concrete graveyards
concrete graveyards
Buildings rise
Touch the sky
Clouds of thunder
Fade and die
Smog and poisons
In the air
People below
Don't really care
Birds of flight
Fly or die
Children of men
Sit and cry
Cats and dogs
Huddle as one
Sun is gone
Day is not done
Automobiles
Death on wheels
Misery
Is what everyone feels
Noise and darkness
Block their minds
Peace they seek
But never find
Men and women
Soon will end
No one left
We have no friends
The whole world
Will shrivel up and die
As concrete graveyards
Reach to the sky
(Wrote this poem when I was 14. The earliest known poem I wrote.)
