"We're trapped in the sanctuary! We could die in here!" Jade heard. 

"The sanctuary is strong, it will hold up at least until we get the citizens out of the city," a soldier replied calmly. 

"How are you so sure? Did you supervise it being build over a thousand years ago?" the person asked sarcastically. 

"Calm down, we will get all of out of here," the soldier.

   Jade walked over to the soldier and said, "I'm not leaving unless I find my girlfriend." 

"You have no choice, ma'am," the soldier replied. 

"Too bad, I'll help fight if I have to, but I won't leave unless my girlfriend is here," she snapped. 

"Ma'am, you can't stay, you'll die," the soldier said. 

"I'd rather die than leave her out there!" Jade shouted. 

   "She clearly won't go and even though it is against our rules, she can stay," the commander said, then looked at Jade and added, "but if you do stay you will help the others get to safety." Jade nodded. 

"I would rather help fight, but this is probably the most you'll let me help," she said, "Where is the way out?" 

"That's the problem, we're looking for the way out," the commander replied. 

"So we are trapped in here, with our only other way out being the entrance?" she questioned.

   "Yeah, kind of," one of the soldiers replied. Jade sighed and decided to go look for a way out. She looked around the back of the building and couldn't find a way out. She looked around the right, then the left. There were no ways out besides the front. They were trapped in the city unless the soldiers fought the attackers out of the city.
