Chapter 1 - A bit infatuated
"Where shall we go, Darcy?" Noah said, grasping her arm in his hand.
He wasn't alone. They had wandered somewhere at the deep end of a forest, and Noah faced her, his stoic expression stood out with half of the shadow casted onto him.
"Where, you asked?" Darcy gazed into his eyes then looking down and contemplating.
Her 11 pm curfew passed. She knew that she shouldn't be here with him despite all other's warning, but that desire was strong like a magnetic pull. She had been secretly with him and pushed away any second thoughts.
"Are you sure this is okay?" she asked.
He leaned closer to her, their foreheads touching each other and synchronization of their eyes locking. Although the dark shadows dimmed parts of their faces, they could read each others' expression.
He pondered the good things he had right now. She held a special meaning to his life, so much so that he went through great troubles for her.
"You are the one to hold every part of me," Noah reminded her, planting a small kiss on her forehead.
Darcy gazed at him with an alluring look and then she smiled. By just that simple gesture, she looked convinced that he would assure her safety.
Even if he wasn't the one, to her he was just good enough. "Okay." She nodded.
"Where to?"
"How about... Frozen Bliss? I really like some Frozen Yogurt," she replied, simpering right after.
"Done." Her wish would be his command. He lifted his head up, backed a few feet away, and then stood straight. "Do you want to walk there or shall we fly?"
"Oh no." A small chuckle emitted from her mouth, but her thoughts were on about how she did not want to go through the sensation of her heart pulsing from being elevated in the sky. "Let's just walk," she suggested.
"Alright." Noah gestured his hand out towards her.
Darcy took his hand and they intertwined their fingers together, taking a stroll until they reached to town.
They enjoyed their yogurts shortly. Darcy explained what had happened to her the other night that she may have been involved in something that she shouldn't, and he listened.
"And then me and Sasha got away," she told him and then shoved a spoonful of frozen yogurt into her mouth.
"You two should be careful the next time," Noah said concernedly.
"Okay," she said as she ate another spoonful of frozen yogurt.
"You know that I mean that." He glanced at her with a peculiar gaze.
"I know." She nodded to herself, reassured.
It looked as though they were having a casual but serious conversation throughout their time, planning about what they should do next.
"This is just the beginning, but remember what happens."
"Yeah... I know."
Watching entirely of the last few minutes of the ending of the episode, and soon enough, the preview showed up, which gave me a glimpse of next week's episode.
"Don't touch me."
"I know what I want."
"You think you're right?"
"What if this is all a fail?"
"It won't."
The commercial appeared on the television screen afterward, and I finished tonight's new episode. Which, by the way, woohoo! I was waiting for Tuesday's night worth of it.
"Ahh, this show is good. I can't wait for the next one," I said with a small smile creeping onto my face.
The second season of this series was becoming more intense within each episode. The first season was spectacular as well but getting amazingly better. I couldn't understand why I was so attracted to it but I was. I noticed a huge character development with this character. Talking specifically about Noah, he showed more of his softer side. I didn't like too much of his character in the beginning, but then I started to understand more about him which then kept me interested.
I was also including the plot and the only words I could express was just wow all over.
Just the clock on the wall brought me back to this reality as it told me the time to go to bed. I grabbed the remote control from the coffee table and clicked the switch to power off the TV. Stretching my arms out for a little bit, I quickly got up from the couch and headed upstairs to my room.
┅
"Good morning." I was greeted by my Rapunzel-like friend, Kiara, who was like a chirpy and happy bird singing out your window.
Her blonde hair in pretty waves glowed so fervently that my light brown hair was just bland and boringly straight. It took me like three minutes to do them but even without brushing, it wouldn't make much of a difference.
"Sleep well, sleepyhead?" she asked, amused.
I grunted. She woke up on the right side of the bed a lot. "I'm fine. Good morning to you."
We were at the most unexciting place—school. I wasn't completely awake for this. While students rove past us, my mind centered back on how I missed my time with bed. I was dragged out of bed against my own will.
"Did you see the new episode last night?" Kiara brightened her eyes with enthusiasm, which happened just after almost every episode.
I knew what she meant because we were both avid fans that kept up every week of this one show. After each episode aired out, we looked forward to the next day to talk about it.
"Yeah. I like it," I responded normally.
"So far of Noah and Darcy's relationship is soo sweet! I wish it was me. He is such a sweetheart on the inside. Noah is also soo hot. I know I said this like more than a thousand times, but I just can't get over it compared to Season One." Exhilarated, a tear just surged out of her eye, and quickly she had to wipe it off.
Kiara just loved to exaggerate a bit with her expressions. She's a bit dainty and cheerful for her own good. Look at her with the way her eyes lit up and a smile that was proudly worn on her demeanor.
"Yeah, I kinda do like their relationship so far," I said, agreeing. I didn't really see them in the beginning, but I saw a process of change happening between them and it kind of became interesting and fascinating.
On the inside, I really, really liked it, okay? I didn't want to sound like an internal fangirl, but then I'd be lying to myself.
She already knew how much I was infatuated by it.
Kiara and I stuck around longer in the school hallway just idling chat about last night's new episode while we went to our lockers to grab our textbooks needed for our class.
First, we made a trip to my locker and then Kiara's. It took me two minutes to remember that I had my textbook in my backpack and not in my locker. She laughed at my forgetfulness and I chided her for it.
She snatched a textbook quickly and placed it in her backpack, zipping it to close. Then she told me to glance at her locker.
Of course. Despite the neat and girlish design having pastel sticky notes posted, a hairbrush holder with her hairbrush, a shelf holder to place in mini-notebooks, and miscellaneous items, she drew my attention to focus on the picture of... him.
Noah... I shook my head. I came to my sense that it was the actor who played as him. She just recently put it up there and I believed she cut it from a magazine.
"Look at this new photo. Can't you believe it? What do you think, Sienna?" Kiara asked. She clasped her hands together, adoring the photo as her eyes looked dreamily.
He had his messy medium-length brown hair that looked windswept, and his sharp brown eyes pierced me like a knife cutting through my neck. He held a powerful aura even if it was a model representation. The clothes he wore was made like an expensive dark navy blue jacket over his red checkered shirt and underneath the layers of clothes was a white shirt.
If we're talking about appearances, he cleaned up well. His face? The word was stunning. He's an absolute stunner. His looks could kill. That's probably being biased because he played my favorite character.
"He's okay." I acted nonchalantly.
"Okay?" she questioned as if I wasn't seeing clearly. "That," she said, pointing at the picture, "is more than okay."
"Okay..." I sent her a look of "Does it matter?"
She glared at me and was going to retort to my unenthusiastic response, but the signal of the bell rang loudly throughout the school building. Haha, so I was saved.
Kiara really wanted to say some last words by the way her lips pursed. "Well, it's time to go to class," she said, flaking the conversation we had while she closed her locker.
We headed to the first period class that we had together. My seat was the third row to the back of the room and Kiara's was two desks away on my right. The class started, and I paid attention to a little bit at first.
As the teacher went over last night's homework and old war events, I cushioned my cheek against my palm and stared out the window.
I asked myself this a lot of times and deliberated what would it'd be like to escape. Escape from this small place and live on an excursion to somewhere bigger. A bigger place than my own world. A world that existed but was quite unimaginable.
I thought about the wonders of magic. It was the magic of turning something ordinary into more. The magic in itself, the magic that could touch your own heart. The unbelievable magic which could make us think it was real and we would have hope.
There wouldn't be a specific magic figure or thing because it could be anything magic as long as there was creation. But my magic would be seeing a type of transformation before my eyes.
For some, it could be seeing their first pet grown from a puppy to a dog and you wouldn't believe it's that same puppy because they had gotten bigger.
They would always be young no matter what.
As for me, I imagined constructing a giant paper airplane that had the capacity to fly far enough to reach my destination. I'd ride on top of it with its invincible powers to fly to a large city.
A huge apparent sign greeted me and I saw myself content. The sign said HOLLYWOOD in capital print letters. Its flashy statement was telling me that discovery marked all magic happening.
That was a living dream, to know I exist and somehow there was a purpose for it for me. I was fascinated because it looked like reaching the top of the mountain.
It was just me focusing on that sign and nothing else.
The inspiration this could give me to just boost my spirit. Maybe it would spread colors to me that I hadn't seen before. If only I could get to that top and see it someday.
The class went by quickly. For the last ten minutes, the teacher let the students waste time. The students chattered and the noise level filled the ambiance with many of them shifting to different seats.
Kiara had moved her belongings to sit in the vacant seat next to me, and everyone else was in their own circle.
"I am not looking forward to the next class," I complained.
"We're watching a movie for mine," she said. "It's some Italian movie."
"At least that's better than my next class," I said, thinking about the torture of inputting equations.
Complaining about what I wasn't looking forward to was just a morning thing I did regularly.
"They look good together!" Someone exclaimed strongly enough that I turned my attention to a girl pointing to a picture on a magazine page.
"I think so, too!" The girl beside her agreed with eagerness painted onto her face.
They chatted animatedly at another table close to us, and I overheard the conversation about the two main actors in Heaven's Serendipity. The second season was rising up and gaining more popularity. This was similar from the first season when they piqued everyone's curiosity including mine.
"I don't know. I kind of like them together if they went out."
"Hmm, maybe. I think I would look better with him."
"So they've became people's favorite couple," Kiara chimed in, glancing at them and then back to me with her hands folded beneath her chin.
I saw a glimpse of the magazine page and there was a photo of the actor who had an arm placed around the leading actress. I supposed it's a photo shoot for the series.
"I noticed." I flipped my attention back to her.
"Hmm?" Her eyes rose up as she looked towards me.
"Nothing," I shrugged.
"Ahh, no. Don't tell me you're not into Dylan yet." Kiara drew her breath in sharply and held a finger in the air.
"Hahaha," I let out a soft laugh.
Everybody loved the glorious Dylan Hawkes, the star that captivated so many hearts through the screen. He had talent, his love for acting was something. The guy was not bad, but I didn't have enough in me to know who he was personally.
"He's good looking, yes, but," I said, inhaling drastically, "when he gets into his character, I just..." The picture of his character flashed in my mind, and I admitted my defeat. "Noah's sooo hot."
Dylan had a fresh face and there was a bit of innocence in him although he wasn't just the cute type. There was this strong exuberance about him.
"You sure you're not into him yet? I wouldn't blame you if you are," Kiara jested and played a smile on her lips.
"Of course not." I rolled my eyes.
"Fine, fine. Whatever you say."
Soon my eyes shifted back to the magazine on the table with that same page. What's funny or sad about reality was that more than just actors alone, I could never see Hollywood up closely. The pop and glamorous world of the stars were captivating, but how about working with something a little bit more behind the scenes. The beyond transformation away from the lights and the glitz, but how they made them picturesque with another world.
A world that created reality and made us believe they were real.
And afterward, we wouldn't think they really did that because they looked ordinary on the outside. Someone like Dylan who could become someone else and watch the effects of the props, backgrounds, and scenes, did his heart race at that?
I asked how it'd feel to get to experience the transformative magic that some of us in our lives would never experience. Would I come remotely close to Hollywood and not only think of it as a dream? They looked almost real to me.
The world of Hollywood and I would not meet at the same level.

No one is here, but hii... if you knew this story, you knew that this is really old and I had a lot of mistakes written on here. After years of delaying to continue or to write, I will finally convince myself to push into writing. At least a little bit. University tends to get in my way and I could never focus. Now, I just want to stop feeling stressed all the time since I'm going to do it forever, I might as well stop to write again as I used to... So if anyone is here, this is a new and updated version of Chapter 1 I just revised. I'm going to rewrite the story while keeping some of the aspects here but just more told in Sienna's point of view from the beginning since that's how I originally wanted but didn't know how to introduce Dylan so I included his perspective. From forward on, it will be solely told from her side and the only character you will venture with through her rambunctious thoughts.
Although maybe one or two chapters of his side?
If anyone is here, ahhh! I hope you like it. I pick myself up after everything drops me down. I'm going to slowly come back and feel the love for my story and my characters. While I think I've gotten a bit better with my writing I feel it's not accurately perfect and if there are some grammar mistakes, please kindly point out to me. I'm not a perfect writer and I'm still improving. I have a long way to go, but I hope this is a start. Please vote and comment! It would mean a lot to me and I would thank you if you did. And thank you if you take the time to read this. I would love to hear your guys' thoughts! (4/30/20)
