~ To (Name) ~

You opened your eyes and found yourself leaning on someone while facing the sunset. Your heart dropped when the setting felt too familiar. You sat up and quickly looked at who you were leaning on. Tears fell from your widened eyes due to shock. Jiraiya was sitting beside you, smiling towards the sunset.

"Sensei, how-"

"You're not doing too well with keeping your promise, (Name). I expected better from you." Jiraiya said while chuckling.

"But, I know I could've done something to prevent this... but I didn't and now you're gone..." Jiraiya sighed and looked at you. You were silently crying while wiping your tears away. Jiraiya flicked you in the forehead, leaving a red mark as it stung you.

"OW!! What was that for Baka-sensei?!" You said as you got irritated but then stopped as you realized Jiraiya was laughing while looking beside him. You couldn't see what he was looking at.

"(Name), you've survived worse situations than my passing. I expected both of you to react this way. You and Naruto were always soft... but this time, I need you to build your strength. There are many people depending on you. Including this little guy..." you were confused until you saw Jiraiya pick up a silver-haired baby. Your eyes widened as you looked down and noticed you weren't pregnant.

"My only regret is not surviving long enough to get to know my grandkids. He looks too much like Kakashi!" Jiraiya said while laughing causing the baby to smile. You looked at the baby as he was reaching for you while giggling. You smiled and let him grab your finger.

"Don't fall apart... You have way too much on the line, understand? Now that I'm gone you have to take care of Naruto and guild him. I know he's on a thin line between keeping his ninja way or choosing revenge."

You were also considering revenge but you crossed it out of your mind because it was irrational. But that didn't mean the pain you felt went away.

"I'm sorry, Jiraiya-sensei... I let you down..."

"You didn't let me down, (Name). But you will if I see you in the next life, you hear me, you knucklehead!" Jiraiya said while ruffling your hair. You smiled as you looked up to see Jiraiya smiling.

"I have to get going, Minato and the others must be waiting for me. Take care of this little one, and I'll watch him from above." Jiraiya said as he passed the baby boy to you. He snuggled closer to you as he slowly shut his eyes and fell asleep. You couldn't help but feel more confident now that you had a glimpse at motherhood. Jiraiya stood up and started walking away towards the sunset. You watched him, sad that he had to go. Suddenly, he turned around with curiosity in his face.

"By the way, did you have a name for him yet?"

Your eyes widened as you looked at the baby then back to Jiraiya. You smiled as you held him closer and smiled at your sensei.

"Well, I was unsure before. But now, I think I'd like to name him after someone who believed in him before he was even born."

Jiraiya's eyes widened as he started to glow. Tears started to form in his eyes before you got up with the baby.

"His name will be Rai, and I hope he becomes a great man like my Jiraiya-sensei."

Jiraiya had a wide grin as he was beginning to fade into the light.

"Thank you, (Name)... you've inspired me to write another book. That is, right after I finishing writing the sequel to my other one first!"

Jiraiya vanished as the sun had set. You smiled as you noticed your baby bump return and rubbed it. You sat back down and closed your eyes as everything faded back to black.

~ Leaf Village Hospital ~

Kakashi had been beside you for the entire day. Ever since he brought you to the hospital the night before, he hasn't moved or slept. The only time he wasn't there was due to the nurse's kicking him out, which led him to see Naruto and Shikamaru and help solve the message Jiraiya left behind. Even though he was told you and the baby were alright, he felt that it's only right for him to be here for you when you wake up.

Kakashi had been sitting on the window while reading Icha Icha, waiting for you to wake up. He sighed as he watched the sun set and night fall. He looked at you and wished he had done more for you when you needed him.

Then suddenly you start shifting and slowly opened your eyes. Kakashi quickly got up and ran to the side of the bed.

"(Name)... (Name), are you alright?" Kakashi spoke as he softly caressed your cheek. You were squinting as your eyes adjusted to the bright lights of the room.

"Kakashi...? Where am I...?" You said as Kakashi slowly sat you up.

"You're in the hospital... you fainted from exhaustion after you found Naruto..." you looked at Kakashi and sighed as your head was throbbing. Then it hit you. If you fainted what does that mean for the baby? You could've landed on your stomach and easily hurt him. Kakashi noticed you started to panic and grabbed your hands.

"What's wrong, (Name)?"

"T-The baby... is he o-okay?" With a pleading gaze, you tightened your grip holding his hands. Kakashi sighed and kissed your forehead while giving you a reassuring smile.

"The baby is fine... when you fainted, I caught you before you could even hit the ground. I admit I was worried about it myself but the nurse informed me. Our little boy is still alive and kicking."

You smiled when suddenly, you felt the baby react to Kakashi's voice and started kicking. Your eyes widened as you placed your hand on your stomach, searching for the kick.

"(Name)?"

"Kakashi, gimme your hand." You spoke softly as Kakashi looked at you questionably. You placed his hand on your stomach and smiled at him.

"Okay, do me a favor and say 'Rai'." You whispered, excited to see what would happen.

"Um, Rai? Who's Rai?" Then it hit Kakashi as he felt kicking coming from your large baby bump. His eyes widened as he smiled and hugged you while keeping his hand on your stomach.

"He's been kicking for a while but you haven't been around to experience it... I always talk about you so I'm guessing little Rai here is happy you're around." You smiled as you held Kakashi's hand on your stomach. He sighed and brought his head closer to your stomach.

"Sorry, I'll make up for the time we lost... Rai? When did we decide on his name?" Kakashi said while standing back up to speak to you. You remembered your vivid 'dream' and lowered your head.

"I had a dream... that Jiraiya came back one last time to lecture me and... he was holding our baby, Kakashi. I... was so happy to see our little boy in his arms smiling... Jiraiya reminded me that I had to stay strong for his sake... just before he left he asked me for his name and... I thought he should be named... Rai, after the Legendary Toad Sage and Sannin of the Leaf, Jiraiya..." you spoke as tears fell from your eyes. Kakashi wiped away your tears and smiled at you.

"It's a fitting name for him, but do you mind if I added a middle name?" You smiled and chuckled lightly as you wiped away the remaining tears on your face.

"Of course, I did decide on his name without consulting with you."

"Then how about... Hatake Sakumo Rai? My father's name to give him something he can reflect on whenever he asks about the meaning of his name." You noticed a faint blush appear on Kakashi's face. You couldn't help but smile and kiss his cheek.

"It's a wonderful name."

~ Time Skip ~

"Then, let us go. (Name)-girl, are you prepared with everything you need?" Fukasaku asked as you checked your bag for basic necessities. Tsunade had agreed with Jiraiya's wishes but asked you to remain in Mount Myoboku in case the Akatsuki came to the village. You only agreed because you had to keep your baby safe at all costs.... you just wished that didn't mean leaving Kakashi and the others behind.

"Yes, Fukasaku-sama. I have everything I need, thank you for letting me stay at your home. I appreciate it so much."

"Please, you're my student as well. You're always welcomed. It's also what Jiraiya-boy wanted. Now, say your goodbyes you two."

"I'm off! Shikamaru, I'm counting on you with the code." Naruto smiled to Shikamaru as he only nodded and returned the smile.

"Don't worry about us." Shikamaru replied.

"Please stay safe. If you ever need Naruto or have more information that you need to get to us in a hurry, don't hesitate to contact me through Kimi-chan."

"I will also leave the messenger frog behind. If there's anything, give it to him as well." Fukasaku said to Tsunade while exchanging serious expressions. You only sighed because again you were being protected while your friends were at risk. Your options were limited due to the fact you can't fight unless you wanted to risk losing the baby. You looked over to Kakashi, he was still holding onto your hand almost like he never would be able to again. Kakashi looked back at you with sadness in his eyes.

"Kakashi... promise me something?"

"Anything..."

"Please take care of yourself... for mine and Rai's sake..." you pleaded to him. Kakashi pulled you into a hug and whispered in your ear.

"I promise..." you exhaled in relief, as it only brought a little bit of reassurance to you.

"Good luck, Naruto!" Sakura said while holding her fist up to Naruto. She shyly turned to you and smiled. "Please take care of yourself as well, (Name)-sensei."

You didn't like Sakura most of the time but you couldn't help but get a sense of nostalgia from her. She reminded you too much of your mother, Kushina... but not in a good way. You shivered as you remembered all the times that Kushina scolded you. But Sakura was Naruto's teammate and crush along with Kakashi's student, so you had to start showing her some type of kindness.

"Thank you, Sakura. Do your best!" You said as you smiled at her. Sakura's eyes lit up while a faint blush appeared. She smiled and nodded back.

"Alright, let's go!" Naruto said as he started walking ahead of you and Fukasaku. You were sweat-dropping as you realized Naruto never knew the method you had to use to get to Mount Myoboku. Naruto stopped and looked back at everyone with a silly expression.

"By the way, which way is Mount Myoboku?" You face-palmed yourself, one factor you forgot was that Naruto could be really clueless half the time.

"Pipsqueak, to walk to Mount Myoboku is impossible unless you know the secret passage to get there. Either way, it takes almost a month if we walked, and I'm way too pregnant to be doing all that walking."

"It's hard to get there..." Naruto pouted from the thought of it. Fukasaku sighed as he reached for a scroll.

"Naruto-boy... You and your sister already signed a binding contract with us toads. There's no need to fret." Fukasaku said as he showed Naruto the contract he signed before with Jiraiya. You smiled as you noticed your name beside Naruto and Jiraiya's signatures.

"Well then, I'll be borrowing him and taking care of (Name)-girl now." Fukasaku said as he made the scroll disappear. You exchanged one last look with Kakashi before mouthing 'I love you' to him. He smiled and said it back.

"Hey, what do you mean, there's no need to worry-" Naruto quickly disappeared as the reverse summoning was performed on him.

"Good luck on your end." Fukasaku said before he disappeared as well with the reverse summoning. You sighed as you let go of Kakashi's hand, performed the jutsu on yourself, and disappeared. Kakashi frowned as he saw the smoke clear up.

"I hope this all ends soon, so I can be with you and Rai..." Kakashi thought to himself before he walked back with the others.

~ To Mount Myoboku ~

As you arrived at Mount Myoboku, the Land of the Toad, you noticed Naruto and Fukasaku walking back to his home for dinner. Suddenly, you got sick to your stomach, remembering the food you had to eat here for your training before. Gamakichi was beside you and smiled.

"I was asked to let you use me as a means to get around, by the elders. Hop on." Gamakichi said as he lowered his head and gently brought you to the top of his head to sit. You laughed and smile.

"Thank you, Gamakichi. It's very sweet and kind of you to be doing this for me."

Gamakichi blushed and grinned as he walked behind Naruto and Fukasaku.

"My pleasure! What can I say I'm a generous toad."

~ To Fukasaku and Shima's home ~

Naruto's face turned pale as he was sitting in front of a table full of insect dishes. You sweatdropped as you sat beside him. 

"Now, eat up! I went all out to prepare this meal!" Shima said with excitement while bringing more dishes to the table. She brought you rice, knowing well it would not be good for the baby if you started eating insects... since that was the excuse you told her.

"T-Thank you for the meal..." Naruto said as he tried to hold back his vomit. You nearly vomited yourself from just watching.

"Sorry, Naruto. But I can't go through this, I don't want Rai to start eating insects out of nowhere." You thought to yourself as you start eating the rice with vegetables. Naruto gave you a pleading look as you were eating. You sighed and passed him a rice ball so he could at least have something in his stomach. As Naruto quickly ate the rice ball, Shima was watching him like a hawk. Naruto got scared and quickly grabbed a spoon and slurped what looked like a purple substance from a bowl of insects. After forcing it down, you noticed Naruto holding his stomach.

"Oh no..."

BLAHHH!!!!!!!

Naruto had vomited.

~ Time Skip ~

You were meditating as Naruto was learning how to absorb nature energy. All you heard was Naruto getting beat by Fukasuka which made you worry but you knew this was the only effective method. Naruto always was a hands-on learner. As Naruto took a small break, he noticed you meditating and was already in Sage mode.

"Nee-chan, you already mastered Sage mode?" Naruto asked as he approached you. You opened your eyes and noticed you were in Sage mode. You quickly got out of it and smiled at Naruto.

"During that time when we left the village with Jiraiya-sensei, we always focused my training more on mastering Sage mode. Jiraiya-sensei thought I was ready to learn and that soon you would be too... It's amazing how our pervert of a sensei was almost always right." You laughed with Naruto as he smiled.

"I miss him too, Nee-chan..." Naruto said as he rested his head on your thigh and laid down. You sighed and ruffled his hair.

"He believed in us, Naruto. Especially you. I don't plan on giving up on you as long as you don't give up on me or yourself. Understood?" You said as you watched Fukasaku trying to catch his breath in the distance. Naruto stood up and faced you. He brought his thumb up and pointed it to his chest.

"If you and Pervy sage believe in me, then that's all the more reason for me not to give up!"

You blushed as you noticed Naruto glowing under the sun. 

"You've grown so much..." You thought to yourself. Then you gave him a stern look as a signal to get back to training. He understood and nodded.

"Alright, geezer sage! Let's get back to being one with nature!"

~ Secret passage to Mount Myoboku ~

A mysterious figure had approached the path that had lead to Mount Myoboku and had a sly grin on their face. They took off their hood and revealed their face. It was Kyokan, she had returned from remaining in the shadows and smirked.

"Little Kitty is going to have a kitten of her own, and she's in hiding... quite an interesting turn of events don't you agree? Satoru-kun?"

Satoru had approached Kyokan from behind while wearing a similar cloak. He smirked as other men appeared behind him.

"Interesting indeed... (Name) I think it's time for you finally come back to me, and give me what's mine."

A/N: I nearly forgot about those two.... dang they back. Who knows what they wanted at this point other than to make (Name) and Kakashi miserable. By the way, I haven't been in the best spirits lately. I have a lot going on and it's causing me to forget the inspiration I once had when I started writing here on Wattpad. Forgive me if I sound ridiculous but I'm unsure if I will keep writing or not. I had this chapter already written so I decided to publish it. Spring break is coming in a week. Hopefully, my spirits will be up. Also, I made a new cover for the book! Thank you for your support!
