Erin Suganuma POV

After myself and Shima Torayoshi escaped from South Kotomaru 2nd Junior High; we ran down a street that was the oppiset way from the direction where the gas station that exploded is. We gripped our weapons as we ran down the deserted street that is unreconcilable, from before.
Cars are abandoned, flipped over or on fire.
Buildings that are house and stores have their glass windows shattered, doors busted down and are covers in blood splatters.
And pools of blood, drag marks, or shoe prints cover the streets.

Right now Shima wanted to see if anyone from her house is still their, so we are running down the street in the early morning hours.
Then we see it. Another one of those walking corpses is hunched over the body. And based on the school uniform, it's the body of a male student from our school.

When we see the corpse it looks to have been a woman based on the blue jean jacket and yellow dress and long hair. When Shima sees the undead woman eating the boy from our school, she let's out a small shout. And that is all it took for the undead to stand up and turn her-- no! IT'S body to turn around and we see that it has it's stomach ripped open and a bite taken from it's neck. Shima gags at the sight, and I don't blame her, I swallow the bile about to come back up and grip my baseball bat and run to the moving corpse and swing the bat at it's head, killing it for good.

As it falls down dead for good, I look at the other body that was a schoolmate. He has white hair, and his gakuen jacket is open showing a black t-shirt with yellow writing on it. The body, starts to twitch so I grip my bat again, then I raise it up over my head and whispered; "I am so sorry this happened to you. May you finally rest in peace." And when the body was about to open it's eyes, I bring the bat down as hard as I can on it's head killing it in a single blow.

Once that was over, I turn to Shima and notice that a few more walking corpses are coming out from hiding. I grab her hand and run down the block, and turn down a street that has only houses.

Because of the situation, me and Shima are on garud as we look around the neighborhood, to keep an eye out for anymore of the walking corpses. Then out of no where, I hear something. It is like a wailing sound... Like a.... Baby's crying!!

Without a word, I run to the sound with Shima not far behide me. I soon arrive at a normal looking house, that looks to have not been hit by this outbreak. Until I look in the drive way, and I see a large pool of blood that is not far from a parked car, where the crying is coming from.

I jog to the car and I see the windows are cracked open but in the back seat of the car their is a baby in a car seat with a baby bag as well.
I glance at the pool of blood to see a discarded woman's shoe near it, but a hand bag is laying in the pool. It doesn't take a genius to guess what happened to the baby's mother...

The car is unlocked so I open the door and grab the baby who calms down once it see's me. And I say it, because I don't know if it is a boy or a girl. The baby is wearing a yellow onesie and has short hair.

I grab the baby's diaper bag and walk to Shima who tells me only one of the corpses showed up and she dealt with it. I glance at the body and I see an man who looks like he was in his 50's and has a bite taken from his arm.

I glance back at Shima to see she has taken off her sky blue jersey, and covered the baby with it. I glance at her and she has made a makeshift baby carry on, then she hands me the diaper bag which I place on my right shoulder but is hanging on my left side. I then hand her her shovel and she nods in agreement.

Before we left the area I glance at the pool of blood and remember the corpse we saw earlier eating that student... Don't tell me, was that the baby's mother.... I glance at the baby and I can see that it and the woman has the same hair color, nose and chin.....

I snapped out of my thoughts when I hear a scream from down the block. Me and Shima meet each other's eyes, then we both start running off to the source of the scream.

It only took us a couple of minutes to reach the next block, and once there, we see a teenage girl a couple years older than us using a baseball on a small group of zombies.

The girl has bubble him pink hair that is tied in a hair bun, gold and brown eyes, tan skin, is wearing a red school jersey that is similar to mine, a blue uniform skirt, and red school indoor shoes. The girl is standing before a man who has the same bubble gum pink hair as hair, but he has pale skin and ice blue eyes. He looks too old to be a older brother, so maybe her father.

The man is wearing an chef's outfit and white apron. But what caught my eyes is the bite mark on his right arm.

Without thinking, I ran to help the girl out from the undead. It doesn't take us much time, to kill all the zombies in the area. Once all the zombies were killed, the girl turns to me and thanks me for helping her out. Then her eyes land on Shima and the baby, with confusion clear on her face.

"The baby is not mine. Not is the baby a family member to either of us. The little one was inside a car, but the mother was killed by the undead." Shima some up as she tries not to cry at how the baby is so young and probably will not even know who was their mother.

We hear a nasty cough and the three of us look at adult, as he starts coughing up blood. The girl runs to the man as she calls out to him as her father.

He tells her to be strong, and find her cousin. Some guy; named Takashi. After that he tells the girl, that he loves her and will always be with her. The man takes out a gun and tell us all to leave as the noise had started to bring more of the undead out of their hiding places.

The girl grabs my arm and tells me and Shima to come with her to safety, as to meet with her cousin at the Eastern Police Station. With, silent nods the three of us run away, after the have her father one last hug and kisses his cheek as they said goodbye.

Once we were two blocks away from the man, a single gunshot is heard. We all stop running, since the street is completely bare of any life.

She turns to me and Shima and asked for our names. "My name is Erin Suganuma and this is Shima Torayoshi; were both third-years from South Kotomaru Junior High School. And you are?" I asked the girl, she gave a half smirk and says " Nice to meet ya. My name is Aoi Sakura and I am a second-year from Ishikawa Senior Academy. "
