Kakashi had been running through the winter like forest, but not with the team he had put together to find you. He was with Naruto and Yamato, following the Hidden Cloud ninja so Naruto could speak to the Raikage. He wanted to convince the Raikage that Sasuke is being manipulated by Tobi, and possibly convince him into forgiving Sasuke.

Naruto tried to convince Kakashi to continue the mission to save his sister, but he couldn't. Due to the sudden dismissal of Tsunade's title of Hokage and Danzo being named the new 6th Hokage, Kakashi's plan to save (Name) was stopped before he could even start it. They tried reasoning with Danzo, mentioning that (Name) was also an important Jinchuuriki that the Akatsuki had been tracking down but Danzo only dismissed the idea.

~ Earlier in the day ~

"Lord Hokage, please reconsider the mission to rescue (Name). She just gave birth to a baby and is currently defenseless against the enemy that is holding her captive. If the Akatsuki manage to find her, they will kill her for the tailed beast sealed within her." Shikaku spoke, trying to reason with Danzo even though he had no respect for him. Kakashi and Shikamaru were beside him as Danzo was preparing to leave for the Kage summit.

"(Name) does not hold a real tailed beast within her. Right now we need to focus on the protection of the village, she can wait. (Name) is a strong-willed ninja from the Land of Fire, she will live." Danzo spoke before leaving the village gates with his guards, leaving Kakashi clenching his fists in frustration. As they walked away, Shikaku cursed under his breath.

"I'm sorry, Kakashi. But if we do anything without his permission we're done for. Do you think (Name) can hold out long enough until we can save her?" Shikaku spoke as he stopped and watched Kakashi. Kakashi just stood and looked up to the 4th Hokage's stone face as he remembered his sensei's words.

'Take care of (Name)...' Minato's voice echoed in Kakashi head until he finally responded to Shikaku.

"(Name) is one of the strongest ninja I know. Even if she's weak from childbirth, she will keep on fighting until she's reunited with Rai again." Kakashi smiled at Shikaku and Shikamaru, giving them some ease. They continued walking until they reached the tent Tsunade had been resting in. Shizune and Sakura never left Tsunade's side, not even for a second. They had to protect her in case Danzo wanted to ensure a more permanent position as the Hokage. Shizune had been gently rocking Rai as he slept in her arms. Fortunately, Rai did not have any injuries and was completely healthy. Kakashi sat beside Shizune as he took his son in his arms. Rai snuggled closer to Kakashi, sensing his father's will to protect him.

"You're a heavy sleeper just like your mother." Kakashi smiled as he watched Rai softly snore in his arms. Shizune smiled sadly as she felt terrible that a newborn baby like Rai was put in a situation where he could have lost both of his parents.

"Did you manage to convince Danzo?" Shizune asked with curiosity. She wished nothing more than (Name) to return to her son. Kakashi shook his head no in response.

"He simply said she's a strong ninja and will live... I can't accept that answer." Kakashi spoke as he passed Rai back to Shizune, which resulted in Rai waking up. He was about to cry until Kakashi rested his hand on Rai's chest and smiled at his son.

"Forgive me, Rai. I know all you want is to be with your mother and I, that's why I have to save mommy no matter what. Just for a little longer, can you be strong for me?" Kakashi smiled as he poked his son's cheek. Rai calmed down and started sucking on his fingers. Kakashi sweat dropped as he got up.

"Kakashi-sensei, please don't tell me-" Sakura spoke but was cut off by Kakashi as he put his finger to his mouth.

"I'm just gonna check on Naruto." Kakashi winked as he left the tent. Sakura could only nod in response and hope her sensei will be safe in whatever he does.

Kakashi continued to walk until he noticed Yamato approaching him. They both continued to walk to Naruto's tent as they exchanged glances and nodded to each other. It was time to head out to meet the Raikage before he reached the Five Kage Summit.

~ Time Skip ~

You slowly woke up, barely able to move as you felt pain all over your body. You felt weaker than before as you struggled to even sit up. As you checked your surroundings, you noticed you were still in the cage but had black chain markings all over your body. The last thing you remembered was Satoru's fist before you blacked out.

"This must be his doing..." you thought as you winced in pain. You slowly pushed yourself to a corner of the cage and used it to keep you sitting up. You were breathing heavily as you noticed it wasn't just your chakra being sealed that made you weak, but you were also starving and dehydrated. Your dry mouth and rumbling stomach only told you as much. You began to shiver as you realized that you were only wearing a ripped, dirty dress in a room that resembled a cave. You slowly felt sad as it only reminded you of the conditions you had brought Akira back to when you had to re-chain her in order to secure Rai's survival.

"Karma's... a bitch..." you chuckled slowly as you held your stomach. After a while of sitting in the cold, feeling your eyes grow heavy and tired, the walls opened as the bright light hurt your eyes.

As you slowly adjusted, you noticed Satoru walk in with a rather neutral face. Three others walked behind him as he stepped aside and bowed. All you could see was two men wearing Leaf ninja headbands and an old man using a cane making his way towards your cage. You recognized the old man as you remembered he was part of the council that had assigned your mission back when the Third Hokage was still alive. You remembered that look of disgust in his face as he watched you, he still had the look in his eyes as he just watched you struggle to stay conscious. The only difference between now and then was that he was wearing a sinister smile.

"D..Danzo..."

"(Name), it seems we have crossed paths yet again. However, this time we hold different ranks than before." Danzo spoke with confidence as he looked down at you. You kept watching Satoru, wondering why he was being rather submissive then aggressive like before. You returned your attention to Danzo as you noticed the Hokage hat resting at his side. You frowned at the sight of it and could sense his malicious intent.

"What happened... to the Leaf..." you struggled to speak as your dehydration limited you along with your soreness. Danzo smirked as he noticed your rage build up.

"As expected, the Akatsuki arrived and destroyed the Leaf Village under the care of Tsunade. We were lucky that your brother, Uzumaki Naruto, had defeated Pain and saved all the villagers from death. We suffered no casualties if that's what you desperately want to hear. However, due to Tsunade's recklessness and foolish ideals, she has fallen into a coma, leaving her unfit to lead the village as Hokage. Leaving me the opportunity to finally take what was rightfully mine to begin with." Danzo smiled as he enjoyed watching you, helpless to even retaliate. This is how he thought every Jinchuuriki needed to be kept.

"N.. No one... will ever follow... a traitor... like you..." you grunted as you suddenly felt your body burn. Your chains started glowing red as you felt your eyes change green. Danzo only chuckled as he opened the cage and had his men drag you out and throw you under him. You slowly looked up and glared at Danzo. He striked you in the head with his cane, causing you to fall back as blood started dripping down to your face.

"You do not understand the risks I had to take in order to finally have things set right. I've longed planned to take the position of Hokage and take control over you as a means for military power. You're not a real Jinchuuriki, you're just the spawn of a lab rat from the Mist. You never belonged in the Leaf Village, you're an outsider. And now you will obey me as you only owe me as much for allowing you to live in the first place. Had it not been for the fact you held a great power, I would've killed you the moment you were brought into this world." Danzo said before he kicked you in the stomach, causing you to scream before you passed out from the pain.

"Seal her away, and make haste. We do not want to be late for the Kage summit." Danzo spoke as he made his way out of the cave.

"Lord Danzo, shall we also dispose of Satoru?" One of the men spoke as the other pulled out a scroll and sealed you inside of it. Danzo stopped before Satoru and revealed his other eye, the stolen Sharingan eye he had taken from Uchiha Shisui. Satoru was under Danzo's control and let him manipulate his desires to be with Hikairi, believing Danzo could bring her back to life by using (Name).

"You have served your purpose, Satoru. Now I shall grant you your wish and reunite you with the love of your life once more." Danzo said, slicing Satoru's neck in the process with a kunai knife. Satoru dropped to the ground as he was slowly surrounded by a pool of his own blood. Danzo scoffed as he walked away with his men, taking the scroll that had you sealed away in his possession. Failing to notice he had an audience watching the entire time, camouflaged to the ceiling.

~ Time Skip ~

Currently, Kakashi was keeping Uchiha Madara at bay with Lighting Blade, ready to strike him at any moment as Yamato stood in front of Naruto. He kept Naruto in a wooden cage away from Madara's grasp as he also subdued him with his wood style jutsu.

Madara had just finished his conversation with Naruto about Sasuke. Telling him Itachi's background and how Sasuke planned on getting revenge by destroying the Leaf. Crushing Naruto's spirits in the process. But before he made his departure, there was still one thing he had to address.

"On a more interesting note, I came to give you a warning, Naruto." He looked directly at Naruto as he was ready to deal another heavy blow to him. Kakashi only frowned as he anticipated Madara mentioning you to Naruto.

"I know the whereabouts of your sister, Uzumaki Tora (Name). Plans have already been brought into action to ensure she's in the Akatsuki's possession by the end of today." Naruto's eyes widened as he felt his anger rise. Kakashi was also shocked to hear that he was well aware of (Name)'s disappearance.

"Don't you dare lay your filthy hands on my sister! If you hurt her I swear-!"

"What will you do for her? Will you go as far as deserting your village? Will you avenge your sister if I kill her? Or rather, will you kill Sasuke if he was the one to strike her down? She is a crucial piece of Itachi's suffering." Madara questioned as he knew he had the upper hand. Naruto froze as he realized what he was feeling. The thought of losing his precious sister... it would drive him down the path of revenge just like Sasuke.

"Naruto would never do something like that! (Name) won't go down without a fight either! They both won't fall so easily into your cycle of hatred." Kakashi spoke up, trying to provide some hope as he realized what Naruto was thinking as he turned pale.

"You are one to talk, Sharingan Kakashi. Not too long ago, you threatened to kill me when (Name) was in my grasp. What makes you think you won't do it again?" Madara looked back to Kakashi as he spoke, taunting him. Kakashi could only frown as he knew it was true. He knew that he would kill for you.

"If I can't get my hands on the Kyuubi, then the fabrication of the all the Tailed Beasts chakra combined is enough to reach our goals.  Remember my words, Naruto. It's either you, or her." Madara chuckled as he watched Naruto clench his fist, angered by the thought of having his sister at risk.

"Bastard!" Naruto yelled in rage. Kakashi stepped back so he could hit Madara with Lighting Blade. There was no way he would allow you to fall into the Akatsuki's grasp again. However, he stopped as he realized Madara was teleporting, afraid of being sucked in as well, he stayed back.

"Our conversation... was quite fun. So long." With his parting words, Madara had vanished. He had successfully broke Naruto's spirits in ever saving his best friend or his sister. Naruto had a sad expression as he focused on the ground. He could only think about you and Sasuke.

"Sasuke... Nee-chan..."
