Kakashi POV

Kakashi slowly opened his right eye while regaining consciousness. He tried to move but he was sore so it was hard. He realized as he grabbed his mask beside him that he was in the hospital. He gets up as he puts his mask on, and tries to leave. But as he opens the door he finds Lord third about to enter.

"Kakashi, before you do anything else we need to talk. It's completely urgent and related to the current situation you're facing." Lord third says as he walks past you into the room.

"What's so urgent that has to be discussed when I have to save (Name)." Kakashi says as he closes the door and sits on the bed.

"It's clearly about her if you couldn't tell. I need to know before I send anyone out to find her what happened specifically." Lord third says as he sits down in a chair across from Kakashi. Kakashi sighed.

"Fine. At some point yesterday while I was away on a mission, Tobi, the man that ambushed (Name), infiltrated the village and told her 'everything'. But what everything is specifically I don't really know. I assume it's her past. We had an argument about it, I told her I couldn't tell her anything but she never gave me the chance to tell her that you could explain her past. She threatened to end our relationship and left to find her own answers. I chased after her to only run into Tobi, who later knocked me out and vanished with her. I was too consumed by my own emotions to even save her..." Kakashi said while hanging his head, ashamed of himself.

"Don't worry about what you couldn't do then, but what you could do now. It's still not too late to catch up to them. Form a five-man group to search for (Name)." Lord third said while placing his hand on Kakashi's shoulder.

"Why? So you can keep an eye on her? So you can continue to have her nearby and use her as a tool?" Kakashi replied, fed up with the whole situation. All he wanted was for you to trust him again. To see you again. Lord third punched Kakashi on the top of his head.

"Idiot. She's a part of this village too, and that means she belongs here. (Name) isn't just an experiment to be exploited, she's a ninja of the Leaf and I cannot tolerate having one of my own to go down the path of darkness. Also, Naruto needs her. They only have each other so imagine how Naruto will feel if he loses her. He'll be heartbroken and since he's only a child who knows what will happen. I cannot let any of this happen, especially to you." Lord third walks towards the door but stops before he opens the door.

"I haven't seen you so happy since you were together with Obito, Rin, and Minato. (Name) must be special to be able to set you free from the sadness that was drowning you. She's connected with so many people, she's no longer a neglected child, but a precious friend. Don't let her fall, find her and bring her back home. Once you gather your team, head out immediately. Understood?" Lord third said looking back at Kakashi. He stood up from the bed, his fists clenched and a determined expression in his face.

"Understood."

~ Time skip ~

Kakashi had already met up with some people he chose to accompany him on (Name)'s rescue. He told them once they've gathered their gear to meet at the front gates of the village. Before Kakashi went there himself though, he had to make a stop somewhere to see someone. He knocked on the door and waited patiently for the door to open. Kakashi was at Iruka's apartment where Naruto has been for the past two days. Iruka opened the door and was pushed out the way by a frantic Naruto.

"Spiky Baka! Thank God you're here! Nee-chan has been acting weird since she dropped me off at the academy yesterday and she just disappeared! She sent me with Iruka-sensei to get dinner but when we got back the door was opened with nobody inside! What's going on, do you know where she is?! Is she okay?! Is she hurt?! Or-" Naruto was rambling on as he panicked but Kakashi knelt down to him and ruffled his hair.

"Don't you worry about (Name), Naruto. I won't lie to you because in order to be a strong ninja you need to be able to learn and accept the hard truth. Your sister is in trouble and was taken away. But I promise I'm going to save her and bring her back. Five of the most intelligent and strongest ninja of this village and myself are going to go after her. We won't come back without her with us. But I need you to stay strong. Whatever happens to your sister or me, you need to keep moving forward and getting stronger. You made a promise to her you'd be Hokage, right? Keep it no matter what." Kakashi says while standing back up and walking away.

"K-Kakashi! Don't you dare die before you can see me become Hokage and grow into the strongest ninja in the world. I'll keep my promise! Believe it!" Naruto said while trying to hold back his tears, with determination written all over his face. Kakashi turned around to Naruto and smiled.

"Alright then, I promise." He waved before he disappeared. Iruka was crying next to Naruto, emotionally moved by Kakashi's words to Naruto and the moment the two shared.

"Naruto! After classes today let's go eat Ramen! My treat! Have as many toppings and bowls as you want!" Iruka said still emotional. Naruto's face lit up with joy.

"Really?! Awesome! You're the best Iruka-sensei!"

~ Time skip ~

Kakashi appeared at the front gates of the village, standing before four other men. These men were no other than Itachi, Gai, Asuma, and Yamato.

"Looks like everyone is here. Good, now I can fill you all in on the details of the rescue. Uzumaki Tora (Name) has been taken away from the village, convinced we are hiding secrets from her which is not the case. We need to save her from a masked man named Tobi, and he has the Sharingan, which we could use Itachi's abilities and skills if we ever run into any trouble with it. His goal is to recruit (Name) into his organization and make her go rogue. Besides the Sharingan, he is able to slip through objects so always be on guard. I will summon Pakkun so he can trace (Name) and follow her scent. Be ready for any and all battles, along with traps. They'll do anything to prevent us from reaching her. To make matters worse, she is still recovering from her past injuries so we need to make sure she doesn't get hurt at all. Does everyone understand the situation." Kakashi asks everyone to make sure they got everything he said.

"Understood, Captain." Itachi and Yamato said.

"I got it, and I will help think of a plan on the way to finding (Name) just so we can make this rescue as smooth as possible." Asuma said while putting out a cigarette.

"Don't worry Kakashi! The springtime of youth will shine on us today and we will get your future wife back!" Gai smiles while giving the nice guy pose. Kakashi puts on a poker face when he hears Gai call (Name) his future wife. It didn't sound bad to him but he needed to focus on rescuing her first.

"Alright then, let's begin." Kakashi then bit his thumb and started forming some hand signs. "Summoning no Jutsu!" He yells as he slams his hand on the ground. A small dog appeared from the smoke.

"What's going on Kakashi? Need my help with something?" Pakkun says while tilting his head.

"I need you to trace (Name)'s scent, we need your help in order to rescue her. Can you find her with this?" Kakashi pulled out an old bandage with your blood on it. He got it on the way to the front gates, in your apartment, in the trash can in your room.

"It's not that strong since it's kind of old but I can still get a grasp of her scent." Pakkun said as he sniffed the bandage then walked around to see if he could find it. "I got it, Kakashi but she's pretty far. We need to move now before I lose the scent."

"Right, let's move!" The group disappeared and reappeared jumping through trees in the forest. Pakkun was in front followed by Kakashi, Gai, Itachi, Asuma, and lastly at the end Yamato.

"(Name), hang on. I promised Naruto I'd bring you home. I won't let that man put anymore lies in your head to deceive you. I'll protect you no matter what." Kakashi thought as the group continued onward, moving farther away from the Leaf Village.
