A Not So Happy Reunion

"I missed you! You freak!" Cassie cried out as she playfully hit him once she had finally brought herself back to reality. Frankie just laughed a little as he looked at his older friend. "I missed you too Salazar and my mini partners in crime. I'm guessing they're not here tonight though," Frankie told Cassie who just laughed.

"No thank god for that. Who knows what kind of trouble you all would get into. I still remember the last time I let you babysit. Worst mistake of my life," Cassie jokingly told Frankie who just laughed. "Oh come on it wasn't even that bad," Frankie exclaimed to his older friend who just laughed again.

"Oh it definitely was," Cassie cried out, making Frankie smile. "Okay I'll admit it might have been a little bit of a crazy idea but it was so much fun. I really do miss them though," Frankie told Cassie who smiled and nodded.

"Well they definitely miss you too. You're gonna have to come and see them before you leave again. I don't think there's any other option. Oh and wait until you see Mal now. She's gotten so big since the last time you saw her," Cassie playfully told Frankie who just smiled and nodded.

"Yeah I think you're right about that one and has she really," Frankie told Cassie who nodded as she looked back at Frankie after letting go of the hug. "Yeah she has, you're going to be so shocked when you do see her," Cassie told Frankie who just laughed as he nodded. "Well I can't wait then," Frankie exclaimed.

"Me too and oh my god I just noticed. No look at the buzz. Okay no I'm not okay with this at all," Cassie told Frankie as she actually got a good look at Frankie and finally got a look at the buzz cut on his head. She just started playing around with his hair as she still couldn't believe that Frankie was actually doing this and going into the marines.

Frankie just laughed as he let Cassie playfully mess with his hair. "Oh Frankie ... Nora. Nora... Frankie. Nora they're in the Loyal with me and Frankie we grew up together and I was his babysitter," Cassie playfully told the two as she introduced her two friends to each other making Frankie feel embarrassed as he could hear the other marines making fun of him.

"Oh you just had to say that in front of everyone," Frankie told Cassie, making her laugh as the others kept playfully making fun of him. "You see what you did," Frankie exclaimed somewhat jokingly, leading to Nora deciding that they wanted to get in on the playing around.

"Cassie was just telling me how much she loves military boys," Nora jokingly told the men knowing that Cassie actually couldn't stand them. Frankie just laughed a little as he heard her make a sound as he also knew how strongly Cassie felt against military men.

"Oh yeah yeah yeah. Uh, these are the guys. We've got two weeks 'till we ship out to Iraq," Frankie told Cassie, deciding it was his turn to introduce who he was with. "Wait, we're still in Iraq?" Cassie asked in shock as she looked at Frankie who just nodded.

"Not out yet," Frankie told Cassie who sighed as she took in the information. "Another war that never ends," Cassie exclaimed disappointedly before remembering that she was still supposed to be doing her job as she just put on her best friendly smile and looked at the men.

"Well in that case, what do you guys wanna drink? First one's on the house," Cassie told the men as she tried her best to seem as friendly as she could hoping to hopefully get something out of this.

Cassie had been really struggling with money lately and if she was being forced to have to entertain a bunch of men she couldn't stand she at least would want something out of it. The men all just cheered excitedly as they started calling out their drinks to her.

Cassie just looked over at one of the men as she could instantly tell that he was underage. "Uh, does he look old enough to drink Tequila?" Cassie asked Nora who just eyed him as they shook their head no. "Absolutely not," Nora told Cassie who just nodded in agreement. "No absolutely not," Cassie jokingly exclaimed as the other men just continued to shout out their drink orders.

"Uh I'll have a coke," Cassie heard one of the men say, making her smile a little as she had to admit he was kind of cute and she didn't mind a little playful flirting as long as it didn't actually go anywhere. She was also still hoping to make some more money off of tips. She had been slowly falling behind in her rent and trying to keep up with her medical bills and providing for the kids.

"Oh my kinda guy," Cassie flirtingly told him, making him smile a little bit as he decided to play along with her. "Hell yeah! Could you throw in some lemon slices with that?" Luke jokingly told Cassie deciding to go along with her as he found her kinda cute and he had a feeling that she thought the same about him.

Cassie just laughed as she couldn't help it. "How about you pace yourself, bro," Cassie playfully told Luke as she just laughed again and walked off to get the drinks. Once Cassie had walked off to get the drinks Luke just smiled as he looked over at his fellow marines.

Frankie immediately shook his head as he knew that Luke definitely didn't stand a chance. As long as he could remember Cassie always seemed to be against the idea of military men. He could still remember how heated she would get whenever they were brought up.

"No okay just no it's not gonna happen trust me. Just let it go cheekbones," Frankie told Luke immediately trying to shut him down before he made a fool of himself. Luke didn't seem to listen though as he seemed to get the wrong idea about his intentions.

Frankie had to hold back when he heard what Luke was implying about how he felt when it came to Cassie. Cassie was basically his older sister and he would never see her in that way. Just the thought of that almost made him sick. They grew up together and they were practically family. In fact her kids even referred to him as Uncle Frankie.

"No she's like an older sister to me," Frankie quickly told Luke, causing Nora to join in deciding to help make things more clear. "Uh Cassie has a no soldiers policy sorry," Nora told the men hoping to get them all to stop going after their friend.

This didn't seem to do much though as one of the men decided to go for Nora instead making Nora laugh as they quickly tried to change the subject and get the men to back off of them as well.

While Nora was still entertaining the men Cassie just came back with the drinks. Things seemed to be going well until Armando decided to start an argument as he looked at Cassie. "So we're good enough to fight for your ass but not good enough to touch it," Armando told Cassie in a snarky voice, quickly shifting Cassie's mood as she felt the anger start to build up inside.

"Excuse me?" Cassie quickly scoffed as she continued to stare Armando down. "Okay I'll excuse you... this time," Armando told Cassie still in his snarky and hostile voice finally causing Cassie to have enough as she just slammed the tray down and walked away.

Cassie knew that she needed this money but she just couldn't deal with the insults and the sexist behavior anymore. These men had no clue what she was going through and she wasn't just going to let them treat her this way. This was exactly why she didn't like military men.
