Part 17
Part Seventeen :
Mmm. She looks so normal which sucks. Sorry, Mr. Cross, but this is the best thing she can wear for their first date.
A simple white and pink checkered flannel shirt and skinny jeans - tada! That is the best outfit she can muster. White sneakers; and to finish her look, she tied her hair into a ponytail. She could not give herself a complete makeover because she isn't good with those things.
T^T Huhu.
This sucks. Giving herself one last look, she ran outside her room; but not before mumbling a silent prayer. She hopes that Mr. Cross won't leave her after this. As she entered the living room, she saw her vampire mate on the sofa.
His outfit is still the same from awhile ago. With his long sleeve dark shirt and denim pants, he still manages to catch her eyes. Sipping his brown mug of coffee, he put it down for awhile and stared at it hard.
Rys coughed.
"Sorry for making you wait."
Mr. Cross quickly stood up and turned to face her with a smile but froze as he saw her. Sh*t, she must be really that ugly. Rys averted her green eyes in pure shame.
٩( ᐛ )و "I'm ugly-"
"I know," she whispered as she threw out a fake laugh and smile. He proceeded to gawk at her with that weird expression, almost causing her to cry in shame and sadness."
Finally, those words punched him. Ugly? What was she saying? Bled's eyes widened as he almost had an urge to slap her mate. "What the f*ck are you thinking?"
"You're beautiful."
ಠ_ಠ "Damn damn beautiful," he added.
She faced him, and she saw the undeniable truth in his twinkling blue eyes. A blush formed on her cheeks as she scolded herself for having too low esteem.
So she's beautiful, huh?
Heh.
"Well, you aren't bad yourself," she whispered in an awkward manner, trying to push down the urge to squeal and jump from his compliment. Rys is beautiful? That's her first ever compliment she has received from a man.
Bled cannot help but blush. He wasn't really able to prepare himself for this date, so he doesn't really deserve that praise. Okay, be cool, Bled. He let out a smirk.
"Calling me handsome, eh?"
Rys's cheeks flared up as she didn't expect him to walk over her and give him a light pat on the head. He whispered those words, even using an intentional seductive tone.
That damn- "Bled!"
He chuckled at how cute she is when she glared at him with those bright green eyes. Sometimes, he thinks that she glaring at him all day would be a nice idea.
Yah, he knows.
He sounds like an idiot.
∩^ω^∩ When it's all about her.
"Hihi. Sorry," he lightly apologized. Rys almost forgave him, but he continued with that half smile that annoys her to no end.
"-Lhyre."
Her eyes widened at the mention of her very first name. Geez, that bloodsucker! Did he just call her that. She didn't even permit him to use that name on her.
She flicked him in the nose. "Why you!"
"Don't call that!"
The human girl threw him out a scowl, blushing a little as the vampire asked her the reason why. Just why? Well, that name is only reserved for her future boyfriend.
"You see, um," she tripped on her words as she tried to explain.
"Well, only my dear future boyfriend can call me that."
"Eh? But am I not your boyfriend?"
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Bled smirked as Rys gawked at him with a slight raised eyebrow. What the hell did he just say? Did he- oh my f*cking gosh.
"What the f*ck."

Gosh, she never expected this place to be Bled's choice of all locations. Besides being abandoned, this place looks scary as hell. If Bled has a coffin, she would gladly have a date there than this f*cking park.
"The park, huh?"
Automatically, Bled blushed at his own stupid idea as Rys continued to raise her eyebrow at him with a puzzled. She just couldn't believe that this vampire chose the most cliche locations ever. The human girl stared at him, expecting for a logical answer.
Bled mumbled, "Pinkie texted me that the park is a great place to date."
What?
"What?" So, that damn friend of hers helped him too? How the h*ck in the first place did he even manage to get her number? Rys's forehead creased as she wondered how to respond.
"Why this park then?"
It isn't lovely. Creepiness defined this abandoned park the most. Rys slightly shivered as a light wind blew across her. Is he planning to bite her in the neck and make her his bloodbank here? The human girl hopes not.
Instead of a dark smirk, a gentle smile broke out his handsome face as he stared at here with quiet blue eyes. "Have you forgotten?"
∩^ω^∩ "We accepted each other as mates in this location."
Well, that made her paused. In an instant, she scrutinized her surrounding with narrowed green eyes; and sure enough, he is right. This park is still empty like before; and right now, they are the only ones.
Bled grabbed her hand, happy, as tingles ripped out from the sweet contact. Glancing at his figure, she found him in a dazed state with a small smile painting his lips.
"Bled?"
Immediately, Mr. Cross snapped out from his dazed state when he heard her sweet voice calling out his name. The small smile in his face was now directed towards her as he faced the girl. "Yes?"
Rys sighed, squeezing his hand.
She's sorry, Mr. Cross, but she is too curious about this park that she couldn't stop but ask a gloomy question. "How come the park is empty, Bled?"
His smile faltered.
He didn't answer for awhile as if he is resolving whether to tell her the truth or not. When he looked at her bright green eyes, he felt like he just had to tell her the truth anyways.
"Mostly everyday, women are found here in the park. Dead. Their deaths are so mysterious that even right now, it isn't solved. Even when someone discovers the truth, that person will suddenly got missing and never ever be able to speak out the hidden truth."
Could it be?
"Is it you?" she softly asked.
He smirked, flashing her his sharp fangs. "Do you want to die?"
It was so sudden that she got scared and let out a soft whimper. So, he really wants to murder her after all. He's going to murder her, and then he will dump her body here after. The human girl flinched when he hugged her petite figure. Is he coming in for the kill?
Bled wanted to bite himself after he heard her soft whinper. Aish! He shouldn't have made that joke. She took it way seriously. When he tried to hug her, her body flinched. He only wanted to bite himself more.
Damn stupid Bled.
"Of course not. I won't kill you. It's just a joke, okay?" he assured as he gently hugged her. She sniffed as she stood there.
So he won't kill her?
She smiled.
"And I love you way too much to even kill my precious mate."
I love you? Her smile vanished.
Bled retreated himself away from the hug and noticed her ugly frown. "Are you alright?" He softly asked, concern with her sudden mood changes. It must be the location, right? It must be too gloomy for her own taste.
He sighed. "I'm sorry for choosing this place-"
No. It's not about that, Mr. Cross. "No, you shouldn't be sorry."
She softly breathed out. It's just that she have other four mates. But she's scared that he will be angry if he ever discovered the truth. She gazed at him, suddenly feeling emotions. Sadness, joy, and anger. She didn't know why, but she got the sudden feeling to-
"I like you too," she confessed.
I like you?
Bled wanted to jump. Even if it's not I love you, it's enough. It's progress. He grinned in a playful manner as he patted her head with his face flushed with pink.
"Thank you," he whispered with twinkles in his bright blue eyes. He was happy. Well, this day for him has been noted to be his happiest day in his life.
"Haha," she laughed, unsure.
"So what now?"
Mr. Cross happily grinned as he reached for his bag, taking out a blanket and neatly placing it on the green grass
"It's time for a picnic date."
What? This is so cliche again. Rys stared at him with wide eyes as he returned the gaze with his own smirk.
She went flustered.
