The Mansion

It's been exactly two days since Hinata been to the bookstore and she finally finished all six books, being the bookworm she was, all she did was locked herself in her room and read; only getting out when it was necessary.

Now she was bored.

"I guess I can get more books." she suggested.

She got up, grabbing a purple button up, white jeans and and flats. She grabbed all six books and put them in a bag so she wouldn't have trouble carrying them around.

Walking out her room she went downstairs.

"So she is alive." Neji statirized.

Hinata rolled her eyes. "I was at the diner yesterday..you know, working." she said sarcastically.

"Where are you going that your majesty has risen from her room?" Neji mocked, giving a bow.

Hinata chuckled. "If you must know, I'm going to the bookstore to return these books." she answered making a gesture towards the bag in her hand.

"Okay, don't be too long, I was just getting started on lunch."

"Okay mother, see you later." She laughed when she saw the offended look on his face.

On her way to her destination, she tried her hardest to ignore the mesmerising gate; the mansion itself.

But she also failed in doing so.

Hinata pushed the gate finally allowing herself to take a footstep onto the property.

A cold shiver ran up and down her spine, goosebumps crawling down her limbs.

She felt cold.

'Well this is unnatural.' she thought.

She clung to her bookbag, and continued on the short stoned path.

When she made it towards the entrance, she stopped to stare at the beautiful rose bushes that were placed right in front of the house.

"Obviously someone has been taking care of them."

She walked towards one bush memorized by its beauty. She softly touched a rose petal, and watched as a water drop fell from the rose. The flowers themselves seem to sparkle from the sun's bright rays.

Little did she know, a small little camera watched her from above; not realizing that the house itself came with survailence.

She reached slowly towards another.

Until a hand grabbed her by her wrist.

"What are you doing?!" the boy yelled at her, his face just mere inches away from hers.

"I-I" Hinata stuttered.

She found herself staring into his pearl blue eyes, filled with anger. She took in more of his features. His golden hair, his tan skin, and the prominent birthmarks on his cheeks.

He leaned in closer; her eyes widened.

"I said. What. Are. You. Doing." he demanded.

"I'm s-sorry, I didn't- I mean, I was looking and.." she stammered.

He looked down, stood up with his hand still around her wrist and pulled her towards the door.

'Oh no. What did I do? Is he going to kill me? Lock me in here? Torture me?'

Her thoughts ran wild, and she didn't know what was coming next, all that she knew was that she was being dragged into the boy's house. She tried pulling away but his tight grip was firm around her wrist that it hurt.

"Look, I'm sorry for touching your roses, I really am please don't-"

"Shut up."

His voice was harsh and cold, it was loud enough to echo throughout the large house, and she went quiet in that instant.

She stared at the floor, watching as their feet slapped the floor with harsh, fast paced, steps.

Then she saw as the floor changed from wood, to white tiles and she looked up.

They were in a bathroom.

"Um, excuse me?"

He ignored her.

He walked towards the mirror and opened it, as there were shelves inside and he rummaged through it.

He grabbed something and closed the mirror, then faced her.

Hinata stared him down also, but soon became scared as he walked near her.

'Why didn't I run when I had the chance!' she yelled at herself.

When he was close enough, she closed her eyes tight, and felt him grab hold of her wrist again.

She flinched in his grasp.

"Open your hand." he demanded, but his voice wasn't as loud as before this time.

She did as she was told.

Then she felt him wrap something around her index finger.

She opened her eyes in shock and stared down at her finger.

"A band-aid?" she whispered questionly.

"You carelessly cut yourself on one of the rose's thorns like an idiot." he said, putting emphasis on the last word.

Hinata pouted. She was a little embarrassed, but also felt bad to think that he was trying to harm her.

He was being nice.. In his own way, right?

He grabbed her tightly by her wrist again and they started walking again.

"H-hey, wait."

They were back to the front door.

"What." he asked harshly.

Now that she got his attention, she felt felt embarrassed all over again.

"U-um.. Thank you." she said softly.

"Don't come back here again."

Were his final words before he pushed her out the door, as she almost stumbled, then slammed the door behind her.

Hinata was left standing there.

"Jerk." she mumbled under her breath.

She started her way out the property, and after she made it past the gate, her body felt warm again.

"Very unnatural."

She began on her way again. Walking to the place she was supposed to go.

She couldn't get his face out of her mind. His eyes are what intrigued her the most..

'Scratch that.. His birthmarks definitely stand out the most.' she thought.

They looked exactly, if not, similar to whiskers.

"He didn't..seem that bad." she sort of admitted.

"Who didn't?"

She looked up and saw her day dimmed just a bit.

"Hey beautiful." the voice said then gave her a winked.

"Kiba, I would rather you get out of my way."

"C'mon, a lady shouldn't be walking by herself."

"Because of people like you?"

"Yeah- I mean no."

She walked passed him and sped up her pace.

He caught up to her. "You still didn't answer my question."

"And you still didn't go away."

"I'll go away if you answer my question~" he sing-songed.

"Why does it matter who I was talking about?" she asked, irritated.

"Because you said he, so I'm curious."

She rolled her eyes.

"You act like I belong to you."

"Oh, not yet."

"I have no obligation to tell you anything, you aren't my boyfriend and you are most certainly not my friend." she said harshly.

There was a pause.

"Hard to get I see. Okay, if that's how you're gunna play, then I'll play."

"Ugh!"

Hinata walked through the glass door and and went up to the bookstore clerk.

"Hi Iruka." she smiled, calming down just a little.

"Hey Hinata, back so soon? And with a friend?" he asked.

"Yeah, and oh. He's not a friend."

The older male chuckled, but Kiba frowned.

Hinata placed the books on the counter. "Yeah, I was sure a girl like you wouldn't fall for his games."

"Hey! I'm serious this time Iruka! She's the one!"

"Oh please!" Hinata yelled from behind a bookshelf.

"Yeah, you say that everytime Kiba." Iruka laughed. "Until you get tired of them."

"Oh how charming! A flirt, a play boy, and a heartbreaker. He's the total package alright." Hinata said sarcastically. She grabbed her books and went to the counter to pay for them.

"Now wait a minute!"

She gave him a death glare.

"I think we're done here Kiba." she spat before leaving the store, leaving him there.

"Who does he think I am. If he thinks it's that easy for me to fall for him, then he should try running after all the other little girls around here." Hinata spoke to herself.

In the middle of her rant she wasn't paying attention to where she was going, so she didn't see that she had almost bumped into someone.

"Hey." the person called out.

She turned around to face said person. "O-oh I'm sorry." Hinata stuttered.

It turned out the voice belonged to a girl and she walked towards Hinata, looking skeptical. She leaned in, examing her face, and making Hinata feel awkward.

"Um, I'm not looking for a fight." Hinata reassured the other girl.

She stared at the darker girl in front of her. Her brown eyes and hair, that was put up into two perfect buns.

The girl stared into her eyes, then smiled.

"It's okay." she began. "Sorry about being all weird." she giggled then turned around to take her leave.

"O..kay?"

Hinata awkwardly turned around, then went on her way home.

...

The said girl turned around, remembering something, but saw as Hinata's figure disappeared.

She sighed.

"So that's her huh?" she said quietly to herself. "I totally didn't even ask for her name." she then said a little disappointed.

She giggled, and continued walking.

"Oh well Tenten.. You know there will definitely be a next time."
