Kakashi POV

"It's been 5 years since I've last seen (Name). I quit the Anbu and now lead a team of three young Genin. Those three are Haruno Sakura, Uchiha Sasuke, and Uzumaki Naruto. I watch over Naruto whenever I can when we aren't on missions and he usually stays at my house when he's too lazy to go back to his apartment. He moved out of the one he shared with (Name), it's still there with her stuff but Naruto refuses to stay there. I sometimes hear suspicious reports that have to do with the organization that she's a part of but I don't pay attention to them anymore. I stopped looking for her after many failed attempts and missions, it's almost like she doesn't want to be found. So instead of chasing her, I focus on Naruto and make sure he grows into a fine shinobi. Lord third had passed away after the attack during the Chunin exams, and now we have a new Fifth Hokage, Lady Tsunade. Well, I'll stop rambling and tell you I'm in the hospital again after fighting Itachi and his partner. To be honest, I'm getting that same weird feeling that something else is going to happen today."

Kakashi was speaking to Jiraiya. He had just returned with Sasuke, injured due to fighting Itachi, and Naruto. Jiraiya let Naruto go home so he could speak privately with Kakashi, he had information that would interest Kakashi.

"That organization that Itachi is apart of is called the Akatsuki. The very same organization that recruited your beloved (Name)." Jiraiya said while leaning against the hospital window. Kakashi wasn't phased by the news, he didn't even react to it. Jiraiya sighed.

"Are you really giving up on her? I thought you loved her? That's really one of the reasons I looked into this and investigated myself so that you could get up from your ass and find your girl." Jiraiya said frowning at Kakashi while folding his arms.

"I do love her, Jiraiya. But what can I do about it? Every time I was dead set on finding her I always came back empty handed. She doesn't want to be found, and it's all because I screwed up back then and lied to her. Thank you for investigating but there's nothing else we can do. She's not coming back and the sooner I accept it the better." Kakashi said while looking at his hands.

"Well, that's a load of crap if you ask me. Not only is she the one that got away but she's Naruto's sister. He doesn't realize this but he talks about her way too much, I'm starting to get a mental image if you ask me. She's kind of hot... but that's beside the point! There is something you can do, and that is to believe in her! I don't believe this bullshit that Sarutobi-sensei said about her stealing jutsu, I mean there are other valuable things she could've stolen other than forbidden jutsu. Also, if Minato adopted her then she obviously is the only real family Naruto has. So get up off your ass, get your shit together, and look for your woman!" Jiraiya said while getting into Kakashi's face. Kakashi frowned and looked away from him.

"Even if I did, I can't leave the village. I have a duty as the leader of Team 7 to watch over those three and carry out missions. There's no way I'll be able to go out and search for her. Besides, now more than ever do I need to focus on my team. Especially Naruto and Sasuke. (Name) will have to wait." Jiraiya sighed and opened the window. He stopped before he left and turned to Kakashi.

"Even though you're one of my best customers, I don't want you to just walk around and read my books for the rest of your life. Find her, because I can see it in your face, you won't love anyone else but her." Jiraiya leaves out the window, which let in a breeze that hits Kakashi. He covered his face and fell back on the bed.

~ Your apartment at Night ~

Your door opens and two mysterious people wearing black cloaks with red clouds wearing straw hats enter the dark apartment. One of them had a cloak that went to their thighs while the other had a long cloak. The one with the shorter cloak grabbed a picture frame that had a picture of you, Naruto, and Kakashi. That person sighed.

"It's been a while since you've been home hasn't it, (Name)-chan."

"Yes, it's been five years exactly. It feels so nostalgic to be in my home, Konan-san. I'm surprised my younger brother doesn't live here anymore and that my things are still here." You said while putting the picture down.

"Well since that's the case, we should lay low here. It looks like no one has been here for years so we can use this place for shelter until we get word from Kisame and Itachi. For now, I'll just settle in this room right here, let me know if you sense anything suspicious alright?" Konan says while heading toward Naruto's old room.

"Right, I'll inform you of any suspicious activity." You said before Konan enters the room and closes the door behind her. You take off your straw hat and head towards your old room. It didn't look dusty at all compared to the rest of the house, almost as if someone cleaned it. Your bed was made, your old clothes were neatly folded, and everything else was in the same place you left it. You immediately thought of Kakashi and sighed.

"That guy sure is amazing." You thought and smiled. You then took off your cloak and managed to find a shirt that still fit you. But it only fit as a crop top since you grew from a somewhat small chest into a medium chest. You looked into a mirror that was on the door and admired your curvy figure. You had changed since you were 16, now you're 21 and much stronger. You went through vigorous training with Obito until you could learn to control your power. You missed home every day, but it still wasn't time for you to come back. You had only just recently joined the Akatsuki since it took you years to master your new form and you only knew that the organization was planning on kidnapping the jinchuuriki. Which meant they were going after Naruto as well, and you weren't going to let them have him so easily.

You opened your window and climbed up to the roof of your apartment. It was nighttime and the moon was out. You bit your thumb and performed the summoning jutsu. A tiny frog appeared with a letter in its hand.

"Jiraiya needs to learn I'm not a messenger! Pops will crush him when he finds out I delivered another letter to him." The orange frog said.

"I'm sorry, Gamakichi. I appreciate you for doing this from time to time. If the boss finds out, tell him it's my fault. You can go now, and tell Gamahiro I said hi and we will train soon." You said while taking the letter and petting Gamakichi.

"Nah, I'm not gonna let you take the fall for him, your too nice. But don't worry I'll tell the fellas at home you're coming back soon. Ma and Pa can't wait for you to return." Gamakichi says before disappearing. You laughed and sat down.

"Dear (Name), I'm glad Sarutobi-sensei told me about your situation years ago before I beat Kakashi into a bloody pulp for being so naive. I gave him so many hints that you didn't betray the village and go rogue so he could search for you but the guy won't budge. He insists that you don't want to be found and junk like that. If you want to talk to him, go to the hospital. He fought Itachi earlier today, if I wasn't near Naruto they would've taken him. I'll keep watch of your brother so don't worry about him. Minato and Kushina would be so proud of both of you. Keep me informed with any new information about the Akatsuki's plans. Be careful, don't let your guard down. Jiraiya." You read the letter in your thoughts. You sighed once you realized communicating with Kakashi was going to be difficult.

"What if he doesn't feel the same as he once did before? He literally gave up on looking for me. Ugh, this situation sucks but I can't just leave and go see him. Konan will be suspicious of me if I left the apartment without informing her. Kakashi... I want to see you again.." you thought as you looked up at the moon. Your hair was moving into the breeze and you tried to hold it back until you locked eyes with someone. The one person you've longed to see for so many years. It was Kakashi. Tears ran down your face but you quickly stood up and waved your hands for him to go. Kakashi was frozen in place on top of another roof. Tears fell from his one visible eye. He was about to run towards you until Jiraiya appeared, grabbed him and disappeared. You wiped away your tears as Konan appeared next to you.

"What happened? I felt chakra here just now."

"We need to relocate, apparently this apartment wasn't so vacant after all." You said as you grabbed Konan and went inside to get your things.

"Did you run into someone just now?" She yells while going into the other room for her things.

"I did but I managed to injure that person before he could attack, he must've fled for reinforcements." You said as you both headed for the door. You opened it to find Itachi and Kisame on the other side. You walked past the two as they followed you out of the apartment complex.

"(Name)-sama, we couldn't get Naruto. He was guarded by Jiraiya. We fought three Jonin earlier as well so we need to leave before we get surrounded by shinobi." Itachi said while running next to you. You found out that Itachi was in the same situation as you in investigating the Akatsuki for the Third Hokage when he first joined. He was the only person you fully trusted in the organization. He also knew you had been communicating with Jiraiya and sending him details about their plans, but he asked you not to inform Jiraiya that he was helping you. You didn't know why he wanted to carry the burden of being labeled as a criminal but you respected his wishes.

"Honestly, we could've taken them. It was Itachi that wanted to escape every time the battles were getting good." Kisame said as your four had exited the village and was running through the forest.

"Don't be foolish, if you two were to stay behind then you would've exposed the Akatsuki more than you should have." Konan said to Kisame.

"Enough. We already got the information we needed, the target is here in the Leaf but heavily guarded. Let's leave it at that and return before anything else happens." You said while clenching your fist. The last thing you wanted was the Akatsuki taking Naruto, and it angered you that they were so close to capturing him. But you had to play along or else you'll get caught in your own act. "Don't worry Naruto, I'll protect you." You thought as the four of you disappeared into the night.

~ To Kakashi ~

"Look I know what your thinking but you need to relax, (Name) can explain the situation to you perfectly." Jiraiya said to Kakashi while returning to his hospital room. Kakashi was pacing back and forth.

"What is there to explain? She was here and I haven't seen her for so long. The only question you need to answer is why would she up now when I've been looking for her for years." Kakashi said surprisingly calm.

"Well um, isn't it better for her to tell you herself?" Jiraiya said while laughing nervously and rubbing the back of his neck.

"I'm already confused as it is, Jiraiya. What the hell is going on, because it seems that you know more than you're telling me." Kakashi said while giving Jiraiya an angry expression.

"She's undercover, Kakashi. She never went rogue at all, she only acted the way she did to infiltrate the Akatsuki. Sarutobi-sensei made her a part of the Anbu back then and had told her the truth long before she left the village with that masked man." Jiraiya said with a straight face. Kakashi's eyes widened as he fell back onto a chair.

"Are you kidding me? And she hid this from me... why? I wouldn't have jeopardized her mission at all. In fact, I could've helped her. Why keep this a secret?! I've been blaming myself and looking for her endlessly to only find out she never really went rogue? Unbelievable, there was no need to lie at all, especially from me." Kakashi said while grabbing his head. Jiraiya put his hand on his shoulder.

"I told her you wouldn't take the news so well but hey I tried. But just because I told you this doesn't mean she coming back, not yet at least. But I'll let her explain the details." Jiraiya says while grabbing Kakashi's shirt.

"What are you-"

Poof!

Jiraiya had done a reverse summon and was in Mount Myoboku. Kakashi looked around and was confused by the sudden change of setting.

"Kakashi-kun!"

Kakashi turned around to see you running towards him. Tears with running down your face. Without a second thought, Kakashi runs you. You jump in his arms as he runs to you. His grip on you tightened as you cried in his chest.

"Kakashi-kun, please forgive me! Don't hate me, I can explain everything!" You said while holding his face. He placed his forehead on yours.

"I'll forgive you as soon as you explain the whole situation of your mission. Me hating you? That'll never happen." He says while pulling down his mask to kiss you. You two shared a long and passionate kiss, that was much needed after being apart for so long. Completely ignoring the fact Jiraiya was also there. Jiraiya cleared his throat loudly, causing you two to look back at him.

"Don't get me wrong! This is great content for my research, but please don't forget I'm here. We have other matters to discuss. Also, I hate being ignored." Jiraiya says while grinning and getting in between you two. You laughed as Kakashi chuckled nervously. "I missed you so much, Kakashi."

A/N: I made a long chapter to start off season 2. I was kind of struggling a little in what to write and where to start it off but hopefully, I did an okay job in doing so. So enjoy!
