Tic, tac, tic, tac, creak,

Noise in the night.

If you want to take a peak,

Get out of bed and turn on the light.

Press your ear to the floor,

you hear again the noise.

then listen to my tale girls and boys,

Adults say it's just a pipe leak,

I say it's a creature called Tic Tac Creak.

He hides during the day,

and comes out at night to play.

He creeps down the hall,

you hear him through the ceiling, floor, and wall.

No one knows what he looks like,

But we know that he is a little tike.

If you don't believe me,

and only believe what you see;

At night be quiet and listen close,

for this is when he comes out most.  

Author's note: My house is heated by pumping hot water through pipes in the walls and it makes this creaking noise. I only really noticed it at night though and made up my own reason for the sounds. Then I told my parents about it and they told me about the pipes. I like my explanation better though. XD
