Chapter 3: Birth
Samantha clamped the stone around the Goddess' neck and stepped aside, allowing Ares to carry the unconscious Goddess to the nearest chamber.
Everyone trailed behind them. Ares, Natalie, and Arles entered the chamber, while the witches remained outside, waiting for the Goddess to speak.
Ares placed the Goddess on a king-sized bed and mind-linked some healers. Within seconds, a swarm of healers rushed toward the chamber and they were instructed to attend to the Goddess with great care.
"Don't worry, King Ares. She is just exhausted and needs rest for the time being. She will regain consciousness soon," the healer's head informed Ares respectfully and remained glued to his spot while awaiting the next command. But Ares simply waved his hand and dismissed all of them at once. Worry was visible on his face.
Serena regained consciousness after about an hour and the first thing she did was ask Ares to summon Samantha inside the chamber and leave them alone.
Ares complied with the Goddess' command and followed her instructions.
"You did an excellent job, Samantha. You impressed me. You confirmed that selecting you for a difficult assignment was a wise decision. I will grant you a favour, so ask wisely," she meekly asserted to Samantha. She was exhausted, but her tone was still enough to make Samantha's soul tremble as she stood beside the Goddess's bed, dumbfounded.
For the first five minutes, she maintained the complete silence. She could not figure out what she wanted from The Goddess.
"Please, Goddess, my kind goes to great lengths to save their lives. Werewolves and humans both despise us. There is not a single safe and quiet place for witches to reside.
Everywhere they go, mayhem follows them. I just wanted to ask you to put an end to the unwanted chaos between the werewolf lineage and witches. Therefore, we 'witches' can find some peace."
Samantha softly addressed the Goddess. She was a wise woman who knew how to manipulate circumstances to her or her family's advantage.
She was being positioned while bending her head. Not showing any arrogance to please the Goddess.
Goddess, on the other hand, was caught in a dilemma. She realized witches were powerful, and only werewolves could stop them and keep them within their boundaries.
Goddess was not prepared for the idea of empowering witches with greater power by putting an end to their conflict. She remained silent and considered a solution.
"I will grant your wish, Smanatha. When a wolf rejects his soul mate and mates with a witch. And their firstborn will conquer my throne and become the new Deity of Wolves. The feud between the two families results in a moratorium.
The blood of a wolf and a witch brings peace to your clan, Samantha, and I assure you that my new successor will come from your bloodline. I give you my words, Samantha."
Goddess proclaimed and assured her in a melodious voice. Samantha was relieved but still dissatisfied with the results.
It was nearly impossible for a wolf to reject his soulmate. She had no idea how this would play out, but she had faith in the goddess.
"I have faith in you, Goddess...!!"
With these words, she bowed her head and bid Goddess farewell as she exited the chamber. She then left the palace, accompanied by her witches.
After a brief recovery, The Moon Goddess retired to her castle to await the birth of a legendary soul.
A few months later, the long-awaited day arrived when Sharron went into labour. An army of healers and maids were present in the Atlas' chamber, directing the newly evolving mother on how to push out the baby.
Sharron did as she was told, and eventually, the cry of a baby echoed throughout the castles. Everyone, including Goddess, was waiting outside the chamber for the good news.
However, immediately following childbirth, dark clouds surrounded the entire castle. The lightning and thunder made everyone deaf. Goddess's face was filled with worry lines, but she knew it was unavoidable.
Ares and his companion were taken aback, while Arles waited for the Goddess to speak. After a while, Atlas brought out a tiny beautiful baby from the chamber.
The baby was alluring, wrapped in a white silk sheet. He slept soundly and exuded a powerful energy. Goddess struggled to breathe in his presence.
"It is a baby boy...bless him and name him Goddess," Atlas approached his deity in a submissive manner. He was overjoyed as the tickling sensation of being a father enveloped him. He was unaware of the cloud of trepidation hovering over his deity's head.
Ares, Arles, and Goddess were looking at each other with wonder, and the reason for this was that they were familiar with the energy the baby was emitting.
The baby had the same aura as the man they met in the ancient cave centuries ago.
"Aaron~" In a daze, the name slipped from Goddess' tongue. She learned it was 'his' soul, but she never imagined he would reincarnate with all of his abilities.
"Aaron~ thank you Goddess what a beautiful name ......I ANNOUNCED MY FIRSTBORN AND THE FIRST GRANDSON OF FORMER KING ARES WILL BE CALLED BY 'AARON' AND KNOWN AS THE CROWN PRINCE OF PANDORA...HAIL TO THE GODDESS, AND LONG LIVE THE PRINCE..."
Atlas declared to his entire kingdom and shared his joy with his people. He was lost in his happiness without knowing there was someone whose heart sank in her stomach.
The Goddess looked at the newborn as more than just a baby. She identified him as a potential threat to her throne. His hybrid abilities were extraordinary for a werewolf.
She predicted the destiny of the boy going to be infamous as a 'Thunder Wolf'.
