Jack's Wedding

3rd Person POV

Mark agreed, soon he realised he had to go record, she stayed outside of the room while he was recording, listening to his jokes and whatnot. He was the only one who could hear her voice and laughter. He smiled every time he heard it. Soon he stopped and walked out and went to the kitchen. He didn't want to bother looking for the other person because she was there. She floated out to see him looking on his phone and leaning against the counter.

"Are you ready?" Mark looked up from his phone.

"Ready for what?" She sighed.

"To go meet them. The person who's alive and can love you." Mark laughed a little, this made her confused.

"Why would I need to look for someone if you're here." He felt the familiar feeling of the cold hand return upon his cheek.

" Because you need to move on, you need to let yourself love someone else." He leaned against her hand, or well attempted. Mark seems to forget the whole 'my old girlfriend's a ghost' thing.

"But you're here, so why does it matter?" Normally if she weren't in a hurry she would have marched him over to the couch and spent three hours telling him why he should.

"Because he's getting married tomorrow!!!" Mark gasped realizing who she was talking about.

"Wait...That can't be true.... Jack was so excited about the wedding.... He loves Golf..."

"No he doesn't! He HATES Garolf! He's only doing it because I was dating you!!!" Mark gasped and covered his mouth. He remember how Jack's face looked when he told Jack about his relationship, and the slight jealousy he felt when he found out jack was getting married.

"I'm not gay." Her face gave off the expression that says 'are you kidding me'. She put her hands together with a clap and pointed them at Mark before saying.

"You're gay Mark." She may be a ghost but she knows her memes. Mark thought about this, yes he was happy with her. Yet he wasn't.

"You still care?" She shook her head in disbelief.

"Of course I care! I want you to be happy, even if it's not with me." She hugged Mark quickly before pulling away and putting her hands on his shoulders.

"You deserve to be happy." Soon night fell and the sun rose the next day. Jack's wedding was at 3 o'clock and it was around noon. Mark rushed to get ready, grabbing his suit from the closet and threw it on. Taming his wild red floof took a bit longer than he thought. Once he had found where he placed Jack's wedding gift and wrapped it, unfortunately he sucks at wrapping. Soon she had to take over and do it herself. Mark got in his car and drove down, while his ghost girlfriend flew behind the car, following him to the wedding.

" I'll be over by the altar, I'll try and get Jack to see me okay? I know you can do this." She placed a small kiss on his forehead before floating over next to Garolf. Mark set the gift on a table labeled 'Wedding Gifts'. He then walked into the room where Jack was getting ready. He knocked on the door, he waited for a moment hearing footsteps before the door opened.

"Oh hey Mark! How you been, I heard the news." It was Mark's pal Felix who answered the door.

"It's been hard but I've gotten a lot better the last few days." Felix patted his back.

"That's good, anyway Jack's still getting dressed."

"Alrig-"

"STUPID PANTS!! YOU FIT THE OTHER DAY!!! WHY NOT NOW!??!!?" Jack's yell echoed through the dressing room, making both Mark and Felix laugh. Felix and Mark carried on with casual banter until Jack walked out, with pants successfully on his person.

"Oh Mark! You're here..." Jack had hoped Mark wouldn't have come, it would have made it easier for him to get married without having to hide his feelings.

"Well of course, why would I miss my bestfriends wedding?!" Mark gave Jack a quick hug before looking at his amazing ocean like eyes. Jack returned the gaze, including a soft smile.

"Mark, is everything okay? People are starting to wonder where you guys are. Garolf looks like he could blow a gasket at any second." Mark's face lost its smile.

"We need to get you up there, it's your big day after all." A smaller smile than before danced upon his lips. Mark walked out into the alter, I mean he's Jack's best man where else is he supposed to go? Garolf shot Mark a dirty look. Mark held his hands behind his back, realising that soon they were feeling hot and sweaty. The music started playing as the doors opened for Jack and his father as they walked down the aisle. Mark smiled, he was happy he knew what he was going to do, but he was scared to do it. Garolf was forcing his smile, and she could see it as clear as day. The pastor dragged on and on until she heard her cue.

"Speak now or forever hold your peace." Mark opened his mouth to say something when she possessed him, taking over his speech. She made Mark raise his hand.

"I do." Mark looked at Jack and walked over to Garolf.

"You don't love him, I can see it in the way you act. You don't want him for love, you want him for money." Jack's jaw dropped as he looked over at Garolf.

"Y-you dont... H-he's wrong...right... ?" Jack's voice was cracking with disbelief. Garolf looked at Mark, his face showing anger and shock. He returned his attention to Jack, grabbing his hands and squeezing softly.

"Of course he is, he's just jealous of what we have since he lost his pathetic girlfriend." She took no offense to that, she was more angry that he was lying to Jack and everyone else, perhaps even himself. She didn't even realise she had left Mark's body until she saw Mark and Jack's faces. They looked infuriated. Some of her old friends in the seats looked shocked, while others looked mad.

"HOW DARE YOU!" Mark shouted at the top of his lungs. Jack grabbed Mark's wrist and marched back down the aisle back into the dressing room and shutting the door. Jack hugged Mark close as he began to cry into his chest. She followed them and tried her best to make sure Jack heard him, but he could only hear small parts.

"Jack......Dont.....Im sorry.... Keep....Strong....It's me... Friend..." Jack looked up at Mark to tell him he was hearing his dead friend talk to him. He thought it may have been his emotions overwhelming him.

"She said, Jack, if you can hear me dont worry. I'm sorry I had to do this, but I had to keep Garolf from marrying you. I had a strong feeling you'll be scared by this, but it's me, your friend. She's been talking to me too, she was the one who told me to move on and get over her." Mark tilted Jack's head up.

"She told me to move on so I could be with you." He was leaning in for a small kiss when the door slammed open.

"Get away from Jack." Garolf's voice boomed. He grabbed the back of Jack's shirt and pulled it toward him. Mark tried to reach out for Jack only to have his hand slapped away by Garolf. Garolf let go of Jack's shirt and pushed Mark out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.

"Just forget about him Jack, you don't want him." Jack could feel the anger that had been hidden by his smile. Jack looked down at the floor.

"Stop telling me how I feel." Garolf stopped and forced Jack's head up.

"What did you say to me?" Jack grabbed his wrist and moved it from his jaw and gave Garolf a cold, harsh stare.

"Stop telling me how I feel. Mark has been there for me longer than you. He's helped me get better at my job."

"You mean he got you more people to fall for your trap and like you." Jack was trying to keep his anger under control, but he just snapped.

"So was Mark right?! Do you only want me for my money?!" Garolf shook his head trying to hide his lies.

"No no no I love you for you."

"Then why don't you say it." Garolf tilted his head in confusion.

"What?"

"That was the first time you said you loved me, it wasn't even just saying it. You said it because I asked you if you loved me." Mark was listening, so was she. She never left the room.

"I can't believe you Jack. You're making a big deal out of nothing." Forget snapping Jack blew a fuse.

"YOU CAN'T BELIEVE ME?!?!? I CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE STUCK AROUND YOU FOR SO LONG!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I ACCEPTED YOUR PROPOSAL!" With that Jack pulled the ring off his finger and slammed in onto the ground, the small clatter echoed through the room. After he did that Jack marched out of the room. He pulled out his car keys and walked out towards his car, not saying a word to anyone.

"Jack wait!" Mark called out to him as Jack walked out the door. Jack ignored him and kept walking. He got in the car, slamming the door and started the car. Mark ran over and knocked on his window. Jack tried not to cry as he drove off, leaving Mark in the dust. Mark ran over to his car. He started the car and drove after Jack. Jack checked the rearview mirror to see Mark and a pale figure. He jumped and screamed, gripping tight to the wheel.
