Kakashi POV

After Kakashi and Naruto finish eating at Ichiraku's, they walked side by side throughout the village, Naruto begging Kakashi to train him.

"Come on, Kakashi-sensei! You taught Sasuke Chidori, why can't I learn something just as cool?!" Naruto frowned.

"Aren't you training with Master Jiraiya? He is much more skilled than me. He can teach you some new jutsu." Kakashi said while smiling at Naruto. Naruto was confused for a second.

"You mean Pervy sage? I haven't seen him at all since he fought with Itachi. He literally disappeared! So I have no one to train me but you!" Naruto said while crying anime tears and giving Kakashi a pleading look. Kakashi sighed.

"Don't worry Naruto, Master Jiraiya is just sorting out some important matters. He'll be back before you know it." Kakashi said while ruffling his hair. Before Naruto could say another word, someone called him from afar. It was Guy, and he was walking towards them while using there hands.

"Hey, Naruto! How've you been! You're looking rather youthful today!" Guy said while jumping back on to his feet.

"Bushy Brow-sensei! I'm glad you're here, help me convince Kakashi-sensei in training me! He keeps turning me down!" Naruto said while pointing to the sweatdropping Kakashi.

"There's only one way to settle this. Kakashi! I challenge you to a race! If I win you have to train Naruto. If you win then you don't need to. This match will break our tie in wins!" Guy says while holding his fist in the air.

"Normally, I'd be busy and tell you another time Guy. But I'm feeling rather energetic and I'll accept your challenge. Also, it's the only way to get Naruto off my case." Kakashi said while stretching his legs. "Explain the details of the race, Guy."

"Alright! So we will begin in front of the Hokage's building and run two laps around the village. Whoever makes it back first wins the race!"

"Alright let's do this." Kakashi cracked his neck. Both Kakashi and Guy got into starting positions for the race. Naruto summoned two shadow clones and was in front of them.

"Alright, let's start this thing!" The real Naruto in front of them said.

"Come on, Bushy Brow-sensei! You can do it!" One clone said while standing on the right side of Guy. Guy pulled the nice guy pose to that clone.

"You're my sensei and all, but lose Kakashi-sensei! I want you to train me!" The other clone barked to Kakashi on his left. Kakashi was sweatdropping.

"Ready!" Kakashi and Guy looked down.

"Set!" They both straightened their legs a little to a sprinting position.

"Go!" They both sprinted past Naruto causing some dirt from the ground to turn into dust. They left Naruto coughing and tearing up behind.

~ Time skip ~

It was the last lap and Naruto was impatient. He was rooting for Guy but he knew Kakashi was also very skilled so the chance of either of them winning is 50/50. Naruto was sitting in front of the Hokage building with his arms crossed as Tsunade walked down the stairs towards him.

"Naruto, just the person I was-... um, what are you doing?" Tsunade said as she tilted her head.

"Waiting."

"For what?" Tsunade was a bit annoyed that she got a vague response.

"The winner of the challenge between Kakashi and Bushy Brow-sensei." As Naruto finished his sentence, his eyes widened when he saw them in the distance. They were running side by side. Tsunade's eyebrow flinched when she spotted them too.

"OOOOOOHHHHHHH!" They both screamed as they spotted Naruto and sprinted towards him with all their strength. It was neck and neck, Naruto started to panic when he realized he was in the way. Tsunade grabbed Naruto by the collar of his jacket and dragged him to the side. One of them needed to touch the building to be the victor. Tsunade, annoyed, paid attention so she could announce the winner and end the challenge quickly. They both extended their hands as the ran past the fence.

"I can do this!" Guy thought as he pushed himself to get ahead of Kakashi. It was working until he tripped on a rock. As he fell, time slowed as he turned to Naruto. He looked as if his dreams were slowly being crushed while wearing a poker-faced expression. Then Guy hit the ground face first and slid towards the building. He was near it but didn't touch it. Guy slowly raised his hand to do so but Kakashi touched it before him. Tsunade sweatdropped as she witnessed that moment.

"Sorry Guy, it was a really close race. But it looks like I win." Kakashi said while panting with one hand on his knee and the other touching the building. Kakashi looked up to face Naruto. But Naruto had fainted from Guy's loss, his hand and feet twitching in the air. Tsunade sighed and grabbed Naruto's foot.

"You two. In my office. Now." Tsunade said while dragging Naruto up the stairs into the building. Kakashi put Guy's arm over his shoulder and helped him up. His face was red and filled with cuts and scrapes from sliding on the floor.

"Y-youth..." Guy said before tilting his head to the side and becoming unconscious. Kakashi laughed nervously while sweatdropping.

~ Hokage Office ~

Once Naruto and Guy regained their composure, they stood in front of Tsunade along with Kakashi.

"I have some important information regarding (Name)." Tsunade said as she sat up straight in her chair. Naruto's eyes widened as he froze in place. Kakashi and Guy frowned.

"What is it?! Spill it granny Tsunade!" Naruto was anxious to hear the information she knew since he desperately wanted to see his Nee-chan again.

"Calm down, Naruto. If you can't keep it together then I can't tell you this." Naruto calmed down but still frowned at Tsunade. She sighed and looked at Kakashi.

"(Name) has been spotted in a nearby village near the Mist." Kakashi's eyes widened as he thinks about what Tsunade said in his mind.

"I also read her file, I assume Naruto knows about his sister's past." Tsunade grabbed a file with a picture of you when you were 16 clipped on it. Naruto was confused.

"No, I don't know anything about her past. I always thought it wasn't important and not even Nee-chan knows about her past. So what granny?"

"Naruto, her past is the reason she left the village." Tsunade didn't want to be the bearer of bad news, but she had to be straightforward with Naruto. Seeing that nobody before, not even her Sarutobi-sensei had the guts to even talk to him.

"What.. I don't understand, why didn't anyone tell me that was the reason. What's the big idea about it anyway?" Naruto was trying to stay calm, but the truth was he was slowly getting angry. He looked at Kakashi but Kakashi turned his head away from Naruto.

"I'll just get straight to the point. She wasn't told that her parents were from the Hidden Mist and were ambushed when they tried to escape. Her parents died the same night she was born. Apparently, they wanted to take her away after she was born but the third Hokage managed to save her mother before they took her back to the Mist to give birth to (Name) here prematurely in the Leaf. Your sister might be heading to the Village Hidden in the Mist to find out more about her parents or just might go there for revenge. At least that's the only logical reason I can think of for her to be there." Tsunade said while reading the file. She looked up to see Naruto, expressionless and looking down at the floor. Kakashi knew there was more to the situation but he felt like Naruto would do something reckless if he told him about it. There was also the nine tailed fox they needed to worry about. If Naruto's feelings about the situation get out of hand, it could trigger the nine tails chakra to come out. He didn't want any of that to happen.

"So why are you telling us this other than explaining the situation. Do you want us to go after her?" Kakashi asks Tsunade.

"I wouldn't have told you this if I didn't want you to go after her. Unlike the third, I want to save a comrade that belongs here in this village. I want you three to go stop her before she reaches the Mist. Who knows what could happen if she comes into contact with the person responsible for the order to kill her parents." Naruto clenched his fist.

"We'll get Nee-chan back, granny Tsunade! I can't become Hokage without saving my own Nee-chan, she promised to support me. I'll remind her to keep that promise. Believe it!" Naruto grinned at Tsunade.

"Alright, I'm counting on you. You will head out tomorrow, first thing in the morning."

"Understood." Kakashi said to Tsunade. As the three left the Hokage building, Kakashi walked Naruto home to his apartment.

"Naruto, whatever happens in this mission tomorrow, make sure you control your feelings okay? And be strong too. We don't know if your sister is still the same person we know and love." Kakashi said while resting his hand on Naruto's shoulder.

"I know Kakashi-sensei, I'll be cool don't worry about it! All I want is for Nee-chan to come back so we can hang out like before. I'll finally be able to do something, it's my chance to bring her back." Naruto gave Kakashi a wide grin. For a second, Kakashi saw you through Naruto and chuckled.

"Alright, get some rest for tomorrow. Goodnight." Kakashi ruffled Naruto's hair and left. Kakashi smiled under his mask and thought to himself.

"Maybe you'll actually come back..."
