Chapter 10 (Part 3)

The news chilled Drake down to his very core. "What? How do you know?" He probably should be freaking out more, but even still, with Collin around he felt comforted. It's strange, he's still yet to figure out why but it's not unwanted.
Collin sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Well, I don't know for certain what exactly he's plotting. I just know it's not good."
He looks back up at the hybrid. "Have you ever stopped and wondered why you haven't had headaches in a while? Why everything feels so calm in your mind?"
The mage opened his mouth to reply, but closed it when he realized. No, he hasn't wondered about it, but it wasn't an unwelcomed change. His peace of mind was rather refreshing. "...No, actually."

"That's thanks to me. I've been keeping Herobine at bay up until, well, not too long ago." The smaller teen continues, referring to the unpleasant events that happened beforehand. "It was pretty difficult, but I was able to do it for a while. That is, until he just stopped fighting me."
"Stopped fighting you? As in, gave up completely?" Drake asked.
Collin shakes his head, frowning. "I wish. I've stopped feeling his fighting presence every now and then because it seems he's been planning something. And I was right, because now he has another vessel. A very familiar one."

"He's reanimated my corpse yet again."

"Herobrine is using your old body?! God that's- that's fucked up." The mage exclaimed, hands turning to fists.
The pale-eyed boy nods in agreement. "I suppose he could never have gotten rid of me. I gave him his image, his freedom. So, we're forever bound."
Collin walks back to the table, sitting down and taking another sip of his tea.
It's cold, but at least it's still good.
Drake remembers and drinks some as well, though cringing slightly. He's never really been fond of cold tea.

"Despite this, He found a way to block me from viewing through my old corpse's eyes. I can't see where he's gone, or what he's done anymore. This has been... aggravating me." The smaller sighs, pushing his now-empty cup to the side.
"In any case, I have an idea on what you should head off to first." He continues, watching as Drake finishes his cold tea and leaves his empty cup to the side.
"Really? Well, where to?" The hybrid asks, crossing his arms and leaning them on the table.
"You should head back to the old house. That old rickety house can be your base of operations." Collin replies, smiling a little.

He remembers when he was alive once, watching over baby Armen and teaching him most of what he knows in that house. Collin always had to take care of his baby brother, their father was always absent from their lives due to the stress of work and their mother disappearing to god knows where doing god knows what. It's not like he minded though, Armen filled the empty gap in his life and made his living worthwhile. If only he could see his baby brother again...

"Collin? You still there?" The sound of Drake's voice brings him back.
Collin shakes his head. Don't reminisce now, Collin. You have to help Drake and his friends on their journey, no matter what.
"Ah, yes. I- sorry. I was just.. thinking." The pale-eyed teen laughs embarrassingly. "In any case, start there, and i'm sure you'll figure out where you need to go next."

Suddenly, everything aroudn the two disappear from sight. The bushes, greenary, sky, and stone path, all of it gone in a blink of an eye. The only thing that stood left was that of the table and chairs. Even the teapot and cups were nowhere to be seen.
"Whoa!! What's happening?" The hybrid asks, jumping out of his seat.
As soon as he got off, the chair disappeared.
"I think you're waking up, which means time is up for our discussion." Collin answers, getting up as well.
As the last of the furniture disappears, the smaller boy grabs Drake and leads him off elsewhere. Soon, a bed was in view.
"Wait, but you have so much more to tell me!!"
Collin lays the hybrid down on the bed and tucks him in like a mother would. Then, he sits on the side of his bed, smiling softly. "I know Drake, but you're still half-human. Time will reveal all, and you'll know the things you need to know soon enough."

He kisses the hybrid on his forehead. "It's time to wake up, Drake."

Collin starts to hum a familiar tune, the same lullabye he sang the first time they met. The mage's eyes begun to feel heavy as his eyes gave way to tiredness and comfort...
