Everyone had watched the heroes fall, yet some still believed that they were safe. Oh how wrong they were...A whole century had gone by but still no Defenders. Humanity gave up hope and practically allowed the Reapers to attack them, for they could not fight back. Reapers swarmed towns and people barely left their houses in fear of them. Normal things such as sugar, fruit, and milk were becoming limited and everyone was hungry.

This is where your story begins.......

(Y/n) had awoken from her sleep, and ran down the stairs of the orphanage. She was a nice girl and seemed to not have a single bone of bitterness in their body. Today was her 15th birthday and the elderly foster mother, Mimi, had wanted to make sure she was happy ,"(Y/n)! I have a surprise for you!", Mimi shouted from the kitchen ,"Coming!", (Y/n) replied and ran into the kitchen where small cupcakes sat on the counter ,"Mimi! How did you-? Where did you even get the ingredients for these!?", she exclaimed ,"I had to pull a couple strings but it's worth it.", Mimi said with a smile ,"It's your birthday and I wanted to thank you.", (Y/n) was confused ,"Thank me? What for?", the elderly woman hugged her ,"You've brought so much life into my life and I can't thank you enough.", (Y/n) hugged back and teared up a bit ,"HAPPY BIRTHDAY (Y/N)!!!", the younger children shouted and crowded around the taller girl, earning hugs and kisses on the forehead ,"(Y/n)! (Y/n)! Do you want to play catch with us in the yard?", the second youngest girl, Katia, asked pointing towards the door ,"Of course! ", she grabbed the little ball and went to the yard ,"Alright! Ready?", she lightly tossed it to the kids who scrambled to catch it, only to watch it bounce into the hedges ," I'll get it!", Katia said and ran to it. (Y/n) waited for the small girl to return only to be horrified by the sound of the girl's scream and to watch her run back behind (Y/n)'s legs,"R-reaper...", were the last words she heard before the ear-splitting screech of the Reaper ,"Inside. Now. Hurry!", she ushered them in and before she could get inside she felt a hand-like thing on her leg pull her back ,"NOO! LET GO OF ME!!!", (Y/n) shouted and then she stopped struggling and sadly smiled ,' At least the little ones will be ok..' she thought. A bright pink and blue light erupted from her and the Reaper screeched in pain and  disappeared  leaving the *hair color* haired girl confused
