Chapter 19
Chapter 19:
"You ready?" Juliet questioned.
"Yeah, I just have to get my shoes. Wait two seconds." I replied while I searched through the dozens of shoes cluttered by the door. Eventually my eyes locked on the purple converse. "Okay, ready."
"I'm excited for a girl's day. I haven't had one for a while, since Mallory is in Spain for school." Rosie sighed dramatically, acting as if it was the end of the world.
"Mallory?" I inquired as the three of us started out the door towards Juliet's car.
"My best friend from Chicago. She's American." Rosie grinned. "Her and Zayn actually dated for a while."
"Would it be rude for me to ask what happened?" I was curious as I slid into the backseat.
"They dated for two years on and off.. I think she was too headstrong for him. They broke up two months ago, but they're still really good friends. She also hated the attention she got, she's not exactly good with being nice to annoying people. Which made everything quite entertaining for the boys and I, but it didn't work out in the long run." Rosie laughed and a laugh emitted from Juliet as well.
"So Brook, anything you want to know about us?" Juliet asked as she looked at me in the rearview mirror, her hazel eyes sparkling.
"How'd you meet Louis?" I decided to start off with simple questions.
"Funny story, actually. Really funny story. I bet if someone wrote a story about it, it'd reach a million reads." Juliet joked. "Nah, basically.. I was an over obsessed fangirl and I had a website. Your brother is a major creeper and found it. But he didn't just leave it at finding it, he actually started talking to me. I didn't know it was him, though. Then when I went to their concert, out popped Louis. He then spent the next two years trying to get me to say yes to being his girlfriend."
"That's really cute! What about you Rosie?"
"I think my story would get over four million reads. It's more exciting than Juliet's." Rosie winked and the three of us laughed.
"Whatever." Juliet scoffed with a smile.
"Anyways, Harry and I were the best friends that were never going to fall in love. I guess those stories don't always work out, though. It was pretty tough when I got my brain tumor, I was so sure he was going to leave me. I mean, who would want a bald girlfriend? He proved me wrong, he never left my side." A hint of a smile graced Rosie's lips as she thought about her relationship.
"You had a tumor?" I asked in shock before throwing my hand over my mouth. "I'm so sorry if that seems rude.."
"No, it's fine! I still have it, actually. But I'm getting stronger everyday and I have some pretty amazing friends around me. It's amazing how knowing people are there for you can completely change the aspect of a traumatic event. If I had to go through the entire process with no one around me, I wouldn't have made it."
Her words touched my heart, because I knew exactly what she meant.

"I swear I gain ten pounds whenever I visit the boys, just from Nandos." Juliet groaned as we all walked to the theater. Rosie agreed, rubbing her stomach.
"Is it possible to marry their sandwiches? If so, I am totally going to marry their chicken breast sandwich." I sighed in bliss.
"Let's see what they have showing. We could see The Hunger Games." Rosie pointed out on the large movie schedule.
"I kind of want to see The Vow." Juliet countered.
"What's that about?" I scrunched my eyebrows up at her.
"Holy crap." Juliet gasped as she looked at me. Rosie looked confused for a moment before her face transferred to one of shock.
"One of you care to explain why you're looking at me like I have three heads?" I crossed my arms and waited for a response.
Juliet shook herself quickly before opening her mouth. "It's your story. Well, not really. It's about a girl who gets in an accident and loses her memory, she forgets that she's married."
"I'm not married to Niall, am I?" I joked.
"Nope." Rosie laughed.
"And the girl didn't forget a pregnancy, did she?"
"Nope." Juliet shook her head with a short laugh.
"She also doesn't remember in the end, so it's definitely going to be different. You are going to remember. I know it." Rosie reassured me with a hug. I felt tears prick at my eyes but I pushed them away.
"Let's see The Hunger Games." Juliet suggested, "I think we need to cheer up a bit, aye?"
"Sounds good." I laughed before hooking arms with the two.

"Okay, that movie was kind of incredible." Rosie admitted as we traipsed out of the movie theater. The sunny day had drifted away while we were inside. The sky was now a sheet of dark blue. Street lights were on and the bustle of a typical Friday night buzzed around us.
"Oh my god, Rosemarie, Juliet, Brooklyn? Oh my god!" Two girls squealed, frightening me slightly. Juliet gave me a reassuring smile and nudged me ever so slightly towards them.
"Hey! How are you?" Rosie stepped up with a happy smile.
"Amazing! I look up to you guys so much. Wow, can we get a picture?" The girl was bobbing up and down on the soles of her feet.
"We're not famous, you know, love." Juliet spoke up.
"We know, but you're just so inspirational. It'd mean a lot." The second girl spoke up hopefully.
Rosie, Juliet and I all shared a look before huddling together. Well, it was more like Juliet and Rosie shared a look before pushing me into the picture. It took a few seconds, but once we were done the girls all chattered happily.
"Brook, I heard you were in an accident. We also haven't seen you so much, are you okay?" Girl one asked.
"Uh, yeah. I'm fine." I smiled hesitantly at her.
I wasn't used to this. I was never popular at school, I got by with my few friends. This was my first encounter with one of One Direction's fans when I wasn't actually around the boys. When they were actually interested by me.
It was weird, knowing that people knew me for who I am and who I'm related to.
"Bet it was hard on Niall. I'm so glad you're alright! I swear, Niall treats you like a princess. I wish I could find a guy like that. What's the sweetest thing he's ever done for you?" The girl babbled on.
My mind completely blanked. I realized I had three choices.
1. Make up some lie, tell her Niall once brought me breakfast in bed or something.
2. Say something that he's done for me in the two months since the accident, such as him recreating our first day.
3. Stand there blankly while staring at her.
I was currently going with number three, even if it was unintended.
"Remember when he made that picnic for you on your anniversary and serenaded you as the sun set?" Juliet saved me by popping up and looking at me with a 'go along with it' look.
"Yeah, that was definitely my favorite." I said quickly with a forced smile.
"Well, girls, it was lovely meeting you.. But we better get going. Have a great night!" Rosie spoke up.
Both girls requested hugs and soon after we were on our way to the car. I was quiet while Juliet and Rosie bubbled on about the movie.
I didn't think about the publicity of my accident. None of the fans knew what happened. Only a handful knew that I was suffering from memory loss. All the fans thought Niall and I were doing fine and dandy.
What happened if it got leaked to the press? Would everything be a hundred times worse, or would it actually be better?
I could only shudder at the possibilities.
