~{PART 32}~

"I want to tell you something." He whispers making her to look at into his eyes in which she can see pain which he is trying hard to hide. She nodes in a manner to encourage him to speak. He bends his head looking at the ground as he knows if he looks at her, he won't be able to tell it, the fear that what will she think about him will again cross his mind.

Seeing it Shehnaaz goes and sit beside him, holding his hand in hers. Been there with him but still making him comfortable and feel that he is all alone. He moves his graze towards the waterfall and going back to his journey of past which he never gave himself to forget.

"Life as a child has been wonderful when I had no knowledge about my real identity as been living peacefully with my mother. But life did change when I started going to school, I used to see children talking about father. People in neighborhood behaving differently with me and my mother, my own grandparents' rude behavior with mom. I was trying to understand everything, once when I was playing with one of the neighborhood kid." Siddharth is narrating the entire incident with a blank expression.

##

"I am not out don't you get it?" A ten-year child is shouting on the other child of same age.

"You are stamp out and why are you lying?" The other person shouts back.

"You will tell me whether I am out or not? Don't forget this is my bat and I can make my own rule. I am not out." The boy says glaring the other.

"This bat is yours doesn't means you will do anything. You're out!" He is not going to give up so easily.

"Let it be, Siddharth if he wants to play again. It's his bat we can't do anything." The other boy around same age who has been fielding says.

"What if its his bat? He will do anything he wish to? This is game and it should be played fair, he is doing cheating and I won't appreciate it." Siddharth says making the other boy fume in anger. He moves towards him in anger.

"You will stop me? You will tell me what is fair and what is not when your illegitimate." Those words from him shock Siddharth as well as the other boy with him.

"Varun do you even know what are you saying?" The other boy asks been shock.

"I know what I am saying, I heard my own parents talking about it. He is illegitimate." Siddharth not able to hear those words more, he punches him on his face and blood comes out from his face with Siddharth only one punch. He is looking at him with dangerous eyes while Varun falls down on the floor.

"Not a word! If I again hear you saying something like that, I will kill you." Saying so Siddharth moves from there in anger, he has been in no mood to go to his house so has been roaming just like that.

After half an hour he makes his way towards his house when he sees his mom along with grandparents are waiting for someone outside and along with them Varun and his mother is also present. He gets to know that he has complained to his mother and now they have come to his mom. He takes slow step move towards them.

The moment his mom eyes goes on her son, she rushes towards him. "Siddharth did you beat him?" She asks with a hope that he will deny but he nodes, making her upset in front of all.

"I told you see, now he is accepting too. Why you punch my son face, see how much he is bleeding." Varun's mom shouts on him.

"Siddharth how can you behave like this?" His grandfather scolds him and then look at Varun's mom, "I am really sorry for what he did. I promise that he won't repeat such mistake again." Folding his hand in front of them.

"No... you don't have to apologies often child without a father behaves like this. It nothing new." Varun mom's eyes at Siddharth mom and moves from there.

Siddharth grandfather moves towards Siddharth and holds his both shoulder tightly looking at him in anger. "Why you punch him? Is what your mother did not enough that now you too want to defame our name? I am asking you something, why?" He is fuming in anger and seeing this Siddharth to shout been angry.

"Because he called me illegitimate. How can he call me something like that?" He shouts out loudly shocking all of them. His mom is too shock to even react, he looks at his grandfather who is staring at him with a shock. "What wrong I did? If someone call you illegitimate what will you do?" He asks him for which he receives a slap from his mother.

He looks at his mom been shock as she never has slapped him ever. He looks at her with teary eyes and she is just looking at him been angry. How can he say thing like that to his grandfather. "How you said something like this to your Dadu? Say sorry to him, I said say sorry." His mom is shouting on him but he nodes in a negative manner.

"Why should I say sorry? When instead of asking Varun to say sorry he himself ask sorry to his mother. When Varun has did no mistake then what's my fault?" Siddharth asks an innocent question, he has no idea that why Varun is not told anything for calling him something like that while he is receiving scolding over here.

"Because whatever Varun said is not wrong, you're illegitimate. Did you get it?" Though she has been shouting in anger but her eyes have been moist due to the pain she has been feeling telling her own son, his identity. That is something huge for a mother to do.

"No...it can't be true. You said that my father has gone for an important work and he will come soon. You both have been married here, like shown in movies. You said this thing to me then how come? No, you're angry on me, right? That I punch Varun," he pinches his throat. "I promise you mom I won't ever punch anyone but please tell it is a lie, please." Siddharth says staring at his mother with teary eyes.

She slowly moves towards him and caress his face softly, "it is true beta I am not married to your father. Your father won't ever come back to us, never." She says herself kneeling down and crying after telling the biggest truth of his son life.

She is crying miserably those tears which from so many years she has been hiding from his son from the fear that he might ask her reason behind it. Today she is letting it go as the entire truth is in front of him. He looks at her mother crying for the very first time, for him his mom as been everything. He can't see her like that. He moves towards her and wipes her tears.

"Why are you crying mom that I won't get father in my life? When I have you then I don't want anyone in my life, you're enough for me." Saying so he hugs him and promise himself that from that day he won't ever bring that topic up which makes his mom to cry so much.

##

"From that day I never asked about my dad to her. I didn't want to see that pain in her eyes but society didn't stop asking about my identity and taunting me for the same. Seeing the face of cruel society and the way they use your weakness I had started masking my feelings before them. They used to taunt me calling with names, trying to break me and the only option left with me was to build a wall around myself. Not allowing anyone to enter there instead of my own mom, only with her I used to laugh, tease her, cry with her. Be human around her or I used to be a robot for the world who used to call me rude, arrogant and what not." Siddharth says his eyes moist but he is not allowing to flow it down. Shehnaaz moves her hand from his hand to his cheek and the moment she touch him those tears makes their way from his eyes down to his cheek.

Hmm... Jaise Baarish Kar De Tar
Yaa Marham Dard Par
Koi Mujhko Yun Mila Hai
Jaise Banjare Ko Ghar

He looks at her who is having tears in her eyes too. "I am the reason that she is not with me today." He says making Shehnaaz to look at him been confused that how come he is to blame for his mother's death?

"But you have took that money from Vikas to save her right?" Shehnaaz asks making Siddharth shock that how come she knows about it.

"Who told you about it?" He is somewhat furious on knowing that she knows about his past.

"Vikas told me," Shehnaaz says and seeing Siddharth getting piss and trying to move she holds his hand. "don't be angry, he only told me that how he met you, he didn't say anything further as he thought that its your past and you should share it with me." Shehnaaz says making a pout and he somewhat calms a little but still been mad on Vikas.

There is silence covering them for few minutes. He keeps staring at the waterfall and Shehnaaz is too staring at the waterfall. Siddharth lost in his past memories been all sad and Shehnaaz too thinking about his past, so much has he gone through. She glances at his face and founds him to be all sad, she pouts and stares back at waterfall. An idea clicks in her mind and soon she gets up, "Siddharth come with me I will show you something." Shehnaaz says been all excited but he is in no mood.

"Shehnaaz I am not in a mood." Siddharth says been slightly pissed.

"Siddharthhh... please come with me, I promise you will enjoy it." Shehnaaz pleads him but he is not at all in mood, those past memories are killing him.

"Shehnaaz please don't irritate me," He says been fully annoyed. She stares at him with an angry pout and sit beside him been fully angry on him.

More then five minutes pass by and both are sitting there been silent. Siddharth slowly glance at Shehnaaz who is sitting there been all angry on him, "hey where you wanted to go?" He asks her bringing that bright smile back on her face, it so easy to make her happy. Those small things can bring that bright and beautiful smile on her face.

"Come I will show you." Saying so she drags him along with her. He is just following her and gets shock when she is moving towards the waterfall, is she planning to get wet in water. No! he is not going to do any such stunts.

"Where are you taking me? I am not coming in water." Siddharth says stopping in his way and narrowing his eyes at her. How come such childish things comes in her mind? How can he forget she is child herself.

"Why you stopped? Come it will be so much fun, please Siddharth." Shehnaaz looks at him with a puppy eyes.

"I am not coming anywhere Shehnaaz, I don't want to spoil my clothes." Siddharth says removing her hand from his, Shehnaaz sees at him with a last hope but seeing him not listening.

"Okay fine we won't go in water but can sit near that waterfall?" Shehnaaz asks with a hope and not giving him any chance to speak she drags him towards the waterfall.

The water used to come from huge height from a mountain, when the water fall joints the river there has been a small area where water didn't reach as it is like a cave. Shehnaaz has pointed to that cave so they can reach near water too and will not get in wet also. From the corner they make their way towards that cave on the way getting somewhat wet due to the water sprinkling on them. They finally reach to the cave and Shehnaaz sits on the corner and deep her legs in the water. Siddharth is just standing beside her.

"Why are you standing there? Come have a sit." Shehnaaz says tapping beside her. She is busy playing with water with her legs.

Siddharth takes the seat beside her, Shehnaaz slowly holds his hands in hers. "This has been my secret place, whenever Aunty used to beat me or was angry on me, I used to come here and hide. I used to cry my heart out, I had no friend beside me that time." Shehnaaz says trying to hide her pain behind her smiling face.

"What about Asim?" Siddharth asks her.

"Asim used to hardly come here. His parents live in Kashmir so he used to be there. It has been only after he left his parents house, he started coming here often. In childhood I have been all alone. Asim too don't about this cave, I never brought anyone here except you." Shehnaaz says looking into his eyes, while he stares too back at her. "Now you too can come over here whenever you're upset. I give you full permission." She says giggling.

After few minutes of silence Siddharth asks her, "why villagers used to blame you for that accident and your brothers that condition?" He has been curious to know about it. What has been her fault in it?

"That day have been my birthday, every year on my birthday some or other bad thing would happen. And on that day that accident happened, from that particular day people in village started maintaining distance from me. I never celebrated my birthday, the first time I cut my cake was due to Asim who made a cake on my birthday. Or I never knew what birthdays look like. You too celebrate your birthday?" Shehnaaz asks looking at him.

"I used to; you know my mom used to make a cake on my birthday. And I used to like only her hand made cake, I used to not cut cake if it was not made by her. After she left there was no reason for me to cut cake or celebrate my birthday." Siddharth remembering those memory brought a slight smile on his face.

"You love your mom a lot, right?" She asks him seeing his face and he nodes, wiping his tears, "aww... tu rota bhi hai." (You cry too.) Saying so she wraps her hands around his neck and hugging him, giving a kiss on his cheek. Listening to her Siddharth have a slight smile on his face, she really has some magic to make him smile even in such a situation.

"If you love your mom so much then why you blame yourself for her death?" Shehnaaz asks him breaking the hug.

"Because I am the one to be blame. Just because of my ego, I don't have my mother with me." Saying so he starts narrating the story. "Years passed by and grandparents were no longer with us. Mom used to do works so she can look after my studies and expenditure, I too started working for part time along with my studies to help mom with work. Things were going fine when one day..."

##

Siddharth just comes from part time job in the hotel, with his shirt torn and his wrist and forehead bleeding. His mom who has just lay down after coming from work sees his son in such a condition and get shock. She gets up from the bed and rush towards him, getting really worried seeing her son in such a condition.

"What happened to you? Why are you bleeding." She is checking if he got any more wound.

"Mom relax I am perfectly fine." Tries to calm down his mom seeing her getting so much worried.

"You're fine? See you're bleeding and you're telling me that you're perfectly fine." His mom speaks slowly touching his forehead with a teary eyes. "Now with whom you fought?" She asks glaring him.

"No one mom," he tries to escape from the topic and move from there but she holds his elbow not giving him to move.

"I want to know Siddharth that what you did today? With whom you fought? You told be that you're going in that Dinner restaurant then how come you came like this?" She asks been confused with his condition.

"I was working in restaurant only when one of the staff member from that restaurant started commenting bad about..." He bends his head not able to complete the statement and fisting his hand in anger on remembering it. If it has been in his hand, he would have killed him alive.

"About me, that how come I gave birth to you without getting married that how many such cheap thing I have done." She speaks making Siddharth to look at her been shock. "What why are you looking at me like that? It has been years that you came to know about your identity, I thought you till now might have accepted it but I was wrong, very much wrong. You still have not been able to accept your identity, you still can't accept that I am your mother. You are trying to run from me, you are feeling ashamed that I am your mother." She says crying and going and sitting on the nearby bed where she has slept before he has come.

Siddharth is not able to see her crying as that is his weakness, her tears. He moves towards her kneeling in front of her. "Why are you saying like that mom? How can I ever be ashamed of you. You're my pride mom and will always be." Siddharth says his eyes too moist, listening to his mother's such words.

"If you're not ashamed beta then why keeps on fighting with those who are telling you the truth. Who are telling you that your mother is such." She says feeling defeated. She has no energy left to see his son coming daily with fighting with one or another person due to his identity and them badmouthing about her.

"Because I know that they are not telling the truth. I might have no knowledge that what had happened in your past but I know that you're not the one to be blame for it. The person who is to be blame is he who has not for once came to see whether you're fine or not. The one who is reason for making you go through so much hardship, taking so many taunts from the society but still been determined to bring me in this world. Mom you never told me about your hardship but I know that to bring me in this world you have face many problems and you're still facing it but never shows it on your face. I am proud to be your son mom, if illegitimate child gets a mother like you then I will wish that every person is born illegitimate." Siddharth says resting his head in her lap while she is slowly caressing his hairs.

At that moment his mothers head falls on him making him to smile a little, "mom nowadays you're turning very much lazy. You keep on sleeping every now and then, I have saw you sleeping when I came." He is taking in a playful manner but not getting any reply from her side. He raises his head from her lap and finds her unconscious.

"Mom! What happened to you? Open your eyes mom." Siddharth is patting her cheeks trying to wake her up.
