*Part 02
—— [ PART TWO ] ——
Slightly tilting her head to the side and giving the house of that damned hoax a look for the one last time, the girl may now admit it to herself and her once big ego— that I, sad to say, am just one heck of a desperate hopeless romantic.
The girl only wanted to ask the old lady for some advice?!
Or even anything!
—Anything to help her get a boyfriend!!! But look at what she got from it? Lies! "Psh, seriously?! Soulmates?" she cannot help but scoff as the lonely girl took small but quick steps.
"Damn it. She could have said anything but instead she told me a bunch of lies to get my hopes high. To top it all, that damn witch exaggerated it," she thought to herself. Rys wanted to be flattered, but she couldn't because the girl is serious about it. Rys let out a scoff again.
Poor she ε-('v`; )
And now, Rys would be forever labeled by her best friend a "hopeless romantic." Sighing to herself, the girl looked at the black sky and found herself staring at a quitely covered moon and some few dull-colored stars.
What a very boring night.
How can she manage to find her very beloved soulmate when it's already dark outside? Rys slowly reached for her cellphone and called that dim witted friends of hers— who, by the way, is the one friend who recommended the damn "witch."
Aish, and Pinkie said that she's legit. Dialing her friend on the phone, the girl could only mutter out complaints and insults throughout the somehow useless conversation.
*** PART TWO ***
It was truly amazing how Pinkie managed to get through that conversation with Rys; but thinking back to that conversation, maybe Pinkie was not listening to her friend. "She isn't a hoax," Blonde haired Pinkie sleepily yawned after all those talks she got from Rys.
"Seriously?" Rys gasped at her in the other line, "That's all you have to say for me?!" Pinkie hummed as a response, barely even processing in the words Rys had stated. She was just too sleepy. Too exhausted to even bother listen to her friend... She closed her blue eyes, hoping for the sleep her friend had disrupted.
"I'm sorry," she murmured, "Can we just continue this talk tomorrow? I mean— it is late already, and I'm just too too sleepy. Okay?" She heard Rys sigh in the other line; and sure enough, Rys was very frustrated. The black–haired girl's rubbing her temples as Rys attempted to think of some response; but even before the girl can even say any, her friend—
Oh, her dear friend hang up.
"Seriously!" Rys threw out a scowl at the air before her for that friend of hers. With an annoyed look, she harshly put down the phone from her ear and into her pocket. Meanwhile, back to the sleepy Pinkie, you can see her now with wide eyes— alert due to the fact that everything had processed to her mind already.
Five. Possessive. Soulmates?!
"Oh my gosh!" Pinkie exclaimed to herself, immediately sitting up in her bed. Giggles escaped her lips as she embraced a soft pillow of hers close to her chest, tightening her hold to that object later. "Oh my gosh?!" she giddily screamed, quite happy for her friend. If the witch is really true, then her friend could have won some lots of luck already!!! Pinkie smiled.
*** PART TWO ***
Attempting to vent out her annoyance and anger, Rys huffed out some sigh as the girl proceeded to stroll down the sidewalk. Quite alone in her own thoughts, the black haired Rys kinda regretted not bringing her earphones with her. But then again, clearly the girl can just blast out some music right now— no one can really judge her taste of music, for there is no one in the park.
But is there really no one?
Unbeknownst to her, a pair of hungry eyes is watching her. To be more specific, a pair of hungry red eyes is stalking her figure. His presence— he's almost invicible and almost non-existence, but it is almost due to the fact that he can act so quiet and can expertly hide in the darkness. The girl was so unaware of his presence, only walking and walking until someone wrapped his arms around her. It was cold— too cold!
She gasped.
Despite having a jacket on, she can still feel that very cold sensation. It was odd. In addition, it was even more odd due to that stranger suddenly embracing her from behind out of totally nowhere. These odd touch and gesture broughts her the chills. Is this man dead? she thinks. What the fuck? she wanted to say. But despite all that, she said no words. Her mouth was shut. Her body just replied with a grimace.
"Don't you dare try to even walk away."
Rys felt that chills again, feeling really damn threathened by his words. However, in spite of the fear she felt, she felt a bit entranced by that rather deep voice of his. Daring to look at him, she tilted her head to get a clearer view; and wow, he— he is way too handsome!
Just way way too handsome...
And his blue eyes.
His blue eyes entranced her a lot. Scared her a lot. It was lit with hunger and nothing else. But why hunger? Rys was perplexed and was forced to think of such things. In a moment of panic, she attempted to escape his embrace. The good looking stranger at that time was also in awe of her green eyes but that only lasted for a few seconds due to her attempts of escape.
Unfortunately for this weak mortal, he cannot let her escape. She will be his next victim and his next meal. He smirked as he tightened his grip on her. A look of fear was given to him, but he only chuckled. Death would certainly come to her after this pathetic girl had the pleasure of being his meal.
"Please let go of me!" Rys said, trying to be polite despite all these rude things the stranger had already inflicted on her. Rys was internally hoping that he will let her go, but of course that would not be the case. The stranger smirked. Seriously, she is asking that? he thought, amused— to which he of course replied a "no."
No?
No?! Rys felt worry rise up within her. She was of course worried and scared. Sure! This man was undeniably handsome, but this man— he was really creepy. I do not care what he looks like, but his intentions. I have to know his intentions aren't bad— but Rys possibly can see it now. She tried to keep her fear at bay as the girl raised an eyebrow to question him.
"Excuse me?" she said.
"Excuse me?" he repeated with the intention to mock the scared girl. Rys flinched when the man released fits of amused chuckles. "Why would I let my meal go?" he questioned, sniffing her afterward. "Do you want me to starve?" Rys felt goosebumps, sensing the weird sensation of his mouth being near to his neck, feeling his frosty breath.
Meal? At first, she was puzzled; but when the blueness of his eyes vanished and had been replaced with the bloody color, her mind went all scattered for fear and worry were everything she felt. Red eyes?! she thought, this man got red eyes?! Although these guts of her tell her to run away, terror and his hands keep her in her place
Somehow, despite with all that, a recollection from awhile ago stirred up in her mind, and the girl even had the urge to scoff at the reminisce of those unpleasant memories.
And that witch said that I'm going to meet my soulmate?! Where is it now? I can only see this guy. This monster who is about to eat me! If she is going to meet her soulmate, then it cannot possibly be this monster?!
Judging from his red eyes, Rys would assume that he's a vampire. And she thought that they don't exist, so there may be a chance that he exi— No, am I going crazy?! Vampires!
She chuckled to herself... Vampires can't possibly be true. I'm clearly not on drugs, but why am I seeing this image?! She closed her greens and opened it, blinking several times to see if he'll disappear.
When he didn't, she mumbled, "yo— you're really a vampire." Despite the calm facade the girl had managed to put on, her mind appeared to be all over the place. Rys was disappointed and somehow pleased a little at the fact, but the girl should not be thinking that right now. She should focus— Rys should be focused on thinking of her plans to escape. The stranger, seeing her distracted in her thoughts, took the opportunity to devour her.
"I'm afraid that you'll be my victim for the night," he seductively whispered to her ear as he pushed her black hair away to reveal the delicous bare neck, stunning the hell out of her figure. "I could only suggest that you pray to your god or gods to survive this bite of mine." He laughed— "But then again, it's all futile. No lady had ever survived this fangs."
He opened his mouth, revealing those fangs that he mentioned earlier. He, with that damn grin, flaunted it to her before clashing those sharp teeth to her skin. Quickly, the pain zapped her. She bit her lips to prevent any sounds of leaving while he meanwhile enjoyed that blood of hers. He had not expected her blood to be this tasty. To be delicious. The most intoxicating blood that he had ever drunk. The vampire moaned at the pleasure as the teenage girl in his arms slowly got dizzy.
And then, came the tingles.
Pricking his lips with those strange tingles, it prevented him from sucking anymore red liquid. He retreated his tainted lips, still feeling the sparks. The man slowly placed his index finger to his lips, quite wide-eyed from the sensation.
What the hell, he thought.
Then something came up his mind. No, she— she couldn't be the one, right?! She is human?! She is human?! He does not need a mate right now. He doesn't want to be tied down to a human mate right now! He pushed away the girl, and Rys was stunned by his actions. Although she was feeling a bit dizzy, she managed to remain standing in her place. Deep in her thoughts, she was thinking why he let her go. "What happened?" she whispered to him, placing a hand on her neck.
He snapped his attention at her. His eyes— It was soft at first but hardened when he realized that he had shown a gentle expression. "No, this cannot be! I don't want this!" he muttered to himself. Rys was perplexed by the strange behavior the vampire was acting out, but it eventually dawned to her. Her green eyes widened.
She felt sober again as the girl gasped out the words, wanting a confirmation, "Are you— are you my soulmate?!" He snapped out from his in denial state. His eyes were glowing red as he glared down at her pathetic figure. She felt small in his gaze, and she tried to take a step back.
She— she did not think that it would come true, but it came true. More over, this man is not even human— he's a vampire?! "No, I would not accept any humans as my mate! Never!" he cried out to her. But judging by his state who looked so despair by everything, he was not even paying any attention to her.
Finding herself an opportunity, she took it and ran away from the monster. Rys didn't bother to go and try to speak with him. Those actions he did and words he said were enough— it all pointed out that he despises her as his mate. Although she was not hurt by it, she felt her heart slightly aching. Psh, must be a side effect. Rys didn't even know him that well, so why would she be hurt?
She gave out a huff and tried to accelerate more her run, hearing him from behind— cussing and threatening her to come back.
Taking the route to Theresa's domain, the girl silently prayed for her own safety. She thought that she could not almost reach her destination; but due to her being able to mislead the guy, she was able to. Rys knocked on the door, loud and hard. Cautiously, she turned her head to observe the surroundings behind her. Rys turned in front again and saw Theresa greeting her figure with a subtle smile.
"Are you okay, my dear?"
*** PART TWO ***
"So he did try to kill you," the old witch softly murmured as she gave the human girl's wound a quick glance with her calculating gray eyes. What does she mean about that? Rys heavily panted as she supported her exhausted figure with both of her hands placed on the wall.
"He's a vampire!" the girl cried out as if blaming all what just happened to the old witch.
Theresa threw out a nod. Rys continued to vent out her anger for the man she had met earlier. "And he even tried to eat me!" she said. In her tone was despair and sadness, but everyone knew that it's just an effect of the bond.
She cannot believe this. Rys could not. With a soft whimper, she took a sat on the floor with teary eyes as she rubbed her temples, stressed out by the situation the girl had landed on. "He wants to kill me," she now mumbled; green eyes on the ground.
Oddly, she felt sad.
But it's not her emotions. Surely, it isn't hers. Theresa quietly stared at her before bringing herself up to pat the human girl's head.
"He wouldn't dare kill you."
Theresa softly smiled. "Unless he wants to feel the pain of losing his other half." Rys looked up at her figure, curiosity in her eyes. Pain of losing his other half? What did she say? Theresa didn't to reply as she retreated back from her and left the living room to probably gather some snacks for the human girl.
Now that night Rys stayed with the old witch as they both knew that it is dangerous for the her to go out when her vampire mate is searching for her outside.
*** PART TWO ***
"Fuck!" he swore, kicking the tree, as the vampire realized that he had lost that damn mortal. He can't just believe it. A mortal?! Really? "Are you fucking kidding me?!" he snarled at the tree before his form, kicking it again and again. His once blue eyes were glowing red; anger was quite visible. He wanted to kill her; he wanted to fucking kill her! The vampire should have killed her awhile ago... but why didn't I kill her earlier?
Caught off guard by that sudden thought, he snarled again. These damn strange emotions that he was currently feeling and strange thoughts that kept on invading his mind— he did not like it even for a bit. He had to stop this. He had to stop this! Having a mate would only bring him to his downfall. The vampire gave up from kicking and let go a sigh to the dull skies above.
Just why her, he thought in frustration.
