Kakashi POV

Kakashi was sitting beside the bed you laid unconscious on as the morning sun rises. He didn't sleep at all that night, he wanted to get a little bit of sleep but as soon as he did, he'd get nightmares of Obito and Rin. More from Obito than Rin herself.

He looked over to you, slightly missing the image of you sleeping with a wide grin and messy hair. Kakashi then pulled his mask down to kiss your cheek. "When will you wake up (Name)?" he thought. One of the villagers that treated you entered and motioned for Kakashi to come out.

"We managed to stop the bleeding and stitch the wound up, but she needs to be treated in a hospital soon or else she might not make it." he said while placing his arm on Kakashi's shoulder. "The best option you have is to rush her to the Leaf village. We have already sent a messenger crow to notify them of your return and to be ready to treat her immediately."

"Is it safe to even move (Name), let alone run with her in my arms?"

"She should be fine until then, but any further delays would have a negative effect on her, she desperately needs treatment if she is to ever wake up."

Kakashi sighs and nods his head, then enters the room again. He puts his Anbu gear on and puts his Anbu mask on you. Then he picks you up, bridal style, while one villager wraps a blanket around you. You looked slightly pale, it made Kakashi worry.

"You best be on your way now, sir." a villager says as Kakashi walks outside. Kakashi then bowed slightly, trying not to drop you.

"Thank you for your kindness and generosity, I'll be sure to repay you all once I get back to the Leaf." Then he vanished from the village and reappeared jumping from tree to tree. "Hold on (Name), I'll get you home safe to Naruto" Kakashi thought.

~ Time Skip ~

Kakashi was taking a break from running for what felt like hours. He placed you under a tree and sat next to pushing his hair back out of his face then looked at you. Your hair was messy from running and his Anbu mask was slightly coming off your face since it was a little big for you. Kakashi got closer to you and hugged you, his grip tightening the more he kept thinking he'd lose you. You two were close to the village, so Kakashi picked you up and started running again. As he got closer and closer to the gate, Kakashi spots a medical team waiting to transport (Name) to the hospital along with Lord third.

He gave you to the medical ninja and was about to follow them with you to the hospital until Lord third grabbed his shoulder.

"Let them treat her now, and don't worry. She's strong she'll make it. Right now, we have to return to my office so you can explain what happened." Lord third says while turning around, placing his smoking pipe in his mouth, and making his way to the Hokage office.

"Right.." Kakashi says while watching you disappear in the distance.

~ Hokage Office ~

"Alright explain the situation." Lord third says while sitting down at his desk.

"You were right about that man, Tobi. I also feel like he may be someone we know. Apparently, his target was (Name). He was trying to recruit her to join some organization he was forming and make her go rogue. He is no ordinary ninja either. He caught wind of my presence way before they even left the village. Tobi was not going to let her get away so easily so it instigated into a battle. He had one other comrade with him that fought (Name), while I fought with him personally. She won her fight but got severely injured before delivering the final blow. They retreated afterward, I tried to wrap her wounds before we got to the nearest village to get her treated. She fell unconscious before we reached the small village." Kakashi said.

"Hmm, did you see anything out of the ordinary happen to (Name) during her battle at all?" He asks while rubbing his temples.

"Only a brief transformation, I did not see her abilities due to being focused on Tobi. So as far as knowing her abilities, that is something I have no knowledge on." Kakashi said, having a frustrated look on his face.

"Well, I guess it's time I tell you more about (Name)'s background, that even she herself doesn't know."

Kakashi looked at the Third Hokage with curiosity but slightly confused as well.

"Her parents were ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist. They had been thinking about moving to the Leaf village since they were expecting a baby and wanted to raise her in a better environment. Especially away from the Mist, mainly due to the fact that they wanted to take the baby away as soon as her mother, Tora Hikairi, gave birth to her."

"Why did they want to take her away? She was just a regular baby, correct?" Kakashi asked with a confused expression on his face.

"She would have been if that village hadn't performed experiments on her mother when she was a mere child. Experiments that caused her to gain abilities I have not seen, but I've heard was very beneficial to the Mist. Hikairi had told me through messenger crow that she didn't want (Name) to be used as an object like she was. So that same night they snuck off to come to the village, they were intercepted by the Mist ninja and fought an intense battle near the Leaf. When I went to provide support all I saw was (Name)'s father, Tora Riku, become a shield to Hikairi who was severely injured. We managed to make the Mist ninja retreat and rushed Hikairi to the hospital. After she gave birth to (Name) prematurely, she told me to keep her background and her parents a secret, to give her a chance for a new life outside of the Mist's reach. I swore to her I'd protect (Name) and keep their secret, not knowing what (Name)'s abilities were during the time or if she was going to inherit them to begin with. Her mother passed away shortly after..." Lord third finished while putting his head down to his hands.

Kakashi didn't know how to react. He didn't say a word, not knowing what words to even say after that story. All he knew was that (Name) was in the hospital fighting for her life. He didn't care about her background story or her unknown abilities. He just wanted to be with her, help her, and protect her from people like Tobi and the Mist. Kakashi clenched his fists.

"Lord third, if you'll excuse me I must go. I have to check on Naruto." Kakashi says making his way to the door.

"Naruto? For what, he isn't even related to the situation at hand."

"No, he isn't. But I promised (Name) I'd check on him when I came back to the village and I intend to do just that." With that being said, Kakashi sprinted out the door towards (Name)'s apartment to look for Naruto.
