Heaven's Bells

The air is clear now

The smoke has gone

But the fires rage

As though it were hell

I lie alone, alive

Yet my body is dead

Listening to the tolling

Of heaven's bells

God you promised

It would never happen again

We would never again

Have to suffer or cry

But you watched and let

The Earth destroy itself

And now you can

Watch as we die
