New School, New Friends, Part 2
Griselda rolls her eyes. "You got lucky this time young lady. But, make one mistake, and I might consider sending you back to Earth. " She threatened.
"Please don't send me back there . . . My mom regrets adopting me just because I like different people than she does . . . I need to find my real parents, and find out where I'm from." Bloom admitted.
Griselda's face softens, a rare occurrence. "Alright, tell me your name again?" She requested.
"Bloom, of Earth." She said, since the other fairies had said their planet name
"Welcome to Alfea Bloom, of Earth. This school will be your home for the next five years. BUT! This home can cease to be yours at any moment. The rules of this institution are based on discipline. Disregard these rules and I shall personally escort you to the front gate! This is NOT a magicians' school. You're not here to learn hocus pocus. Consequentially, you may not use your powers in the hallways or other common areas. In fact, the only place where you may display your powers is in your classroom under teachers' supervision. Is that CLEAR, Princess Stella? Thanks to you and your antics, the potion laboratory will not be accessible until next month at the earliest! Now I think you know what NOT to do if you wish to stay? Eh? Hmph!" Griselda explained.
"You did all that?" Bloom asked, giggling lightly
"My father paid for all the damages, and it's my dream to open a boutique someday, so I was trying to learn how to invent different shades of pink for different fabrics." Stella explained with a smile.
Faragonda, Palladium, Wizgiz, and Dufour come out to meet the students.
"Sorry I'm late. I hope you'll excuse me." Faragonda admitted, already sounding more kind than Griselda.
"Ladies and gentlemen, here comes your Headmistress. Attention!" Griselda commanded.
"Eh, really! There's no need to be so stodgy! I hope Ms. Griselda hasn't frightened you too much! Welcome to Alfea, the best Fairy School in the whole of Magix! Mind you, it's also the only one. Come on in, ladies and gentlemen!"
Faragonda leads the new students into the main entrance. "Here we are! And so we begin our orientation session. By the end, at which, we should all know each other better. Becoming a fairy is hard work, but I know that everyone here can do it. Keep in mind that the teachers and I are always here to help you. Okay, enough with the boring stuff. Feel free to explore your surroundings, but be very careful. There are dangers lurking about." She warned.
" 'Stay away from the Witches of Cloud Tower!' Heehee! Listen, that's what's coming up!" Stella whispered, imitating Faragonda.
"Stay away from the Witches of Cloud Tower!" Faragonda warned, just like Stella had said.
"All right, speeches are over! Everyone's dismissed, you're free until dinnertime!" Griselda said, letting the students go.
"Good luck, everybody! I'll see you all tomorrow. Oh! And classes start at 8:00 sharp. Do be punctual!" Faragonda said, smiling as she walked away.
"You'll like Headmistress Faragonda. She always says the same thing, but she's really nice." Stella admitted, starting to walk to the apartment with Bloom.
"Who are the witches of Cloud Tower?" Bloom asked curiously.
"Magix has three schools. Ours is one, there's the Red Fountain School of Specialists, that's where the squad guys go, finally, there's the Witches School of Cloud Tower." Stella explained, smiling at her crush, still not sure what to tell her.
"Witches? Wow..."Bloom said, suddenly realizing that the dangerous fairytale creatures existed.
"Yeah, well, better steer clear of them."Stella said, gently squeezing Bloom's hand. "Hey look! We're in the same apartment! Cool! That's my room over there, the same one I has last year." She exclaimed, excited when she saw their names on the list.
"You've got a room all to yourself? Wow, lucky you. I've got a roommate!" Bloom admitted, walking into Stella's single room with her. She decided to check our her room and accidentally stepped on a vine, gasping.
"Yeow! Ouch!" The talking plant exclaimed.
"Oh, sorry." Bloom said, worried that she did something wrong.
"No, excuse me! I just got here and I left my things all over the floor. This is a talking plant, one of my creations. My name is Flora!" She exclaimed, gently tickling the plant to calm it down.
"Well, I'll just let you and your magic plant get settled..." Bloom said nervously, walking backwards. "Oh!" She exclaimed, accidentally bumping into a girl with short purple hair.
"Walking backwards is irrational. I'm Tecna." The girl admitted.
"Hi, Tecna! I'm Stella." Stella said with a smile, walking next to Bloom.
"And I'm Flora." The brunette girl added.
"Hey! I think I have a roommate. Is it one of you?" Tecna asked
"That's me. I'm Musa." The blue haired girl with ponytails said, walking into the apartment.
"Hey, anybody hungry? We could go to Magix City for dinner." Stella suggested.
"Cool! We can get to know each other." Flora said, liking the idea.
"That sounds really nice." Bloom admitted, blushing slightly, liking the idea of getting to know Stella more. "Anyone for pizza?" She suggested.
"Pizza?" Musa asked, not knowing what it was.
"What's pizza?" Flora asked curiously.
"You know... pizza." Bloom said, trying to form a triangle shape with her hands, walking to the bus with her friends.
"When we get to Magix I need to call home to let my dad know that I'm okay. My phone hasn't worked since we arrived at Alfea, and I don't want him to worry." Bloom admitted.
"Let's eat at the White Horse, and I'll see how I can help. Based on my research, pizza is a dish on Earth made from a bread like substance called crust, sauce made from tomatoes, cheese, and other toppings. The café should have have something similar. " Tecna admitted, getting off the bus with her friends.
"Thank you Tecna." Bloom said with a smile, sitting next to Stella.
"The White Horse rocks!" Musa admitted, sitting next to Flora and Tecna.
"Alright, now let me see your phone." Tecna said, wanting to fix it.
"Thank you Tec" Bloom said, handing her the flip phone, proud that it was the newest model.
"I'm very good at electrionic stuff." Tecna admitted, starting to laugh.
"Tecna, what's so funny?" Musa asked curiously.
"This thing is prehistoric technology! Where did you get that thing?"Tecna asked, looking back to Bloom.
"But, it's the most recent model!" Bloom complained, feeling a little hurt.
"That wasn't cool Tecna. On Earth, their cars, bikes, and scooters don't fly yet. The only reason Earth isn't up to date, is because we thought Earth fairies had stopped existing." Stella explained.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have laughed that was rude!" Tecna said, feeling a little guilty.
"It's alright Tec." Bloom said, before finding a phone booth to call her dad at.
"Hello? Bloom?" Mike asked, relieved when he heard the phone ring.
"Hi, Dad! Everything is great! Alfea is wonderful and I'm sharing an apartment with Stella and three other girls. No, courses start tomorrow morning. But don't worry, I'll keep you posted, alright?" Bloom asked, getting distracted as she saw Knut. "I won't forget I promise! Um, Dad, I've got to go now my friends are calling me. I love you! Bye!" She said, quickly hanging up the phone, starting to follow Knut.
"It's that ogre that attacked us in Gardenia!" Bloom exclaimed worriedly. "He's watching my friends!" She exclaimed, quickly ducking out of view. "Where is he now? I must find him!" Bloom said, starting to sneak around, to hopefully find out why he was spying on them.
