New Defenders are often in denial of themselves. This point of mind is quickly diminished when they are finally shown the truth.

(Y/n) ran back, shaking her head, ,'No. He's joking. I'm just going to have normal dreams and this will all be over.', she thought to herself as she reached the door slowly pushing it open ,"Mimi? Katia? I'm back.", she stepped in and shut the door.
  
     The elder was sitting in the library, reading to the kids when she noticed (Y/n) walk in ,"Welcome back. Did you find someone else there?", Mimi smiled as (Y/n) looked a bit irritated," Mimi, what's going on? Why is this happening to me?!", she asked as Mimi kept smiling ,"You look tired, dear. Go to bed for the night.", she ushered the teen upstairs.

       (Y/n) flopped down onto her bed with her arm over her eyes ,"Just sleep.", she said to herself shutting her eyes and falling into darkness.

    When she opened her eyes again  she was in a hallway with a door that looked like an exit on one side and on the other was a long and treacherous looking hallway ,"Pick your fate.", a voice rang in (Y/n)'s mind ,'Well the smart choice would be to leave. Right? But I want to see what's at the end of the hall....', she told herself walking down the hall ,"You have made your choice. There is no turning back now.", the voice said again as the world around (Y/n) disappeared and became a field ,"Where am I?", she asked to no one in particular then, jumping in fear when she heard a reply ,"This is Nowhere and Everywhere.", a feminine voice said as a woman with a long blue and pink gown approached the teen ,"My name is Akina and you, (Y/n), you are one of the new generation of Defenders for this world. I knew that one day a person with enough compassion to share with others would take my place.", (Y/n) stepped back ,"Defender? No, I'm just an orphan girl..", she said ," (Y/n) do not deny this. You knew who you were since the Reapers attacked those children. Please (Y/n), protect them. Protect the people......", Akina trailed off becoming less and less visible,"No! Wait! Teach me how!", (Y/n) cried all too late for the woman was gone and (Y/n) was falling into darkness.
          (Y/n) sat up in bed, gasping for breath ,"He was right. I have to go back.", she said quickly packing some clothes and just a bit of food into a small bag and silently creeping outside the door before running to the fountain where Nathan sat with his hands in his pockets ,"So you're back. I'm guessing you saw?", he turned to face her ,"Y-yeah but, I don't know how. I don't know how to use these so-called 'Powers' and I don't even know what I'm supposed to do!", she shouted trying to show her frustration ,"Heh, well first we gotta get out of here. It's not very safe at night. Not that it's particularly safe at anytime.", Nathan said nonchalantly walking down a street gesturing for (Y/n) to follow him
