Part 67
Part 67
~~~
Two days later, after those depressing incidents where in Bled was informed to be in a coma, and Pinkie found out that she had no mate anymore, the two girls, Rys and Pinkie, were both striving to cope up with the misfortunes and karmas they had received.
The weekend was finally over. But even though they didn't have the will to go to school, they still have to.
"I miss Bled," stated Rys in an almost inaudible voice as she ate her lunch with Pinkie.
The blonde haired girl nodded in agreement. She could feel her best friend. She missed him too; she missed her guy.
The atmosphere over their table really carried that sullen air. It was obvious that they were grieving over something.
...until the demon arrived.
Jace looked happy, a big smile drawn over to his handsome face, and it got wider when he saw his beloved mate. At last, after two days of not seeing her.
He rudely took a sit beside the sad Rys. But he didn't seem to notice the sadness that both of the girl were emitting. He just wrapped his arm around his mate's shoulder.
"Did you miss me?" He intendedly asked in a seducing tone, hoping that she would be aroused by his voice.
Rys shivered, not from the voice, but from the closeness of their bodies to each other. She was not able to respond because the man suddenly embraced her lovingly.
Pinkie remained quiet in her seat, but she was annoyed at the man in front of him.
Rude, just rude!
Pinkie silently watched them again and then shook her head, not wanting him to disturb their peace of eating. She cannot also deny that she was envious of her best friend, of still having other mates...
It was just too unfair, she thought.
Rys quickly took note the envious expression of her friend's face, so she immediately pushed her mate off her figure.
"Rys," he whined.
Rys ignored him and continued eating her food together with her blonde haired friend. Pinkie mentally smiled in the inside, seeing Rys was not having a hard time in the demon's advances.
"Shut up, Jace, no one needs you here," Pinkie said with a scowl on her tired face. And of course, Jace gave her a glare, not liking on what she said. But still, he still continued to disturb them.
The blonde haired girl groaned in pure irritation while Rys continued on ignoring the demon mate. Her thoughts focused back on her vampire mate.
Days passed by more, and it was still the same as ever. Bled hadn't received his justice yet and everyday, he was visited by the girls. Jace continued to annoy the hell out of them, but it never bothered Rys.
As for her Howl, she had never seen him ever since that day. For Hash, it was also the same with him. Rys cannot help admit that she missed both of their presence in her life.
With Cands, there were no news, which was weird. Considering that he just disappeared mysteriously. And for Theresa, Rys never ever dared visit that cruel witch.
After all, it was her fault.
Or just her deserving karma. Rys puffed out an air as she kicked a small rock in the sidewalk. She was currently going to a store to buy noodles for herself. The reason? Her mother and father went off to visit a friend that was in the hospital.
Karma, huh? If she only didn't wish such a greedy wish on having a boyfriend, she wouldn't be in this crazy situation.
Rys soon arrived in a nearby store and bought one noodle for her. As she was able to bought, she sat down on a vacant seat and ate her food in peace...
A little while later, she got a little thirsty and bought herself a bottle of water. But as she went to the counter, her arm bumped into someone. A familiar feeling of rippling electricity surged towards her, causing her green eyes to widen.
Oh, no... don't tell me that I just found my fourth mate.
Her hopes was sadly shattered when a deep voice behind her whispered so alluringly, "Mate."
She bit her lips and didn't turn around. Maybe if she will ignore him, he will think that it was just a mistake, that she was not really his mate.
She sighed and proceeded herself over the counter.
"Hey!" She heard him call out on which she ignored. It was hard though... She got the urge to turn around and face him, but she suppressed it.
It was finally her time to pay for the water. She brought out her money and paid it silently. But then, she still felt him behind her. It was as though he was staring her, observing her intently.
She wondered on what kind was he...
She swallowed her saliva as she finished paying. And it was her time now to leave the counter but then, she would have to turn around and face the man.
She swallowed her saliva and put on her courage. And then she turned, she was able to see a glimpse of the man's black eyes before she quickly looked down on the floor and walked away.
"Wait," he whispered to her and grabbed her bare wrist. She flinched a little at the sudden tingle that was given upon her. Unfortunately, he was really her mate...
"What's your name there, little girl?" He asked gently as if he was trying to be careful on not to scare the wits out of her.
She pressed her lips together and didn't say anything. She didn't want to think of the consequences if she would let the man into her life. She won't say it...
"Ah, com' on, little girl. We're mates. You could tell me your name. I won't ever harm you," he whispered after he brought his lips close to her ears. And again, Rys flinched.
I really have to leave right now, she thought while she clutched on to her bottle.
She sighed. "I-I-I don't know on what you are talking about," she stammered out a lie as her green eyes were still on the floor.
There was a silence for awhile, but he then suddenly pulled her to him. A yelp escaped her pink lips. The scene was pretty awkward because there were still some people there who was trying to line up, and the cashier was giving some raised eyebrows.
"You're lying, sweetie," he said and forced her face to look up to him with his index finger. A blush crept up her face upon seeing his so handsome face. He just looked like a being that was out of this world.
She gawked at him for awhile, but she soon went back to herself. She instantly pushed him off and gave him a glare.
"How dare you!" She exclaimed with the still faint blush on her cheeks.
The man smirked at her and suddenly bowed to her. "Name's Pars, by the way," he introduced while he ignored her remark.
Pars, such an odd name, the black haired girl thought to herself.
"And you? What's your name, sweetie?" He asked, his smirk softening into a gentle smile. She rolled her green eyes and just left him there. She went back to her seat again and continued to eat her noodle.
Pars might be a handsome guy, probably the most handsome from the mates, but she somehow didn't like his too "cool" attitude.
Rys opened her bottle of water and drank it until the bottle was half filled. As she put down the bottle, she felt someone sit beside her. It must be her new found mate.
Cue the sigh.
She closed her green eyes for a second and opened it again. While staring ahead of her, she opened her mouth and asked, her voice void of any emotions, "What?
In the corners of her green eyes, she saw him grinned playfully. "So, what's your name, my sweetie mate?"
Rys rolled her eyes and didn't answer his question. No, of course not, she won't. She won't add anymore people in her life that would bring chaos.
The black haired man pouted at the girl's resistance to his advancements. It was surprising though! How the hell could she resist this sexy body of a demon?
Not a few minutes later, Rys stood up from the chair. She had just finished eating her noodle and drinking her water. And now, it was her time to leave home. Pars also copied her. He stood up from his seat and waited for her to move.
Internally, Rys grunted.
Would he follow her home too? She gave him a quick glance. I hope not...
Rys started to take action. She left the store and walked back home. And unsurprisingly, creepy Pars was trailing behind her with a grin. Rys looked at him and gave her a disapproving frown.
"Creepy," she muttered.
And sure enough, creepy Pars heard that and responded back an "I heard that, sweetie".
Rys rolled her eyes. She obviously didn't want the man to learn on where she was living at, so she led him to a place. And not to Pinkie's house. Her last resort was to go to Theresa's house as much as she didn't want to.
"Where are we going?" Pars asked as he was so familiarized by the surroundings as they walked on and on.
Rys didn't answer.
Before long, they were now in front of Theresa's house. Pars was shock on why his mate knew of this place, but before he could interrogate the girl. Rys knocked on the door and quickly, it was answered by a certain vampire.
Hash.
The time seemed to stop around them when blue eyes clashed on green ones. A lump seemed to form on her throat while she took in his very exhausted appearance. He just looked so pitiful...
Oh, God, what have you done to yourself? Rys sadly thought.
In contrary to his disheveled appearance, Hash cracked out a small smile to them, or more directly to her.
But it was a smile filled with sufferings, guilt, and regret.
"Hi, there," he said, but his eyes were now on Pars.
She bit her lips, knowing that it all just hurt.
I'm sorry...
