Home is too loud
The public is too crowded
Lights too bright, buildings
Too dark.
Inside suffocating, constricting
Outside distracting,
But filled with fresh air.

You see me sitting here.
Don't you?
I have plugs in my ears
My head is down.
You see that.
Don't you?

So why do you ignore it?
Why do you intrude?
You're muddying the waters
Of my mood.
