Appa and Manik's phone conversation

Manik, Nandini morning se bhaut happy hai, I am glad you are doing what I told you to do, said a happy Appa

Yes Appa, said an obedient Manik

But what did you do that she is beaming with happiness? asked a curious Appa

Appa your daughter is happy and that is what should concern you. NO DETAILS!

But Manik I am the married one here and I am the experienced one here and never have I ever seen Radha this happy. So, I want to know what you did with Nandini that she is this happy like her smile is radiating in the whole house. Looks like I need some tips to make Radha this happy too

Maniks thinks, "wtf how do I tell Appa why is Nandini so happy? Can she not contain her happiness. Lord how do I say Appa that she is this happy and content after fulfilling our naughty deeds. How can I ask Appa to spank Amma...... no no I can't do this!" 

Appa screamed over the phone"Manik where are you lost? You need to tell me the secret so I can restore the romance in my marriage"

Appa you know my soon to wife is YOUR DAUGHTER and you are asking what I do to her to make her happy?

But I am asking as your Appa. Here I have a dual relationship and I am managing both

Manik shakes his head and took a deep breath, "Appa I think you need to take Amma for a long honeymoon. All these years you both been worried about Nandini's future that you never took some time off for yourself. So, I think it's only fair that you give Amma all your time and attention now"

What honeymoon at this age? What will people say? What will our in-laws say? Daughters marriage and parents are going for honeymoon. NO! NO! That's not going to happen 

Appa, I am your son and I am your in laws and I think you should give all your time and attention to amma now. Okay if you feel weird calling it a honeymoon; just say it's a vacation for relaxation just for amma and you. Do you know any place amma wanted to go or what places she has in her bucket list 

Appa thinks for a while, "Radha always wanted to go Kashmir"

So, it's final I am booking 10 days vacation for you and amma. 

Why would you? I can book it myself Manik 

Appa you always said you're my appa so please let me do this. I never got to spoil my parents once I was capable enough so let me spoil you and amma both

Marriage functions begins

Manik is getting ready in his room. 

So all ready for your Tamilian wedding Manik? asked Cabir

Manik raised his eyes to look at beaming Cabir entering his room followed by all his friend 

We are very happy for you Manik, said Mukti

Who would have thought after almost 9 years you and Nandini will be getting married, said Alia 

That too 8 years and few months of no contact at all, added Druv

I'm so happy bhai finally bhabhi-maa will come and she will be official OURS, screamed Jaan

Some time I wonder if you both were secretly in touch with each other all these 8 years, said Cabir with a raised eyes 

Manik chuckle hearing all his friends. Yes, he always knew it will be Nandini or NO-ONE else but he himself wasn't sure he will be getting married to his Nandini this soon. They dated for sometime when they both were young and wild in college; when she was 18 and he was 19. Then distance of 8 years and now they are getting married. Maybe they should have dated for sometime; know each other better, know the mature version of each other. He is no longer 19 now nor is she 18 anymore. They are not the same person, they have changed but what remains constant is their LOVE!

Marriage is no fairy tail, it is a COMMITMENT. Love happens in a blink of a moment and it feels magical; that's for shows and movies but it's different in real life. There is no pre-narrated script in real life and it's not a 3 hour movie with a happy ending. Marriage in real life is complicated, you share your life with someone, adjust and make compromises for them, fight with them and fight for them, some days are mundane and some days you question if marrying was even a best decision but in all this chaos; you make sure to hold your partners hand and walk together till THE END! That's marriage - full of ups and downs but never letting each other go. 

Manik smiles, "No Cabir, Nandini and I were never secretly kept in touch. Somewhere I knew she is the one and luckily she also thought and felt the same"

Bhai we should leave now, said Jaan. Everyone left the room with Jaan, Cabir was about to go but Manik held his arms tight asking his to stay 

I knew it! You are having cold feet Manik but it's fine. sabko hota hai and it's Nandini. Our Nandini - the sweet, innocent and naive Nandini. You will be fine and will be happily married 

Manik gave a fake smile, "You done?"

Confused Cabir nodes his head

I'm not having any cold feet Cabir. I am perfectly fine. I am about to marry the love of my life; why will I have cold feet

Why did you stop me then? asked confused Cabir

Dude, what's the plan? When are you planning to propose Navya? You were planning about 10 months back and she said "YES" and "NO" both at the same time. Like a "MAYBE" answer so what's the plan? You said once I get married you will propose again 

Oh that! Yes, phele tu ghodi (horse) chad le, fir meri bari, said Cabir

After completing the Panda Kaal Muhurtham (puja) everyone settled for a south Indian lunch besides Nandini. Appa kept explaining the importance of the Panda Kaal Muhurtham (puja)

"We perform this ritual in order to ensure that every other pre-wedding, wedding, and post-wedding customs all run smoothly and without a hitch. It is believed that it brings goddess of luck, wealth, and prosperity to the married couple, said Appa"

This is so cool Appa. Whenever I get married you have to make sure to do this puja, said Cabir winking at Navya

Appa, why is Nandini not having lunch with us? asked our anxious Manik

She still have other rituals to perform, after that she will have lunch, explained Appa

Nandini came back in a different silk sari ready for another ritual.

Nandini, after this we will perform Sumangali Prarthanai and Pallikal Thellichal. Manik you should go home now and get some rest. Tomorrow we will perform Vrutham at your house, said Appa

But we need "Guru" or "Father" to perform that ritual, point out Druv 

Am I not Manik's appa? questioned Appa

Manik smiles and nodded; indeed he gained a father; Appa is HIS FATHER TOO

But if you are going to be at Malhotra mansion tomorrow who will support here tomorrow, asked Cabir

"What I am here for" comes a voice and everyone turned to find Rishab at the door. Nandini ran and hugged him tight

Bhai, I thought you will come tomorrow, said Nandini 

They took so long to approve my leave request my dear sister but do not worry I am here nah, said Rishab

Manik with his friends were all set to leave he kept looking for Nandini. Due to all these rituals he not for once got one on one with his Nandini. He tried talking to her but all her relatives kept teasing her so he had to leave. After few minutes Nandini ran to him

Where is Mukti? asked Nandini 

Seriously Mukti? You haven't talked to me since morning and now that finally I have you all by myself, you want Mukti, complained Manik

We have a lifetime TOGETHER Manik but for now I need Mukti

Fine; she is out with all our other friends 

Nandini ran out followed by confused and annoyed Manik

Mukti, called Nandini 

Mukti turned and asked, "why are you all huffing and puffing? Don't tell me you are having a cold feet. Dude I am not the best person to come for marriage advices, joked Mukti

Whatever it is just have patience and listen okay! DO NO REACT, LISTEN FIRST. YOUR DECISION WILL BE LAST, said Nandini

What is this about? asked confused Mukti

Nandini made Mukti turn and suddenly the floor slipped under her feet
