they think, as long as he’s having fun. He’s smiles to himself.

Upon arriving at the inn, he quickly puts his things down and runs to the balcony of the room they got. There’s only the three of them so Seunghee decided to stay with them. Jeonghan is with her so she thinks there’s no problem with it. And besides, she’s also refraining from being with him alone. She still hasn’t gotten over what happened a few weeks ago, she needs some time to think whether to finally give it to him or not the next time they engage in that kind of thing.

“This is awesome!!!” Tae scream his lung out at the terrace.

Jeonghan just laughs at him while Seunghee is shaking her head. She can’t really believe there’s someone as rare as him.

“Han-ya!! Let’s go up there!” pointing at the mountains, which is approximately a kilometer away.

“No, I can’t probably reach that far…” Jeonghan declines.

“I’ll carry you if you can’t walk anymore!” he replies.

Seunghee just smirks at what he said. He is really impossible.

“Who’s gonna carry Seunghee then?” Jeonghan puns, making Seunghee hit his arm.

“Then I’ll carry both of you!” he says this as if he’s real serious about it.

Seunghee just shakes her head and utters, “As if that’s even possible. Ah, my head’s gonna turn dull listening to you.”

Jeonghan just chuckles a bit, “It’s refreshing once in a while.”

“What do you mean by that?” she sharply stares at him.

“Nothing, I didn’t say anything,” he replies.

Taehyung continues with his gabble for about an hour, making Seunghee walk out of the room just about the time he finished his first sentence. While Jeonghan plays along with his friend. He really enjoys this kind of talk every once in a while.

“WAAA!!! This is just awesome!!!!” Taehyung screams his lungs out as they reach the viewing lounge of the inn. It’s amazingly windy and the view from there completely catches the beauty of the mountains.

What’s funnier is the moment he starts dancing around the place in a very amusing way. He looks like a monkey that was freed from the jungle. He’s like a comic character straight out a manga. It’s so funny that people around them are laughing at him too. And at the same time, Seunghee can’t help but laugh at him for the very first time. She never thought he’s make laugh like this. He is really something else.

“You’re really weird. You’re the best Kim Taehyung,” she approves.

Jeonghan is laughing too. Taehyung really has it going. His abnormality is hilarious. He sees how Seunghee laughs her heart out. He has never seen her laugh like this before. It’s nice to see her like this once in a while. It’s refreshing.

Eventually, they end up talking about their favorite animé shows and manga while watching the view from the top.

“When’s the next Attack on Titan volume gonna come out? Armin transforming into a titan was awesome. I wonder if Mikasa will turn out to be one too?” Seunghee asks.

“They should all just die like the original plot,” Jeonghan says.

“You morbid person,” she tells him.

“It’s still one piece for me guys,” Taehyung starts.

“No, I don’t have time to watch the early episodes so no to one piece for me,” she utters.

“This is new, I haven’t seen you in years. Never thought you’d turn into animé too,” Jeonghan says.

“I’ve watched everything that’s out for One Piece, but none of my past friends like animations. But really, you can’t help but fall into it after watching it once but they refused to watch. Who lives, who dies, what fruits appear… It’s a truly touching story, so I’m sad I can’t share it,” Taehyung expresses his sentiments.

Seunghee stares at him and can’t decide whether to make fun of him or not cuz his expression is serious one. So she only makes a remark, “Such a fanatic you are.”

“I am! And I’m proud of it,” he answers with a smile.

“Well, you have me buddy. Good thing I watch one piece too. Though I’m not that into it,” Jeonghan says.

“You’re a life-saver! I finally found someone to relate to!” he hilariously acts like crying and he looks funny.

Seunghee just rolls her eyes at him. “Are you really like this?”

“Wae? What’s wrong with being me? Good-looking and charming, you can’t get anyone better than me,” he replies.

“Why did I even ask? Of course there’s someone better than you. Jeonghan is,” she simply answers.

“Wow, that made my heart skip a beat. Thanks jagiya,” Jeonghan tells her.

“You’re always welcome,” she replies.

“Well, that’s a different case,” Taehyung strongly refutes.

Seunghee only smirks at him as he pouts his dissatisfaction. When suddenly, they can hear someone screaming. It’s not very loud, it seems to be at some distance from them.

“What’s that?” Seunghee comments.

Everyone in the lounge hears the scream of the person. And the three of them, along with a couple of curious ones get out of the building to look for where the sound is coming from. They all look around for the sound and finally find the location of it.

“Help!!!”

Someone is screaming for help. It’s an emergency. She’s standing at the edge of the cliff, just before the railings all aggravated and agitated. People run towards the person including Jeonghan, Seunghee and Taehyung. And when they look down at where the person is looking at, they are all shocked.

The person starts asking for help once they all arrive, “Please help my shitsu! She accidentally fell off the cliff when I wasn’t looking! Please! Help her!” She’s already crying now, asking for mercy from the crowd.

The cliff is little steep. It’s the corner most part of the mountain where the inn is situated. It’s too bad that the dog fell into one of the little holes on the fence since it’s a shitsu. It fits exactly at the hole, maybe it was running after something.

“Please, help me get my princess!!”

“We should call for some climbing expert to go down the cliff,” someone suggests.

“I’ll call the inn management for help,” another person says.

People are mumbling for steps to take while Jeonghan, Seunghee and Taehyung look down the cliff and glance at the dog.

“That’s a little high for you,” Jeonghan murmurs.

“Yeah, poor dog,” Seunghee seconds. “The owner might have been busy that she forgot to look after her.”

“I’m good at climbing. I can reach that,” Taehyung blurts out.

Jeonghan and Seunghee are shocked of what he says and even more shocked to see him gesturing as if he’s really gonna go down the cliff, barehanded. The two almost sound hysterical talking to him.

“Are you serious!? You’re not gonna do it are you?!” Seunghee exclaims.

“Hey, think this over Tae, this isn’t some drill or anything,” Jeonghan seconds.

“Don’t worry, I got this guys,” Taehyung winks at them and just suddenly, jumps over the fence.

“Yah!!” Seunghee shouts.

“Kim Taehyung!” Jeonghan adds.

Even the other people there are stunned of him as he climbs down the cliff. It’s roughly five meter down below and the rocky surface makes it hard but in some ways easier to go down. Everyone watches in awe as the hero named Kim Taehyung slowly but surely get down to where the shitsu is. His strong grip claw perfectly at the cuts of stones along the way and gets down to where the dog is in no time.

Everybody sighs in relief at he carries the dog up, but the bigger problem is how to get up with the dog in his arms. He puts it inside his shirt though and struggles to climb up the cliff. It’s even harder since the wind suddenly starts blowing quite hard, making some dirt caught up in his eyes and some debris fall down. But it doesn’t matter to him. His determination and will to help is far more powerful than fear and uncertainty. He has to get the dog to safety, that’s the only thing in his mind. He couldn’t hear the screams and words of everyone, he could only hear the barking of the dog.

And when he reaches back the ground where Jeonghan and Seunghee are, that’s the only time he hears the crowd. The shouts of appreciation and awe, along with the applause of each one, sound deafening to his ears. It’s been a while since he stood infront a crowd like this and it’s rewarding.

“You’re awesome man! You’re amazing! Thank you for rescuing the dog!” they start screaming at him and he can only smile back as he give the shitsu back to its owner.

“Thank you!! Thank you so much!!” the lady says while hugging her shitsu.

Taehyung walks back to Jeonghan and Seunghee nearby. Seunghee just can’t believe he did something heroic again.

“Wow… You almost killed me! Why the heck did you do that?! You can get killed!” she exclaims.

“I’m alive, you can relax now,” he simply says.

“Man, if I were you, I would never even try. But hey, you were awesome back there,” Jeonghan congratulates.

“Thanks man. I just did what I could,” he humbly replies. “Come on, let’s get back inside.”

He leads the other two back into the inn as if nothing really important happened. As if he did nothing out of the ordinary. It’s amazingly striking for Seunghee that he can act like that. He disregards the bellowing of the people around just like a pro. She follows him a bit impressed. So this is Kim Taehyung, that’s what she thought.

Jeonghan catches how Seunghee is looking at him and knows she’s somehow changed his impression on him, “You see now? This is the real him.”

“Yeah, no wonder you got along with him,” she states.

“Well, yeah,” he chuckles.

Taehyung never once mentioned about the dog rescue once they get back inside. He only talks about what he wants to do for the rest of the day. Jeonghan and Seunghee listen to him in return. Seunghee can’t even trash talk him anymore in surprise of the heroic thing he just did. She’ll give him the day to him for now. It’s not every day she meets someone who’d rescue an unknown dog on a steep cliff and treat it as if nothing afterwards. She sighs just thinking about it and gives Taehyung a 100% turn about inside her head.

And with him calling the cuts, they do what he wants to do like exploring the caves, meeting with bats and reaching the summit of the nearby mountain. It’s a hell of a day for the couple but it’s worth the trip. They both enjoy Taehyung’s plans and they have a very nice workout because of him, that’s the better part.

Laying on their beds, Jeonghan and Seunghee together at one and Taehyung at the other, they all stare at the ceiling feeling tired but restless. The adrenaline rush is still present and overwhelming.

“The mountain top looks really amazing, I’m gonna put it as wallpaper on my laptop,” Taehyung shares.

“I really loved the caves. Though the bats weren’t really nice,” Seunghee adds.

“Guess you love dark places when you’re with me,” Jeonghan teases.

“What are you even talking about jagiya?” she says with a tone he completely knows.

“You two should’ve gotten a separate room. I’m okay alone here,” Taehyung suggests.

“Not happening Taehyung,” Seunghee firmly states.

“You heard the girl,” Jeonghan adds.

“Ah… I feel like my body’s turning numb. I can feel the exhaustion now,” Taehyung utters. “I’ll be taking off now guys.”

“Yeah, good night,” Jeonghan says.

Taehyung closes his eyes and after a few minutes, sounds like snoring at bit. It looks like he fell asleep instantly.

“He’s asleep already?” Seunghee asks.

“He’s a sleep junkie,” Jeonghan shares.

“We should have some rest too jagiya. Sweet dreams,” she tells him and lays on her side, her back facing him.

She pulls the covers over them and tries to close her eyes when she feels his hand on her back.

“Jagiya…” she mumbles.

He puts his hand on her waist and snakes inside her shirt.

“What are you doing jagiya?”

“Come on, he won’t notice. He’s asleep.”

Jeonghan kisses her temples and starts groping her.

“Yah!” she mumbles.

Then suddenly, “I’m still awake you two… I told you, you should’ve gotten a separate room,” Taehyung murmurs.

Jeonghan and Seunghee just sigh silently on the bed. She hits him quite hardly on the shoulder and he silently grunts his pain.

“You can wait till I’m asleep though,” Taehyung jokes.

“Shut up Taehyung,” Seunghee grumbles.

“Good night you two…” he replies.

And because they were caught in an awkward moment again, the couple just cuddle closely beside each other and have a proper good night sleep.
