An Unexpected Vacation

It took Lily a moment to gain a sense of where she was. She seemed to be lying flat on her back, but she could tell that she wasn't laying on the sidewalk that she had previously been walking on. The ground seemed much too soft for it to be cement. The ground beneath her felt soft, like a pillow. It's possible that she had fallen into the yard next to the sidewalk, or that she had been moved to a hospital, but if it was a yard, her feet would've probably still been on the sidewalk, and it didn't exactly smell like a hospital. She opened her eyes and looked up at the world around her. Streaks of sunlight were pouring through the canopy of trees above her head. There definitely weren't that many trees near the sidewalk. A few birds were chirping, and she saw a squirrel run up one of the trees. That didn't seem too unusual.

As Lily sat up to gain a better idea of where she was, a shot of pain ran up her back. She flinched, but ignored the pain, assuming it had just been caused by the fall. She looked around and found that she was in what appeared to be a forest. It was very bright, not a cloud in the sky, and the leaves seemed unusually green. She looked over and saw that Adrienne and Karen were laying beside her, still unconscious. They seemed changed, but it took Lily a moment to notice exactly how changed they were. Adrienne's once dark brown hair had become a deep purple. Karen's black hair had turned into a nice shade of dark red. Lily was quite fond of that shade of red and was delighted to see the change, although it did startle her some. She went to brush her own short hair over her eyes to see if the color had changed, but it doing so she found it to be significantly longer that it was before. It had somehow become waist length and dark blue. She was quite shocked by these changes and was going to wake up her friends to see what they thought had happened, but she decided instead to merely sit and watch the world.

As previously mentioned, it was a very nice day. It wasn't too hot or too cold, and there was a nice breeze blowing through the trees. A few insects buzzed around Lily's head, but she let them be as she didn't want to disrupt the tranquility of the forest. After a few minutes of sitting, Adrienne began to come round. She blinked a few times before looking up at Lily.

"What happened?" She asked groggily, slowly sitting up. She, too, cringed a bit. "All I can remember is there was a lot of lightning and then a big flash and then... Dude, what happened to your hair?"

Lily laughed, causing Karen to stir a bit. "Of all the things in the world, you ask me about my hair." She let out another exasperated laugh. "We are in the middle of a forest, god knows where it is, and you ask me about my hair."

Adrienne looked at the forest. Her face gave of a sense of both fear and curiosity. It was as if she was scared of everything, yet not, all at once. "Lily, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore."

Lily had made an effort not to laugh too loud so as to not make Karen wake up fully, however she entirely lost it at Adrienne's last comment. "You don't say," she said sarcastically, "I thought we were still on the street leading up to my house."

Karen slowly sat up, apparently feeling no pain, unlike the others. She glanced around her, seeming to accept her surroundings. She looked over at her friends and a look of horror washed over her face. "What happened to your hair, bro?" she asked. She looked at her own hair. "What happened to my hair, bro?"

The three of them stood up and began to walk around some. A feeling of dread washed over Lily as she realized that she was significantly shorter than she once was. The other two seemed to feel quite accomplished about finally being of similar height as Lily. Lily gave the two of them a deep frown and they snickered a bit then stopped looking so successful. They wandered through the forest for a bit. It seemed familiar, but none of them could quite place where they knew it from.

After walking for a while, Lily stopped suddenly. Adrienne stopped walking before running into her, but Karen, who had been following the movements of a butterfly instead of watching where she was going, ran straight into Adrienne. The two of them would both have fallen to the ground had Lily not shot her arm out to stabilize them. "Something's wrong," she announced. "I can feel it."

"No offense Lily," Karen began, "but last time we trusted your instincts, we got stuck in a lightning storm." No sooner had Karen spoken than a knife through directly past her face. Lily dashed over to the area it had come from. She bent down and pulled a man out of the bush. He looked strange. He was very small, most likely to improve his agility. His hair was grayish blue and stuck up oddly in the back. Lily didn't really know what to do, but she didn't want to be attacked again, so she hit him over the head. He instantly fell to the ground.

Two other people had appeared from the bushes. Lily prepared to fight them, but they gestured for her to let it go. "We're not your enemy," the first one stated. She looked nice enough to Lily. Her hair was in two buns at the top of her head, which was kind of weird, but Lily let it slide.

The other person was male. He had long, black hair and creepy white eyes. "How'd you manage to catch that guy?" he asked. "We've been tracking him for a week now and couldn't even get close to him." Lily just shrugged her shoulders and continued to stare at him. He seemed so familiar, but she didn't know why.

Karen walked over to him then pointed at his face and looked at Lily. "Dude, that's Neji Hyuga," she stated bluntly. Lily's jaw dropped. Suddenly everything made sense, why the world was so familiar yet so strange, why the people looked so familiar. Indeed, as Karen had said, Neji Hyuga stood right in front of them, Byakugan and all. Lily stared at him for a few moments, completely dumbfounded, until Neji snapped her out of her daze.

"How do you guys know who I am?" he asked confusedly. "And why are you staring at me like that?" The three girls dropped their gaze to the ground.

Adrienne was the first of the three to respond to Neji's question. "Actually," she began, "We're from a neighboring village, it's a small one so you probably haven't heard of it. There aren't any ninjas in out village, but three of us are moving to Konoha to pursue our dreams. We did some research on some of the younger registered ninjas before leaving so that we would know what the standard is." Neji processed what she had told him for a few moments. He seemed to buy it.  He looked over the three girls standing in front of him. He was taller than all of them, which did not fail to agitate Lily, as it meant that she was probably around four foot nine.

After a few moments of observation, Neji noticed something that made him stumble back a foot. "Is that the Byakugan?" he asked, pointing at Karen. Adrienne and Lily looked over Karen and saw that she did indeed have the famous eyes of the Hyuga clan.

"Is he telling the truth?" Karen asked excitedly. "Are they really there?" Lily nodded her head in confirmation. Karen let out a yelp of joy. "Dude, this is the best day ever!" she exclaimed. "First, we're transported into Naruto, and now I have a Byakugan, and you told Neji that we're going to be ninjas so I guess now we should go become ninjas-"

Lily cut Karen off before she could say too much. "Getting back to us becoming ninjas, we should probably start heading to Konoha now so we can get there before dark."

"I suppose you should," Tenten commented, "Neji and I will go get the rest of our team, then we can escort you there."

While Neji and Tenten were gone, Lily, Adrienne, and Karen began to talk amongst themselves. "So, if we're in Naruto, do you think that means we can use jutsus?" Lily asked

"I would assume so," Adrienne responded, "I don't know how well we'd be able to do them, but with practice, it may work."

"I'm gonna try one." Lily announced excitedly. She focused what she assumed to be chakra in the palm of her hand and began attempting to spin it. After a few moments, she had formed a full-fledged rasengan. She stared at her hand in amazement and thought of what to do with her creation. Logically, one would've simply let it die out so as to not cause any damage, but Lily decided that she instead wanted to jam it into a tree. She did so and ended up destroying half the forest while she was at it. "Damn, that's OP," she commented.

"Ya don't say?" Adrienne remarked. Team Guy rushed over to where the three girls stood, a look of panic filling their eyes.

"What happened?" Guy asked, worriedly. "We were just walking over to come get you when there was a loud crash and then half the forest was gone."

"Sorry about that, I was just playing around," Lily responded innocently, "I can grow it back for you in a moment." Adrienne gave Lily a questioning glance, but she just shrugged. "I figure if i can blow up a forest without any training, then I'm probably OP enough to use a wood time or something and grow the forest back." She thought back to the hours she had spent scrolling through wikipedia attempting to learn all of the different jutsus back in seventh grade when she was a complete nerd and came up with one some hand symbols that she thought should work as a wood type. She did it and lo and behold the entire forest grew back.

"OP OP OP!" Karen yelled. The three of them laughed. Lily figured she'd just wipe the minds of team Guy so that no one would actually know that she was excessively OP, as that would've made her time in Konoha quite boring.

The seven of them walked the rest of the way to Konoha together. It took about an hour, taking into account bathroom breaks and a little time spent chasing after Karen when she started chasing after a frog, her excuse being that she wanted a pet.

Upon arrival in the leaf village, Guy took the three girls to see the hokage so they could become properly settled down and be enrolled in ninja school. The three of them decided to explain the entire situation with the lightning and what not to him, as they figured there should at least be someone who knew about that, but they didn't tell him about the whole "excessively over-powered" thing. They came up with aliases, so that they could better fit in in the village, instead of having really weird names. Lily did end up going with Hotaru, after her bet with Adrienne and Karen. Adrienne became Midori, and Karen became Anzu. Karen adopted the surname of "Hyuga," as she already had the byakugan, but Adrienne and Lily decided to hold off on deciding last names incase they ended up with some form of Kekkei Genkai.

The meeting was, overall, pretty good. Lily almost had an emotional break down at one point upon realizing that the hokage was going to die soon, but Adrienne snapped her out of it by pointing out that a decent amount of the people they came across were going to die and she couldn't just go around crying all the time. The hokage gave the girls a house towards the edge of the village, so they went there and began to adjust to their new surroundings.

It was a decently sized house; not too small or too big. It had two floors, which was nice. On the first flow, there was a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, and a spare room that Lily declared as the music room, as all of them were very musically oriented people. On the second floor, there was four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a sitting room. Lily, who had decided she was omnipotent, or all powerful, took the liberty of decorating each of the girls' rooms to their own individual preferences. She also created training outfits for each of them so that they would be prepared for school the next day.

Lily's outfit consisted of leggings, combat boots, and a fitted crop top. Adrienne's outfit was moderately similar, but she decided to go for a longer shirt with laces down the front. She also decided to spring for ninja sandals instead of combat boots. Karen requested shorts and a loose crop top along with ninja sandals. Lily asked her if she would be cold just wearing shorts, but she stated that she didn't get cold, so Lily fulfilled her request. Lily also create sets of jeans, sweatpants, and graphic tee's for when the three of them were just lounging around the house.

By this time, it was around three in the afternoon. The three of them were sitting together in the living room when Adrienne commented out of no where, "I think I have the ability to access the Rinnegan if I want to." She attempted to do so and was able to activate a fell fledged Rinnegan. "Also," she continued, "I've decided that I'm omniscient." Lily gave her a confused look. "All-knowing," she explained. Lily normally would've objected to such a claim, but after the day she had had, she decided to just accept it. "Also," Adrienne added, "Lily, you have a mangekyo sharingan, and Karen can heal any wound."

"That's pretty chill," Lily stated, "We should probably not tell other people about that."

"Yup," Karen agreed. They all laughed about how excessively over-powered they were for a few minutes. It was like a bad episode of One Punch Man or something.

Once everything had been sorted out, the three of them went out for dinner at Ichiraku ramen as they hadn't yet had time to go food shopping. They quickly downed their meals,  then went back home to get a well deserved and much needed full night of sleep before training the next day.
