I learned that chocolate
Doesn't fix everything.

When you broke my stress ball,
You bought me chocolate
Hoping it would excuse you
And pardon your offense.
Hoping it would earn forgiveness,
And pay for the damage.

Inequivalent it was as a solution,
For it did not make up for the fact
That my only source of dealing
With you
Was now gone.
