Part 6

The breeze hits my face and makes me shudder. I miss Los Angeles when it comes up to the weather, I thought. Livvy decided that she'll stay in the Scholomace to watch Irene. I wanted to come out here to see the Dimmet Tarn. She said that it draws her in, makes her feel eerie. I came out here to investigate it, to take notes to see if I'm drawn to it by any chance. I take some more notes: just a bit of cold to make me shudder. Not much of a pull towards the Dimmet Tarn-. The pencil tip breaks in the middle of me finishing the notes. I rip off the leftover of the pencil tip and put it into my pocket. I look out at the Dimmet Tarn to see a bird fly across the surface, barely touching it. A breeze goes through the Dimmet Tarn again as I walk back to the Scholomace.

Walking past the doorway I see Livvy floating, waiting for me. She has her hands folded in front of her with a giant smile. I know that smile from anywhere.

"Hey Livvy, what did you do-" She floats up and charges at me, trying to grab my hand. Her smile gets bigger, lighting her whole face up like a Christmas tree.

"Ty! Ty, I have something for you!" She turns and runs to my room. She floats through the door, leaving me alone outside in the hallway. I stare at the door, seeing the designs of the wood. The door is made up of faux barn wood. Livvy's head pops through the door, waking me from my trance.

"Hey silly boy! What are you waiting for? You can come in!" She disappears once again as I open the door. My room looks completely the same, besides one human being sitting on my bed. The head snaps to look at the open door, at me. The face that I've tried so hard to forget pops up into my head.

"Kit?"

>.<

"I promise Kit, this is not Ty's room. It's the old room Diego used to have when he was here at the Scholomace." She slides through the door with the ease a ghost has. I nudge the door open and looked at the room. The room is clean and tidy, no dust anywhere.

"Livvy, it looks like someone was just here recently." I pointed it out to her. She spins around and smiles. She sits on the bed, not making any indentation.

"Kit, I have been here!" She bounces on the bed and laughs. Out of the corner of my eye I see something move. A giant cat comes out from a box in a corner. Livvy floats over and chases her hand on the ground. The cat stretches and looks at where Livvy is slowly tracing her hand. The cat lifts its paw and tries to catch Livvy's hand. When the paw passes through Livvy's hand she laughs.

"Her name is Irene. She's been saved from an injury. The Scholomace has kept her safe and healthy. I think she really likes it here." The cat jumps up on the couch and looks at me. I sit beside the cat and start petting it. The head of the nudges my hand, wanting me to pet its head. Irene starts purring and closing her eyes in excitement.

"She's a big cat." I said to Livvy. I whip my head at the sound of silence. Guess she left me, I thought. I sat there petting the cat, waiting for Livvy to come back.

"Kit, Kit! Hey, so don't freak out or anything. Look happy, okay!" She appears through the door and smiles again. I begin to stand when Livvy's head disappears through the door. She gives me the thumbs up and the door opens. A boy with dark black hair and blue-green eyes open the door. He stands there with awe written all over his face.

"Kit?" Ty asks. I stop petting Irene and sit there in shock. I look over to where Livvy is floating. I tilt my head at her asking, What did you do? I stand up and walk away from the bed, about seven feet away from Ty. He stares at me with concerning eyes.

"Is that really you, Kit?" He asks me again. I nod my head and shove my hands into my jean pocket. I look at my feet and kick rocks that don't exist. I look back up to see Livvy between the two of us.

"Please don't get mad, but I brought Kit here so you two could make it up. I didn't want to be the end of your two friendships, but that night you two left each other and I couldn't stand it! So I brought Kit here to bring you two back together. Kit, this is Ty's room, not Diego's." I look at her and shake my head, despite the shock. A small smile creeps onto my face, making me look back at Ty.

"Hey, Ty."

A/N: Man, what a cliffhanger and exciting ending!
