Part 35

What?! was Rys all could think as her face bursted into the color red. She gazed at the man's face, stunned, and tried to decipher whether the man was joking or not.

      Meanwhile Bled's fist clenched. He was now filled in anger and hatred for his brother Hash. It didn't help the fact that his brother was intimately holding Rys right now.

       "Broth-"

      It was then Hash interrupted him with a burst of laughter. Hash was laughing too hard that he let go of Rys on which Bled took it as a chance to retrieve her.

      Rys could do nothing, but let Bled held her in a very possessive manner while still growling at the laughing Hash.

     "F*ck! You should have seen your face, brother!" Hash said after a long moment of laughing like a stupid man. I mean a stupid vampire.

      Oh, it's just a joke. Rys can't helped heave out a sigh...Slightly disappointed by it.

      "Are you playing with me?" Bled sneered with his teeth gritted.

      "Of course not!" Hash smiled while he let out a peace sign.

       Actually you are. Rys sweatdropped and tried to take off Bled's hands from her still messy form.

      After all, she had just woken up from bed. She still looked very horrible and also, lets not forget that she cried to sleep last night.

      Oh yeah... She suddenly felt sad when she remembered on how Mr. Ulton sacrificed himself for her. He died, and it was because of her.

      Why did he save me? It's not like that we knew each other very well. Rys pursed her lips on the question that will never be answered.

       Weirdly, shiver ran down her spine as she thought more of her dead mate. And it kinda felt nice and somehow made her comfortable.

       "Why?" She mumbled.

       She was snapped out from her daze when she felt a pinch on her cheeks.

       What the hell?!

       Only to realize that it was Hash. She was not able to scold him because warmthness instantly flooded to her cheeks. Instead, Bled did the honor to scold Hash for the blushing her.

     "Hash! Don't you f*cking touch my mate!" Bled growled. Still trying to suppress the urge to punch his annoying brother.

       Hash only gave out a smirk. But then it unexpectedly disappeared.

       "Did you feel that?" He asked them, to which she shrugged. Having no idea on what he was saying.

      Rys turned to Bled and saw him with a very distasteful frown. But well, damn! He still looked good even though he got that frown on his lips. She must be really lucky to have a handsome mate like him...

       But then...aren't Howl or Drex good-looking too?

       She sighed. However, even though they were handsome, the other one was taken while the other could be dead.

       Or not...

      An inside voice whispered within her mind.

       "I felt it," Bled muttered and narrowed his blue eyes in front of him. "Something dark and dangerous...I felt it before at the corpse of that dead man."

       "Dead man. Ah~ must be Mr. Ulton, Rys's science teacher."

       Rys froze when Hash's dark blue eyes connected with her.

       How does he freaking know that?! Is he~ Is he~?!

      Bled growled, "Are you stalking her?"

      Hash looked nonchalant. As if he didn't really care whether he was making his little brother mad.

     "Yeah. Ever since she is back. But I'm not the only one at fault, even you stalk her."

     Rys completely agreed with Hash. At times, she will catch Bled not far away from her, watching her.

     Bled rolled his eyes. "But that is a different case, I'm his mate while you're not."

      Hash huffed. "Oh really? Why? Have you ever seen Rys stalking you back?"

      Mmmm... She gave Bled a blank stare as she asked him, "Have you?"

      Embarrassed, his cheeks flamed red. He shook his head as he quickly reverted away his gaze.

      "No, but?! - I mean," He paused suddenly before growling at the air before him. "That feeling again!"

      What the hell was Bled talking about? Was Bled trying to change the topic? Rys turned her attention to see Hash with a now serious expression.

      "Dangerous..." He muttered, "It seems like a being of darkness is very near to our location."

      Rys gave him a confused look. "Um, aren't you a being of darkness?"

      "Yes...but this one is more dangerous, more evil. More powerful than us vampires."

     Rys's attention was snatched by Bled who had his narrowed eyes red. Alert of their surroundings.

      A knock was heard on the door, making Rys jumped from her place, shocked by the sudden sound.

     "Rys, are you in there? Breakfast is ready." She heard Mom's call at the other side of the door.

       She bit her pink lips before asking the two siblings for a permission to open the door. Bled's eyes were back to normal blue when she turned to them. They both nodded, a cue that she can open it.

      She slowly walked over the door and opened it. To see Mom with a bright smile painted on her face.

      "Ah~ good morning, Rys." She greeted the other guys, "And good morning to both of you as well."

      Wait, did Mom meet Hash already? As if Mom can read her thoughts, she slowly turned to Rys.

       "I just met Hash awhile ago. I learned that he's one of your friends, so I let him enter the house. Charming guy, he is." Rys sweatdropped at Mom's naive nature. Just because Hash said that they're friends, she'll just believe him?!

      "Thank you, Mrs. Flirst." Hash chuckled sexily.

      Bled pushed down the growl from escaping his throat. Stupid Hash, he thought.

      "So, would you both like to join in breakfast? I would be so pleased if you could..." Mom asked but unfortunately, she instantly got rejected by Hash.

     "I'm sorry. I just passed by to visit Rys and my broth-"

      "Wait, you're both brothers?!" Mom exclaimed in disbelief.

      Bled groaned as he confirmed, "Sadly, we are."

     Rys could only forged a smile while she let her mom speak, "Oh, wow...didn't expect that at all."

      "And why is that?" Hash asked innocently with a soft smile.

      "Now that I think about it, it's not surprising at all. You're both handsome and charming."

      "Oh," Hash sounded disappointed before acting like a charming man he always was.

      "Anyway, I should go. I mean we should go."  He suddenly grabbed Bled's arm and pulled Bled beside him. Before Bled could complain, Hash excused themselves. "We are going to do something for awhile."

       "Aw~" Mom pouted. "And here I was hoping that Bled could join us in breakfast."

      Rys rolled her eyes. "Mom, just let them be...it's not like that we really need them to be here."

      Bled glared at her, feeling hurt inside. I mean who wouldn't be hurt when your mate said that in front of you? Hash could only chuckle at his brother's reaction...and soon after, he pulled Bled away with him.

     Leaving the mother and the girl alone together.

      "Rys..." Mom turned to her with a soft expression, making the young girl gave her a surprised look.

     "...I'm so glad for you." Mom finished and suddenly, enveloped her child into a big heartwarming hug.

      Rys could only smile to her mom's affectionate touch.
