Chapter One
Dear Mom, Dad, And Mabel,
I have decided to do something that you guys might hate. I am moving back to Gravity Falls. As you know I am eighteen and I can make my own rules now.
Our great uncles have been dead for awhile now and their place has been vacant and for sale. I have saved enough money to buy it and I finally did. I love you guys.
Sincerely,
Dipper Pines.
Dipper set down his pencil and looked around his room one last time before walking out, his suitcase in hand. He smiled as he walked down the stairs, the pictures on the wall begging him not to leave. Dipper walked out the door. "Goodbye." He shut the door behind him. As soon as he got in the car and pulled out of the driveway, Mabel came running out the door. She fell to her knees crying. Dipper didn't want to look back. Because if he looked back he would stay. And if he stayed he would feel trapped. Dipper didn't want to feel trapped anymore. He wanted to feel free for once.

It didn't take long to get to Gravity Falls. He smiled as the Mystery Shack was still there. Sure it needed to be fixed a little, but that was okay. He walked inside, the memories flooding his brain. He looked around. Everything was still there. The pictures, the furniture, the weird smell, and more. He walked upstairs. He walked in every room, looking through everything. 'Dipper.' He froze as he thought he heard his name being whispered. "Well that was weird." He shook it off as just another memory.
Dipper decided to take a nap and unpack tomorrow. He smiled as he curled up on the couch.
~Dipper's dream~
Everything was black and white. No color to be seen. Dipper walked around what seemed to be the woods. "Hello?" He called out hoping someone would hear him. Dipper came to a clearing. It was beautiful and full of life. Pink, purple, blue, and shades of green. Orange, yellow, vibrant shades of red. There were flowers and big oak trees. A stream with a waterfall. And..a big stone statue. Before he could tell what it was, a voice spoke. "Its time to wake up." The voice was loud and scratchy. It sounded male and that it hasn't spoke in years. "Wake up. Someone is at the door."
Dipper woke up, and of course someone was at the door. Dipper got up reluctantly and answered the door.
"Dipper!" A strong pair of arms wrapped around him.
"Hey Wendy." He yawned and hugged back.
She pulled back and smiled. She pulled out a small envelope and handed it to him.
"Happy late birthday. Its to help you settle in." She smiled again.
Dipper opened it up to see about three hundred dollars. "I can't take this." He tried handing it back to her but she wouldn't accept it.
"No. Keep it. I gotta get going." She gave him one more hu before walking away.
"Bye Wendy." He closed the door and sat back on the couch. Dipper was relived to see a friendly face. He turned on the television and drifted off back to sleep.
