Your POV

You slowly woke up as the sunlight slipped through the window and was hitting your eyes. You stretched out your arms and legs as you were slowly waking up. You sat up to see Kakashi sleeping beside you and smiled. You went down to kiss his forehead, but as soon as you got near his face, he kisses you on the lips surprising you.

"Good morning." Kakashi said smiling while resting his forehead on yours.

"No fair, I thought you were sleeping." You said while laughing softly.

"Nah, I was up before you. I was just admiring that goofy grin you always have in your sleep. I haven't seen it in so long, I'll be honest I missed that grin and your terrible sleeping." Kakashi said while hugging you. You were smiling and laughing. You then got up to raise the blinds on the window to let in some sunshine. Once you did, the sun hit Kakashi as he sat up and stretched. You smiled at him and he was signaling you to come closer. As you sat between his legs, you both held each other's cheeks. You both froze and laughed. You then grabbed Kakashi's hand that was caressing your cheek and noticed his knuckles were bruised.

"Did you hurt your hand from fighting me yesterday?" You said while still looking at his hand, concerned. He chuckled as he looked at you.

"Well, this is nothing compared to the injuries I got when I fought you one on one. Don't worry, it'll heal." Kakashi tried to pull his hand away from you, but you still held on to it. You kissed his knuckle and held it close to your face. Kakashi's eyes widened as you did that.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to fight you then and now. You always get hurt because of me." You said letting go of his hand and turning away from him, your back facing him. Kakashi sighed. He grabbed your waist and pulled you close to him and kissed your neck.

"You don't need to apologize for anything. You had your reasons, so don't beat yourself over it. I get hurt regardless if I'm with you or not, that's the life of a ninja. Fighting for what you believe in and for what you wanna protect." Kakashi said as you turned to look at him. "I wanted to protect you."

"Man, you're cute when you try to cheer me up." You laughed. Kakashi raised his eyebrow at you while laughing. The rest of your first morning together was just the two of you being lovey-dovey.

~ Time skip ~

You were back in the cleaned up conference room reading over the files on your parents and the reports on the experiments done on your mother. You had a much cooler head than you did the day before, especially now that you and Akira have teamed up. You sighed as you close the files, feeling like you've found closure.

Then you suddenly remembered about Tobi. He could still be in the village waiting for the perfect opportunity to steal these files, and you didn't want that to happen. Also, you had a strange sensation as if there was a person on the ceiling, staring at you with the intent to kill. You open one file again and was pretending to read so you could talk with Akira.

"Kira-chan, am I hallucinating or is there someone on the ceiling looking directly at me?" You thought.

"No, there's definitely someone there but I can't see them clearly. From what I can tell, it's a female ninja. She's hiding her chakra so it would be hard to notice her without Sage chakra. Lucky us you actually trained and mastered that. If you enter Sage mode then you'll find her easy." Akira said while growling.

"It's a good thing I left a clone at the room me and Kakashi stayed in. It's currently meditating and should be done in 4 more minutes. For now, please keep watch of her Akira." You said to her.

"Got it!" Akira said to you before you focused back on the actual files. You then closed the file and looked at the concerned Kakashi. You took his hand and gave him a reassuring smile just to let him know you were fine. Then you stood face to face with Lady Mizukage.

"Lady Mizukage, thank you for helping us and your patience. I know it must've been difficult dealing with me yesterday when I nearly went on a full rampage. Forgive me for being so troublesome." You said as you bowed to her. She laughed and waved her hands dismissively.

"All is forgiven. It was also the Mist's responsibility to provide you with the answers you seek since your parents were respected Shinobi. You're welcomed back anytime, as long as Tsunade informs me ahead of time to give you a proper welcome." She said while holding both your hands.

"Also, the Akatsuki is after these files of my mother's experiments. As to why they are interested in them, I think it has to do with recreating tailed beasts. My mother had passed away trusting Akira to me since she was also harmed during the experiment. To let the Akatsuki have their way and go after jinchuuriki like myself and my brother, I won't allow it. So with your permission, may we please take back these files to the Leaf so we can keep it out of their reach?" You said while giving her a serious expression. She was hesitant.

"Why do you need to take it to the Leaf if it's safe here?" She said while crossing her arms. You made a hand sign which activated your Sage mode. You grabbed a Kunai knife and opened your eyes. You immediately saw the ninja above you and noticed she seemed similar to you in a way.

"Because you've already had two intruders near this information." You threw the knife towards the ceiling only for it to be blocked by another knife. On the ceiling appeared a wolf masked girl wearing a hidden sound headband. She chuckled as she landed on the ground.

"I knew you were strong, but to sense me when I hid my chakra completely, it's quite amusing. Hopefully, you provide a much better fight than Hikairi." She said while laughing and her tails appearing. Your eyes widened at her when you suddenly disappeared and clashed Kunai knives with the mysterious masked woman.

"You're the one who killed my parents?!" The clash caused the floor to sink a little and the walls to crack. Everyone had to hold their ground to not get blown away by the impact.

"I was supposed to bring them back to Lord Orochimaru alive, but they were so troublesome that I decided to strike them down and return them immobilized. Death was not a part of the plan but they gave me no choice." She said while pushing you back. "Shall we continue this fight outside, little kitty?"

"Let's go." You both disappeared. Kakashi and the group were frozen in place. Kakashi shook his head and frowned. He grabbed the files and faced Lady Mizukage.

"Forgive us for being rude, but we must take these files and provide support to (Name). Excuse us, Lady Mizukage." Kakashi said as he left the room followed by the others. Lady Mizukage had a vein popping out of her forehead.

"How the hell did this happen?!"

~ Outside the Mist village ~

You both appeared and landed on the body of water near a bridge that was under construction. You were looking around and noticed a sign that was on the bridge. Your eyes widened when you read 'The Great Naruto Bridge'. You smirked and faced your enemy.

"My, what's so funny little kitty? You were angry a second ago."

"My brother is a step ahead of me. And I'm supposed to be the older sibling." You chuckled as you gave her a large grin. It annoyed her.

"That's such a stupid grin. I'll wipe it off your face!" Chakra surrounded her as she transformed. Ears and a large number of tails appeared. You stood your ground and frowned at her. You noticed your hands were shaking.

"Am I afraid..? Yeah, I am. Her chakra feels stronger than my own, do I even have a chance?" You thought. Then a paw was in front of you, and you looked up to find Akira.

"It's okay to be afraid. You're not alone, we can face her together head-on. You always did mumble something about setting an example for you brother. Now is the perfect chance to show him your courage." You stared at Akira for a second and smiled. You fist bumped her paw. Then you sensed a group of four heading your way and knew that it was Kakashi and the others.

"You're not the only one who's special, Lord Orochimaru has also done experiments on me. I'm far better than you, you have no chance of winning. Why don't you do the thing you mother should've done. Give up and come along nicely so I don't have to hurt you, little kitty." She took off her mask and had a sinister smile on her while laughing.

"Sorry, but I can't do that mutt. If you're so much better than me, then why do you even need me? I just got my life straightened out, so I won't have anyone like you or Orochimaru ruin it again. I have people I need to protect, promises I need to keep, and... a lover who needs me in his life that I also need in mine. So you tell that pedo to continue his research on you because he's never going to get his filthy hands on me." You said knowing that the others had come and heard everything you said. Then you pointed your thumb back at Naruto.

"That kid needs me to push him in the right direction for his dream. I have a job to protect the Hidden Leaf's future Hokage." You made the same grin that annoyed her just to piss her off. Naruto, on the other hand, was crying, trying to cover his face so no one could see how happy he was. After he finished wiping away his tears, he tried to jump into your upcoming battle but Jiraiya stopped him and smiled.

"Let her show off, she's not some damsel in distress. If things get out of hand we will step in to help her, but for now just sit back and watch." Jiraiya said while folding his arms, still smiling. Kakashi didn't say anything but just smiled under his mask. While still in Sage mode you got into a battle stance, the other girl just laughed hysterically.

"You won't beat me in that weak state unless you transform you have no hope in winning against me. I'm glad we share the same thoughts about your uselessness! But even so, Lord Orochimaru still wants you weak piece of trash. You're just an abandoned cat that's been abused by her past owner." She started laughing again. You got angry at her last statement and your eyes changed. It was your Sage form eyes with your green beast-like eyes fusing together to give you lime green eyes.

"Then what does that make you?" You said. She stopped laughing and frowned at you. You knew you hit a nerve and was ready for her to come at you. You smirked and tilted your head.

"Stop acting like you're above me when you are actually beneath me. You're even beneath my parents so I don't wanna hear your crap about being better when you've probably been in a cage for most of your life. At least I know what it's like to really live." A vein popped out of Kyokan's forehead. She pulled out a dagger and charged towards you. She tried to cut you with the dagger, but you went down and dodged it then kicked her into the air. She landed on the ground and coughed out blood due to you kicking her in the face.

"Hmph. Don't underestimate me, come at me so we can end this quickly." You said still holding your stance. Kyokan got up and was extremely angry.

"I guess you chose death!" She charged at you again and started throwing punches. You were dodging and blocking them as you tried to look for an opening. You grabbed her wrist and kicked her feet so she'd fall. As she fell, you gathered chakra in your fist and punched her in the stomach. She sank in the water and bubbles of oxygen came to the surface.

"Go Nee-chan! Kick her ass!" Naruto cheered in the background. Gai was cheering beside him as Kakashi looked concerned. Jiraiya only smiled at your performance so far but knew the battle wasn't over. You sighed as you noticed them. Then Kyokan jumped out of the water towards you with a tailed beast cloak covering her body.

"Don't think that's enough to beat me!" She threw multiple punches at you from afar with the tailed beast cloak. You dodged them all jumping across the water. Just as you thought you dodged the last one, another came your way and hit you. You flew back and hit the surface of the water face first before you lost your focus to keep yourself above water. You slowly dragged yourself up from the water and was breathing heavily because you were winded. Your vision was blurry, you could barely see Kyokan.

"You're such an eyesore! Disappear already!" Kyokan said letting anger take over. She was making a tailed beast bomb, yet she couldn't make a large one due to inexperience. Jiraiya was getting worried because you weren't moving and was about to get hit with the tailed beast bomb. Everyone was about to come to your rescue when you held up your hand at them before they could even move.

"Don't interfere! This is my battle and I can handle it!" You said while standing on your two feet, struggling to keep your balance. Then before you could jump out of the way, Kyokan fired the tailed beast bomb. It hit you and you were swallowed up in its explosion.

"(Name)!!" Kakashi yelled out in a panic. He couldn't sense your chakra once you got hit by the attack. He wanted to run to you, but Jiraiya grabbed him by the shoulder.

"Don't go to her, it's like she said this is her battle. I wanna help her as much as you do, but to her, it's more than a fight. It's her redemption and the last obstacle she has to go through concerning her past. She needs to do this alone or else she won't get past this in the future." Jiraiya said while looking at the cloud of smoke. He smirked when he felt your chakra while Kakashi frowned at not being able to help you. You were in the cloud of smoke coughing and trying to speak to Akira but she wasn't responding.

"Akira, you there? Answer me please." You thought to yourself, but still no answer. Your eyes had returned to the normal eye color due to your Sage mode chakra fading away and beast mode as well due to the loss of connection with Akira.

"Guess I got no other choice but to use that jutsu.." you said while sighing. You held your right hand out as chakra started to swirl in the palm of your hand. You suddenly remembered what Jiraiya told you during one of your training sessions.

Flashback

"Rasengan?" You tilted your head in confusion. Jiraiya nodded as he performed the jutsu to you. You weren't impressed.

"Yeah, this jutsu was created by the fourth himself. I think it's only right, since your technically his eldest child, that I teach you this jutsu." Jiraiya said while holding the Rasengan in his hand. You crossed your arms and thought about it.

"No thanks. It doesn't seem to be my style, that looks more suited for Naruto than me." You said causing Jiraiya to give you a poker face.

"Well... why don't you make it into your own style then. With enough practice, you could probably do it." Jiraiya tried to convince you.

"Hmmmm"

End of flashback

The smoke cleared up to show you kneeling on the water while holding Rasengan in your right hand while the other was holding your arm. Naruto's jaw dropped to the ground when he recognized the jutsu.

"What?! Nee-chan knows how to use Rasengan too?!" Naruto said facing Jiraiya while pointing at you. Jiraiya, slightly annoyed, made Naruto face you.

"Just watch." Naruto focused on you to see what would happen next. Then he gazed over to Kyokan, who had multiple veins popping out of her forehead.

"Why won't you just die?!"

"Because I have to be there for my loved ones, I can't let you kill me. But I'll finish this right now."
