Khushi was sitting in one of the rooms of Shantivan chatting with her two sister-in-laws, Anjali and Payal about something random when Shyam entered the room with a small smile

"You are looking beautiful Khushi" Shyam said and kissed her forehead

"Thank you Jija-ji" Khushi replied shyly

"Told you Chotey is going to be shocked seeing you like this" Anjali said with a glint of naughtiness 

Khushi blushed

"And the look is completed, I was thinking from a long time what exactly is missing" Payal teased

Khushi glared at her and her mouth formed a perfect O

"Damn you Payal!! You're learning tricks from your so-called Bhai aren't you now?" Khushi asked

Payal smiled in respomse

"When are you planning on sparing me with this teasing spree Mrs Payal Akash Singh Raizada?" Khushi asked 

"Do I have to Anjali Di?" Payal asked innocently

"No Payal.. You don't have to"  Anjali assured 

Khushi whined

And the rest chuckled.

"Okay now, Payal you take care of your Khushi Di. I need to take Raani-Saheba downstairs for a tiny bit" Shyam said

Payal nodded 

"What happened Shyamji?" Anjali asked curiously

"Actually Maa is calling you downstairs for some pooja and Pre-engagement rituals with Saale-Sahab" Shyam explained

Anjali nodded thoughtfully

"Payal, Stay with Khushi till you are both called downstairs. The I'll join you and we can escort her  downstairs together. What say?" Anjali asked 

"Yeah, That would be an excellent idea. I'll wait for you" Payal assured

Anjali left the room with Shyam leaving the two sisters-in-law inside the room

Downstairs, Arnav Singh Raizada was sitting clad in a Black colour Sherwaani looking divine as ever. Anjali was applying kumkum on his forehead

"Saale-Sahab, You're looking very handsome" Shyam said

"Thank you very much jijaji.. Btw How long am I supposed to sit here?" Arnav asked

"Um.. Saale-sahab, Sabr toh karna hoga. Ab sagaai hai.. To vidhiyaan bhi hongi (Brother in law... You'll have to be patient. It's the engagement
. So the rituals are bound to happen.) Don't worry... It'll not be long" Shyam assured

Arnav shook his head

"Kya kyaa karna pad raha hai tumhaare liye Khushi (What all I have to do for you Khushi)" Arnav muttered

"Karna Padta hai Chote.. And it's not really that bad. This time at least you're doing this for the one you truly love. Trust me when I say this... You were a complete mess when you were getting engaged to Dia" Anjali said

"I wasn't even doing anything" Arnav defended

"That.. Is my point. You were sitting like a machine. Doing everything... Like it was an obligation you have to comply with" Anjali said

"It was... I wasn't happy" Arnav whispered

"And now.. I am glad you have what you wished for." Anjali said

"I don't know what I was thinking while doing that. It would've killed me..."

"Don't. You. Dare. Raizada. It's such a happy occasion and you're talking like this." Anjali chided

"Sorry.. Where's Dad?" Arnav asked

"In his room" Anjali said

"Is he..?"

"Mom's there too. Yeah, I guess he is... Didn't tell me. But it's fine. We are all habitual to this aren't we?"

"I wish... It wasn't this difficult." Arnav said

"Don't worry. You just enjoy your day" Anjali said

"He'll be fine right?" Arnav asked

Anjali nodded and patted his back.

"Taiyaar ho gayi Khushi? (Is Khushi ready?)" Garima asked

Payal turned with an anklet in her hand

"Ji aunty... Bas yeh paayal pehnaa rahi thi unhe (Yes aunty.. I was just making her wear this anklet)" Payal said showing the anklet

"Be quick girls. The Mahurath (Auspicious time) is almost there" Garima said

"We're ready Aunty" Payal said once she hooked Khushi's anklet.

"I need to be downstairs. I'll just send Anjali" Garima said

Payal nodded

Garima kissed Khushi on her forehead and repeated the same with Payal.

"Meri dono bacchiyaan bahut pyaari lag rahi hain (Both my daughters are looking very beautiful)" She said

They both smile. And Garima hurried downstairs Telling Anjali to go to the duo and bring Khushi to the main stage

Khushi decended the stairs clad in a beautiful white Lehenga with Embroidered Dupatta with Payal and Anjali on both sides.

Arnav stood on the stage admiring his lady love as she stepped nearer and nearer to him. Once near the stage, Arnav stepped closer to her and offered his hand for her to take.

Khushi shyly placed her right hand over his and ascended the stairs

"You're looking gorgeous" Arnav said

Khushi blushed at his complement

Arnav and Khushi sit on the couch while The guests and the elders shower their blessings on the couple.

"Now.. Its time for the engagement ceremony Kids." Ratna announced and The couple stood up and faced each -other

Anjali stood beside Arnav holding a beautiful ring while Payal occupied the place beside Khushi. Both were holding rings respectively.

"Arnav.. Make her wear the ring" Ratna instructed.

Arnav took the Ring from Anjali and held Khushi's hand in his ever-so-gently before sliding the ring in her finger

All this while Khushi was looking like a blushing doll.

"Oh this blush of yours is killing me Hazel" Arnav whispered

And Khushi blushed even more if possible

"Khushi.. Beta Now you ring him" Garima said

Payal handed her the ring and Khushi slid it in his ring finger.

When she looked at him to meet his eyes she found him smiling softly at her. She was forced to lower her gaze again not being able to bear his intense gaze.

Arnav held her chin and made her face himself again.

"I love you" He confessed in a whisper

The hall erupted in an applause.
