(Name) POV

"Man, I haven't been on a mission for a while. Vacation with Kakashi-kun was fun while it lasted. Sure wish it was longer." you sighed as you waited by the front gates of the village. Your mission is just to escort somebody back to their village. Lord third said it was a C Rank mission, but it honestly appeared more as Rank D.

"Excuse me, are you Miss (Name)?"

You looked up to find a tall man smiling in front of you. He had short, black hair with an Onyx colored eye. He covered his left eye with bandages and the right side of his face was scarred, it almost looked like swirls to you.

"Yes, I'm (Name). You must be Tobi, I'll be escorting you back home. If there is anything you need just say the word and I'll do it. I wanna make your trip home as comfortable as I can." You extended your hand to shake his. He seemed hesitant but he still grabbed your hand.

"I appreciate your kindness, I feel like we will get along just fine." Tobi smirked as you two began walking.

~ To Kakashi ~

Kakashi was kneeling in front of Lord third to receive his mission, but he didn't expect to keep an eye on (Name) while she was on her mission.

"The man who requested for our service seemed suspicious. He just appeared out of nowhere, the guards at the front gate said they never encountered him either. To make matter even worse, he didn't reveal his face or last name. Nor did he mention what village he was from, he just said somewhere in the Land of fire." Lord third explained while handing some papers full of information that could be useful to Kakashi.

"It may just be a feeling, but I believe we might know this person. Whether he's an old ally or enemy, my gut is telling me to not leave this unchecked. I trust only you with this task, understand?"

"Yes, sir."

"Now go, they should've already left by now. If he turns out to be an enemy, don't hesitate to step in. (Name) could possibly be in danger if that's the case." Lord third said in a serious tone.

"I'll protect her with my life, sir." Lord third nodded and sent you off.

~ Back to you and Tobi ~

You two were having a conversation about Tobi's experience visiting the village. He seemed pleased with his visit, he even met a kid who nearly got hurt but was saved. Tobi also said meeting you was a part of the great experience. It made you blush a bit because his eyes felt familiar, almost as if you were looking into Kakashi's eyes. You shook your head labeling that thought ridiculous.

"So how is your life in the Leaf village?" Tobi said, breaking your train of thought.

"My life now is great, but it wasn't always this way." you say, a little surprised you were revealing a hint to your lonely life before you met Naruto.

"Well, I won't beg you to tell me your life story, but I do understand when a certain time in your life doesn't go your way. It's extremely painful and it can be difficult to shoulder that weight. But it also depends on how you deal with it and move forward." you took in every word he said. You felt like he understood your feelings just now, he must of went through a difficult situation in his life... or maybe is still dealing with it.

"Anyway, where's is your village? I wasn't informed when I received the mission."

"Well, it's a small town. It's not large enough to have a name but it still exists like many others." Tobi then looked in the forest and was staring at a certain tree with his Sharingan activated. He smirked as he saw someone was following them. So he put his arm over your shoulder and pulled you close, you were going to push him off but he looked at you with his Onyx eye and asked if it was okay to hold you for just a little bit. All you could do was nod, it felt really strange. You personally didn't have any interest in him but at that moment you just wished he was Kakashi.

"If it's only for a little bit, that's fine.." you looked away from him. Tobi just smiled. He then put on a mask, which confused you.

"The sun bothers me at times, I have a condition, don't worry too much about it." he chuckled. Still weird to you, you decided to dismiss it.

Kakashi, following you through the trees, cursed under his breath. Not only did he miss his chance to see Tobi without his mask, but he was holding (Name). He didn't wanna admit it but Kakashi was jealous and angry, he knew Tobi was trying to provoke him so he tried to keep his composure. It was hard though, Kakashi was literally coming up with 100 ways to murder him.

~ Time skip ~

You find a hotel to stay for the night, and you made sure that you had separate rooms. Being around Tobi made you incredibly uneasy. Also, you felt like someone was watching you the entire time with a deadly aura to it. Once Tobi let go of you, the aura went away but you couldn't shake the feeling off whatsoever.

When you entered your room, you dropped everything and fell on the bed. You sighed from exhaustion, you were glad the trip was nearly over. You didn't think you'd have any trouble but it turned out to be the opposite.

"I miss Kakashi-kun, if only he was here with me, by my side, holding me in his arms.... as if that would happen." you laughed a little but the tone of your laughter felt as if you were sad and had a longing desire.

"Well if that's what you want then you should've told me sooner, (Name)."

You sat up to find Kakashi leaning against the wall near the window. Your entire face was red, feeling completely embarrassed.

"What the fuck Kakashi-kun! You scared the shit out of me! Don't you ever do that again unless you wanna die!" You say as you run to him and punch his arm.

"Sorry, I'll try not to startle you next time." He says while stroking your cheek.

"What are you doing here anyway? How'd you find me?... Were you following me?"

"No! I wasn't following you, I was just on my way back from a mission to the village and I saw you enter this hotel with... with another guy." he said while clenching his fist. You noticed what he did and started laughing.

"Kakashi-kun are you jealous?" You say while poking his shoulder. You were playing around, waiting to see a priceless expression on his face. But he looked at you with a serious face instead, it made your heart skip a beat.

"Of course I am... I don't want another guy around you.." Kakashi said in a low husky voice. You felt your knees go weak but you tried to keep relaxed so you wouldn't ruin the moment.

"Why do you care whether I'm around another guy or not?" You wondered how the conversation got so deep. Kakashi flinched a little, he looked away from you and scratched his head before he spoke.

"Isn't it obvious..."

"No, I'm not a mind reader so I can't tell what you're thinking or your feelings Kakashi-kun. You have to tell me yoursel-" you were cut off by a sudden kiss from Kakashi. At first, you were surprised, but you kissed him back. He wrapped his arms around your waist, while you wrapped yours around his neck. Since he was taller, you had to pull his head down so you could get a deeper kiss. It was so surreal, you thought you were dreaming until Kakashi pulled away from you to breathe. When you looked up you saw his mask was back on, you really thought he would show you his face this time.

"Wow... So where do we stand now...?"

"I don't know.. I guess since I stole a kiss from your lips, it means that you're mine and only mine.." Kakashi put his forehead on yours while tightening his grip around you.

"If I'm yours then why won't you say how you feel? Tell me so I know this is real." You say while staring into his eyes, hoping and searching for the answer.

"I like you.. and I want you to be with me." You knew he was going to say that, but just hearing those words leave his lips left you speechless.

"I like you too.." you mumbled as you looked away from Kakashi, trying to avoid his gaze.

"I didn't hear you, say it again." Kakashi teased you as he makes you look at him.

"I said I like you too Kakashi-kun! Happy?" You frowned, you're cheeks were still so red. It only made you even more adorable in Kakashi's eyes.

"Extremely. But you know what would make me happier?" He says while pushing a strand of your hair behind your ear.

"What?"

"If that guy keeps his hands to himself." You felt that same deadly aura from before surrounding Kakashi. All you did was laugh and bring his face closer to yours.

"Don't worry, baka. I won't let him near me" you continued to laugh.

~ To Tobi ~

Tobi was standing outside your door and had heard the entire conversation. He also heard what Kakashi said as if he knew Tobi was standing outside eavesdropping. Tobi frowned and walked away.

"Game on, Kakashi. But you know you can't protect her forever from me."
