You said You'll never leave me,
No matter how stranded or forsaken I feel.
You said You'll give me strength when I am weak,
And on a tired day I can feel the strength within.

My back bent with a thousand burdens - heavy,
And my Lord took them and carried them all the way for me.
I was hurt on the inside - shattered to pieces,
And my Lord put me back to together again.

Alone in the darkness without a sail for my ship,
And He provided light and became my Captain.
When I felt like I could not carry on anymore,
He gave me the extra push - encouragement.

I was a lost sheep strayed from the herd,
Jesus turned back for me leaving the thousands behind.
When I felt distressed or upset;
Jesus placed His hand on me and gave me peace within.

The worries that I have that give me a headache,
My God took them from me to leave me free.
Captain of my ship, my Anchor, my Rock, my Shelter,
Burden Bearer - is here for me and you too.
