The "Beast"

Hinata watched as the trickster before her tried dragging her through the front door.

"Wait a minute!" she yelled.

While stilling having a tight grip on the girl's wrist, Tenten turned her head around. "Yes? Problem?"

"Y-you can't just drag me in there?!" Hinata said, a bit uncertain.

"And why is that?"

Hinata racked her brain for a few seconds before answering. "Because, I'm practically unwanted."

That, she knew for sure.

Tenten stared, slowly letting go of her wrist. "You're right." the brunette started on her way through the large front door of the mansion, before leaving a crack open her voice trailing off, "..but if anything happens, I give you permission to blame me..." she finished with a cocky tone.

Hinata stared blankly at the spot where the girl was standing just moments ago. She quickly rushed towards the entrance and made her way inside, but the girl was nowhere in sight.

She disappeared.

Taking a few inches forward, Hinata glanced at her surroundings, looking left and right for any trace of a person.

But none.

The house was dimmed, almost dark, not to mention it was still daylight outside. All curtains blocking any trail of sunlight from entering the large home, not that there were many windows to begin with.

"H-Hello..?"

The door suddenly closed behind her with a loud bang, jumping, she snapped her head back, still, seeing no one in sight. Now she frantically searched her surroundings a second time.

Frightened, she raced towards the door, trying to open it, but to no avail. Yanking and pulling at it hoping that it would help.

Deep breaths Hinata.

She slowly walked away from the door, the hardwood floor creaking with each step. Calming herself down, she made sure to be more alert. Her footsteps echoed in the large room, and soon her feet tapped on the blood, red carpeted stairs; the rug subduing any sounds.

Towards the bottom of the steps stood Naruto's froends, creeping off to the side, making their appearances go unnoticed by their visitor.

Not even bothering to stop her, they let Hinata wander off on her own, hoping that things wouldn't turn out badly.

~•*•~

Quieting footsteps made the long hall sound so loud. Each echo trailing in the air with a prolonged sound that seemed never-ending. Another creak from the floorboards made her flinch. She felt trapped in a maze.

I don't even know where I'm going.

She stopped in her tracks, the low tapping silenced.

What am I even doing here?

At first she thought that she was looking for her friend, but now she knows that she's just being nosey.

As if realizing that didn't make matters worse, she found herself continuing down her path noticing a faraway door.

Once she reached the door, she peaked through. Curiousity getting the best of her, she opened it. The squeak in the hinges were so loud, it given her the sense that it was an alarm.

Squiggling her slim body through the crack, avoiding making anymore sounds, she entered the room.

She glanced around, noticing a large bed, and near it was a pile of books, scattered on the floor.

The room almost seemed as dark as the house, the thick curtains keeping the sun out. In front of the curtain was a small dusty table, and there, laid a single potted rose, blooming from the dirt inside the pot.

She stared sadly at the lack care it seemed to be getting as noticed it a little dry with absolutely no sunlight.

Hinata walked closer, leaning over the small table, she took hold of the silky curtains, and with one single motion, she swept her hand, letting the bright sunlight shine down on the once darken room. She squinted her eyes, but was soon shoved out of the way, her butt making contact with the hard floor. The person quickly took closed the curtains once again making the room dark.

Her attacker stared down at her and she could see the ridden anger within his eyes. Her very own began to water.

"What are you doing in my room!" his loud, husky voice carried throughout the room.

"I-I-"

"I told you to never come back here again, and now here you go invading my privacy!" she watched as his hand raised and she flinched instantly, hoping he wouldn't assault her. Scared for her life, the tears in her eyes unwillingly streamed down her cheeks.

He sighed heavily, watching her slim arms cover her face in defence, and hearing her sniffs. He turned his head towards the door, glaring at his friends watching the scene from the door that was now wide open.

He stared at the floor, he spoke a single word.

"Out."

He demanded harshly, and quietly.

Hinata got up as fast as her shaken legs could allow her too, before runing her way past his friends, she looked at one that was supposed to be hers. "Why did you bring me h-here?" her broken voice cried before running away and towards the gate.

She ran with her eyes covered, but crashed into someone in the process.

"Hey!- wait, Hinata?" a male voiced asked, holding onto her small frame.

She looked up, surprised to see Kiba, but rested her head on his chest anyways.

Kiba glanced away from her smaller figure and stared at the nearby mansion where he was sure she ran out from and frowned.

He knew about the house all too well, he'd be stupid not to, and one thing was certain, he didn't like Naruto at all. If he had anything to do with Hinata, Kiba would sure be pissed.

"What happened?" he whispered seriously into her hair, rubbing softly on her back for comfort.

Her voice was barely over a whisper as she spoke. "I was just heading home."

"I'll walk you."

"No it's fine." she moved away feeling a little awkward remembering who she was talking to.

"No games, I promise. I can actually be a decent person once you give me a chance." he admitted, looking at her all too seriously.

"Fine, but don't get any ideas." Hinata warned, wiping her eyes.

"Of course."

Walking silently, Hinata looked up towards the evening sky then glanced at Kiba every now and then, anticipating any moment he would take to make a move on her, but this time he respected her space and kept his mouth shut.

She stared at the ground feeling the awkward atmosphere grow a little more comfortable with each step, nothing but the wind filling in the silence.

After the short walk, Hinata said her thanks, only to be stop by his hand in hers. She stared at their joined hands, then looked up confusedly.

"L-listen Hinata. I know I've been causing you trouble, but I just wanted to say that whatever happened in that house, you can tell me okay? Let me show you that there's more to me than some guy who flirts all the time."

She turned her head the other way, her cheeks tinted pink. "If I give you a chance to be a decent person would you let go of my hand then." she whispered embarrassingly.

His very own blush creeped to his cheeks as he quickly let go of her hand. "Sorry about that."

"Thanks. For walking me home."

His hand made its way to his head, scratching his hair awkwardly. "Eh, no problem." he said sheepishly.

Once she turned around letting her hand rest on the doorknob, she paused, then turned around, watching as his very own figure was departing from their front lawn.

"Goodnight Kiba." she called out then entered the house before she could see or even hear his response.

After greeting her family she walked tiredly to her room, closing the door and letting her body carry it's way to sit at her bay window.

She stared blankly at the setting sky.

Maybe going there wasn't a good idea.

Her thoughts shifted, watching from the window as she saw that Kiba was giving his dog a walk; suddenly remembering their shared hands. She frowned, but when the dog pounced on him and started licking the boy's laughing face, she smiled.

Her eyes flickered sadly to the house that stood out from the rest.

She didn't know if whether or not it was all a big set up from trespassing before, but now she was just as unwanted as before. The more she thought about it, the more she was loosing her interest in the mansion.
