Chapter 4

"THREE!!"

Grayson pulls the tent entrance open, letting Drake, who is now holding a big ball of blue flames, rush in.
---------
"DRAKE?!" A pitched voice squeaked out, undoubtedly terrified.
Under the light of his flame, Drake can see who was in front on him, clear as can be.

That doesn't mean he expected Armen to be in Mia's death grip with a knife at his throat.

"ARMEN?!" Drake yells, baffled.
"WAIT, DRAKE YOU KNOW THIS GUY?!" Mia exclaims, looking as confused as he was.
Armen tries to say something, but Mia growls, pressing the knife dangerously close to his neck.
"Wait what?" Grayson popped inside and shrieks at the sight. "OH MY GOD! MIA!! PUT THE KNIFE DOWN-"

"BUT-" Mia tries to protest, but Drake interjects.
"NO BUT'S, MIA. KNIFE, DOWN."
Though hesitant, Mia pulls the knife away from Armen.
"Oh thank god." He breaths a sigh of relief, but stiffens again when she glares at him.

The tent's suddenly very quiet, tension still high up in the air.

Armen's rubbing his arm nervously, trying to ignore the intense glare Mia's giving him. At this point both Grayson and Drake are inside the tent, a mix of surprise and discomfort running through their heads. All in all, everyone's pretty uncomfortable.

Grayson coughs, grabbing the attention of everyone. "So, uh, what happened?"

"Well, I went to check on him." Mia starts, nudging her head in Armen's direction. "Then when I turned my back to grab a potion, he tried to restrain me."

"Obviously that plan backfired, cause I ended up getting the upper hand." She continued, waving her knife a bit.

Armen flinches slightly. "Well, sorry Miss Sassypants. I just got out of Hell, and it's not like I can trust anyone. Let alone a knife-wielding psycho with some pretty weird ears."
Mia's ears perk upwards as she turns sharply to Armen. "What did you say?!"
"I said your ears are weird, you crazy person." He replies, sticking his tongue out.

"Agh, EXCUSE me?! Who even ARE you, you don't have a right to say that to the person who, well I don't know, SAVED YOUR LIFE?!!"
"Hah! PLEASE! I doubt you were the one who literally dragged me out of HELL!"
"No, but I DID drag you out of the desert where the Nightmares could get you!! Maybe I should've left you there!"
"Drake, who is this girl?!! How do you even know her?!"
"Hey bub! I'm the one who should be asking you that!! Grayson, help me out here!"

The two continues to bicker and argue and soon it was just too much for both the blonde and the hybrid.

"Will both of you just CALM DOWN?! DO YOU WANT ANY ENEMIES FINDING US?!" Grayson yells over the two, eyes burning with annoyance.
That got both Armen and Mia to clam up, staring at Grayson with wide-eyes.
"Thank you." He says, taking a breather.
---------
After a moment, everyone seems to calm down, except Armen.

Armen looks a bit nervous, glancing back and forth at the three in front of him, and coughs to get everyone's attention. "I, um, still don't know what exactly happened before," He gestures to everyone and everything. "all this. Care to explain, anyone?"

Drake nods and goes over to the elf, tapping her shoulder. "Uhh, hey, Mia? Can you watch the perimeter for us, please?"
Mia was about to protest, but then realises that this must be pretty important for the three guys, so she bites back her tongue. "Sure, i'll holler if anything goes haywire."

Once she's out the tent, Grayson and Drake glance at each other and then at Armen.
"Do you want to tell him?" Grayson asks the mage.
"Yeah, I remember everything afterall." Drake responds, fixing his sitting position.
"Oooo, story time!" Armen says jokingly, sitting with his legs crossed like a small child.

Grayson scoffs, smiling. "Dude, c'mon. We're trying to be serious."
"Yeah, c'mon Armen. It's been, like, years, since we've actually been around the REAL you." Drake continues, though with a strict tone he had a smile on his face as well.
"Welp, just lightening the mood after that whole 'fiasco'." Armen says, waving his arms a bit. "But, yeah, go on and tell your story Drake."
Drake coughs, and looks at the two boys. "So, I suppose I should start now?"
---------
"I, ah, wow.." Armen finally says, once Drake finishes talking.
"Alot to take in? I get that. When Drake told me the story, I was kinda overwhelmed too." Grayson replies, smiling knowingly.
"Heh, yeah. That's, hah, that's alot of info..." The dark-haired boy agrees, smiling back.
Drake notices that Armen starts to sway slightly. "Uh, Armen are you good-"
Suddenly, Armen's tipping over and almost falling flat on the floor. Thankfully, Grayson caught him before he could injure himself more.
"OH MY GOSH ARMEN ARE YOU OK??" The blonde asks worriedly, helping Armen lie back down.
"Yeah, yeah, no. I'm good, trust me. Just a little...dizzy. That really WAS alot of information." Armen replies, chuckling a bit.

The realization dawns on Drake. "Oh my gosh I forgot to heal you!"

He quickly goes over to Armen's side and places his hands on the younger boy's forehead, repeating the process he's done on himself and on Grayson to subdue the pain. After a few minutes, the mist dissipates as he lifts his hand off Armen. "Do you feel slightly better?"

He nods, sitting back up and holding his head. Grayson stays nearby in case he tips over again. "I'm good, don't worry."
Armen looks at the two and smiles gratefully. "Thanks you guys. I'm...really happy to be back."

They both return his smile, glad to have their old friend back safe and sound.
"We can go back to living our normal lives now, huh?" The younger one says, chuckling.

That's when both their smiles falter. He doesn't know yet, and they're not sure how to break the news to him-

Mia's head pops into the tent, looking very startled. "Uh, guys?? You may want to hurry up with your conversation, cause we're going to have to leave RIGHT NOW!!"
