I was taught to have faith
To believe in what I can't see
To believe a supernatural being made me
Understand he watches over his creation
Saving them from massive destruction

I was taught to have faith
My beliefs have gotten me nowhere
Unbelievers succeeding everywhere
Am I like this because I believe
Maybe I should just leave
I sometimes wonderful if He is up there
Or perhaps He just doesn't care
Because the suffering of a child a father can't bare
Yet his children wallow in sorrow
Wondering if there is hope for tomorrow

I was taught to have faith
Regardless of my situation now
To the will of Him I will now
For me to see is not to believe
For one day the manifestation of his work I will see

I was taught to have faith
I'm human so I don't have faith
But when I look at his creation, the Earth
I am reassured that my life isn't a mess
All a face is just a big test

          So yes I have faith,
That His power I will see before my last                                  breath
