Chapter 1
"HIYA!" shouted Tide Pool, when she was training with Hydra.
"Good!" complimented Hydra, "try to put a little more focus into the blood dealer though." A blood dealer was a fighting move where you scratch your opponents' face. Of course Tide Pool was practicing an a rock, so no one got hurt.
"O.K," said Tide Pool in acknowledgement, "can I take a break now." Tide Pool was tired, she had been training all day. The cave they were in was a big room with lots of stalagmites and stalactites. There were also many rocks, maybe one- thousand or so. Tide Pool and Hydra were always in that cave unless they were hunting or swimming. Although Hydra was a Dark Dragon, she loved the water. Tide Pool loved the water, but it seemed as though Hydra was hiding something from her every time they went to the river.
Tide Pool had seen her reflection before, and she knew that she was darker, a lot darker, than a normal Sea Dragon. She had asked Hydra Why before, but she just told her she was special, like she always did. Tide Pool knew she was special, but why?
"Of course!" said Hydra, when Tide Pool was just remembering what she asked Hydra.
"Thank you," said Tide Pool, nodding, and walking away.
When Tide Pool got to her little room in the cave, she lay on the floor bored, not knowing what to do.
